Luigi's Restaurant & Bar
Food was delicious. Service was a little on the slow side.
Always great! You aren’t rushed to eat and the staff is very attentive
Food was great as usual but it was very busy and we waited over an hour to get our food.
Very good good and friendly efficient service.
Every plate of food is drenched in sauce.. any piece of meat is buried under hard cheese and a quart of sauce. Terrible food. I even looked at the tables next to us and everyone’s plate was the same.. hey chef, easy on the sauce can we taste our food please?!?!
Nice valentines experience with a good set menu!
Always good at Luigi’s
Service was very good, ambience was nice and it was some of the best Italian food I've eaten in a long time.
Excellent friendly service. Wide variety menu. Food was excellent!
They were able to seat me on time despite being jam packed. Overall everything worked out excellent and I had a great time.
Family get together. Great service! Special shout out to Erica and Alex who assisted us!
Great server, delicious food but a bit cramped and loud- as I’d expect on a Saturday night. Will definitely return.
Delicious food and great service perfect for my birthday celebration!
Outstanding as always! The food and staff are amazing. Always a great meal!
Always a great meal, service was very good
Great service, Great Food an all around great place to go..
The food was great and service. The only thing was the waiting area for your table.
Very lively dinner very noisy but place was packed
Great food served by friendly staff. Highly recommend
Always a great meal. Never disappointed. The only criticism was that the calamari came out at room temperature.
Excellent but the noise level was a little overpowering.
The food was NOT amazing as we had expected!!!
We went to Luigi’s on a Saturday night with the kids and grandma. It was crowded so I suggest a reservation but since we had one we were seated right away. Food was great and our server kept giving us more bread because he saw how much the kids loved it. Portions are big, you will go home with a doggy bag and food was delicious
I took my fiance to this neighborhood gem in New Hyde Park. Checking in with the hostess was very tight due to the little waiting area. People who don't like crowds will not like waiting so reservations are necessary to seated accordingly. Place was poppin and busy for a Saturday night.
They have a variety of drinks off the tap especially wines and cocktails that is worth every dollar. My fiance got the Luigi Old Fashioned which was off the tap meaning that the bourbon was aged in the restaurant. The cocktail was served "up" full in a martini glass. That cocktail was really strong but he was happy.
We decided to get the homemade pasta. Pappardelle with short rib and pappardelle with eggplant. Service was impressively quick and fast (unsure if they want to get of us because it was a busy night or they feel inferior because I am the only Asian (yellow race/skin). The pasta dishes were amazing and its portion size is good of you are hungry for portion control it serves 2-3 people.
We got tiramisu for dessert which was to die for. Can't wait to return for more!!
Food and service were amazing
Always a good time and excellent food. Never disappoints.
It was so much fun. Carly, our server, was gracious, patient and helpful. We all enjoyed our food — baked clams, antipasti & the Specials Lobster salad & Veal cutlets, terrific Tiramisu and cappuccino! Bravo Luigi’s!
Food is wonderful! Luigi's gives you so much for your money. Waiters are knowledgeable, sensitive to your questions, and prompt with fulfilling your requests.
Have been coming here and always good service and good. Service could slow down a bit however. Sometimes feels rushed.
Always the best place for great Italian cuisine. It is one if my favorite restaurants.
This is one of my most favorite restaurants. My family brought me for my birthday and some of them have never been there and they enjoyed it very much. We had a great waiter Stephen and he was attentive as well as personable. The food was as always amazing :)
Every year for about the last 25 years, my wedding party has reunited for a Christmas dinner. One lives in Brooklyn, two in Queens, and me out here in eastern Nassau. We always try to find a good midpoint restaurant and have gone to a number of different places in Eastern Queens. We always had a great time but each year we found ourselves looking for new places because for one reason or another, one or more of the seven of us knew of a better place or didn’t like something about the places we tried. Well, this all stopped about 10 years ago when we discovered Luigi’s. We unanimously love it there and have been going back annually ever since. We went last Sunday and had a great time. For the table we started with Salumi Antipasto, Colossal Meatball, and baked clams. I love their baked clams as they come in a delicious lemony garlic sauce. We usually get their calamari which is crisp and not greasy but I think my friend who did the ordering must have forgotten about them this year. ☹️. I was all set to order the Penne Toscano until I heard the specials and wound up ordering a scrumptious broiled scallops with wild mushroom Parmesan Risotto. I was torn between that and the parpadelle with artichokes, sundried tomatoes, shrimp and lobster that a few of my friends got and loved. My husband got a special with steak and was still talking about it the next day. Another friend gets the same thing every year and looks forward to it—the Parpadelle Short Rib Ragu. Each year when we start making plans and setting a date, we throw it out there if anyone wants to try someplace else, but the answer is always the same...."Why would we?"
Luigis is a favorite. We always know the food will be great. