Our first visit even though living less than a mile away for more than 20 years! It was a very pleasant and our food delish. Server was very attentive too.
Great find! Food and service were outstanding. Impressed my customers. Great for family, friends and clients.
Quite expensive for what you get. Shrimp cocktail has only 4 shrimps, we asked for bread for 2 people and got 3 tiny pieces of bread and the rest of the bread came after we were done with the entire meal. Steak was good on the other hand but there are other restaurants in town where you pay about the same and have a better ambiance and more shrimps. Good experience but we don't feel like this is place where we would return to.
Great food and great service. The owners were there and were pleasant to chat with. Will go back again.
A great steakhouse. Everything from the appetizer to the steak to the apple pie with cinnamon ice cream was great. Service was great. Wine was good. No complaints at all.
An awesome place! Steaks were tender, tasty and perfect! Baked potato and asparagus excellent! Service level absolutely incredible! Best meal ever!
Service and waitress were great. Had a shrimp appatizer first which was nice, each had filet cooked perfectly and the accompaniments were good as well. The only weak point was the desert. While it was tasty , for $9 it should have been more than 2 bites. Had the peanut butter pie. It was a small little thing with a small scoop of ice cream. That was disappointing finish.
Desert does not cost that much. Not enough for one leave alone sharing. Other than that it was a pleasant experience.
When you choose to go back for another dinner two days later, that says a lot, and it should. We were so pleased to discover Luke's right in our family's neighborhood. I repeated on the Caprese as it is a favorite of mine and was the best I have had, anywhere. On night one, I had the beef tenderloin carbonara which was delightful; on night two I enjoyed the lamb chops. Sorry I cannot suggest any desserts, as there was no room left. We wish this fine restaurant great success and look forward to visiting on our next trip to Denver.
Good steaks high end food not as pricey as elways or other high end steak houses nice staff and atmosphere
Great food! Surprised at the ambiance for a strip mall! Service was slow but very cordial so it was a good thing we weren't in a hurry.
While the salad and varied sides no longer accompany the main course, it is still a value and worth driving across town for. The steaks are always been cooked to perfection. Just enough marble. Try one and you'll return . . . often.
My wife and I both ordered the mussels as an appetizer. The mussels were either old or over cooked, making them uneatable. We both ordered the prime rib dinner. What we got was a boneless rib-eye steak with cross-hatched grill marks on it. The steaks were cooked as ordered. Luke's also uses a seasoning salt on the steaks we got which is not something I prefer, just sea salt please. I think Luke's needs to improve on the quality of food it is serving.
Local, with wonderful steaks and other options for non-red meat eaters.
A lovely spot in an unpretentious strip mall.
The food was excellent!
I'd return with friends!
My filet Mignon was good, but husbands 14 of NY strip was very marbled with fat, and only about half meet. Parmesan mashed potatoes were very good, and peanut butter and chocolate cherry desserts were great.
While the food is still great, the ownership recently changed hands and it isn't the same. Several favorites were taken off the menu. The food was good. The Salmon, Steak Carbonara and Filet were all great. The Lasagna isn't what you would expect but still okay. Salads are not done family style any longer but they split them for us and were quite tasty.
Shout out to Regan who was our server. He was fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating and suggested a phenomenal red wine at a good price point.
The steaks are among the best in town....not inexpensive, but you do get what you pay for! Prime beef is hard to come by anymore. The service was very good, the staff very personable, great bartender and wait staff. Our server Jazmin was excellent. A great dinner, cooked perfectly and oh so tasty. If you want a great steak and prefer casual as we do, this is the place. Great for family or just for two.
Fabulous presentation and wonderfully flavored food. Firm cheesecake should have been served with a fork rather than spoon.
Service was good, food was just ok! I was so glad that I had a groupon for this meal. The lobster appetizer was delish. The main dish (pork chop) was tough, the polenta was watery and beans were down right awful! I'd stick with a steak if you want their best.
We chose this restaurant based on it's reviews and we were not let down! The outside vibe is strip-mall fancy, but inside is really nice and comfortable. The service was exceptional, the food came out quickly, and the steak was cooked PERFECTLY. As in mine was rare and my wife's was medium. It's actually not that often that happens, so props to the kitchen.
We will absolutely be back to try the other entrees. 5 stars!
We have an excellent dinner at Luke's. Our steaks were very good, and we really enjoyed the pan fried potatoes.
The food was excellent, but our service was slow. Other tables were getting their drinks and bread right away, it took a long time for our drinks, and we had to ask twice for bread. At the end, two of the male waiters kind of took up the slack and brought us bread, salt and pepper and more water. It was for my best friends birthday, I noted that on the reservation, but there was no mention of it by our server. Most high end restaurants offer a desert or something.
I have been there before and had a much better experience.
Delicious! Loved the lobster cilantro cocktail, and the steaks were awesome !
We had a wonderful meal and great service. The restaurant was a little warm but other than that it was a great evening for my husband's birthday.
The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is wonderful.
Can you please have some affordable wine on hand. No one wants to pay $75 for a bottle. Did you notice last Centerpiece Jazz concert EVERYONE ordered by the glass.
Very nice, low key, but wonderful meal. Service was great and did not feel rushed. Will be going back soon.
The best steaks. Great bread.
Great value for the Groupon. Steaks were delicious, dessert was great. App was a little light on the Shrimp, but for the price, no complaints. We were in a rush, and the server totally accommodated us, and the steaks came out perfect on very short notice. Excellent food, excellent service.
Outstanding steak. All was excellent. Friendly wait staff. A little pricey but worth it. Some of the best food I have had
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The steaks and the pan fried potatoes are amazing. The bartender is awesome.
We made a reservation on a Friday afternoon and had no trouble getting a table at 7 PM.
We shared a Porterhouse steak and it was one of the best steaks I've had. It was prepared perfectly!
My girlfriends and I meet here for dinner. The staff was great, friendly and on top of it. The food was fabulous. We will be returning.
We have dined at Luke's regularly over the last 15 years and have always enjoyed the best steaks there, right in our own neighborhood. We stuck with them when the menu changed from everything being ordered a la carte, to a more all inclusive, expanded dinner menu, and thought it was an improvement. On our most recent visit, we were surprised to see a new menu again, but for the most part, it was still Luke's. I later learned from other reviewers that there are new owners. The steaks were great and cooked correctly and the service was very good. We were disappointed that our favorite bottle of wine, Abstract by Orin Swift, was no longer on the list, but we had some good cocktails instead. In the past, the salad was included with the meal, now it is an extra charge. It was the same great salad, but now everything was chopped up which we thought was an improvement. The house Italian dressing did not taste quite as good as we remembered--maybe it is no longer house-made? We used to be able to choose from a small selection of side dishes, besides the choice of potatoes (the pan fried potatoes are still the best), now you get a seasonal vegetable which happened to be asparagus. That is a favorite choice for us, but unfortunately it was way overcooked and stringy. Overall, the new owners have retained the best things about Luke's, but I would advise them not to stray much further from the original, because what we liked best about Luke's was the dinner menu with everything included, and the great quality of the food that was always consistently cooked.
We went to Luke's for our anniversary with the 5280 promotion. It was a mixture of casual and fine dinning. Luke's is a in a strip mall. The tables were nicely set with tablecloths and place settings. The service was excellent: however, the servers were dressed in black but wearing white tennis shoes. The salad and bread were both great. The prime rib was ok, and a good size piece. The potatoes were average and the asparagus was blah. I was looking forward to the cheesecake for desert. They brought a big slice of cheesecake with strawberry topping. It looked really good. I took a bite and was so disappointed: It was terrible. The cheesecake was very salty and gooey in the middle. It was a real let down. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Luke's.
Excellent food, service and attention to detail! Thanks for a great evening!
Went here for Denver Restaurant Week. Limited menu option (only one choice) was an initial concern, but the food was terrific. Wine choices at $6/glass were good. Service was attentive but not clinging.
Excellent prime rib dinner during Restaurant Week! Our server was friendly and attentive. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, and the sides were delicious. We were very impressed with the new owners! We will definitely return soon.
My steak had to be replaced. I ordered it Medium and without butter or seasoning. The steak was slightly overcooked, I was given another steak which was much thicker, juicier, with too much seasoning. By then my guests were embarrassed and I had no choice but to eat the seasoned steak.
Having eaten at Luke's in the past and being very happy with the food, service and value for what we paid, imagine our shock when none of these things happened. The food was just ok, the service was fine, and some of the drink orders where not as requested. Value, no way. After spending over $400, we certainly expected better. Would not be or first choice for a meal out the next time we go out
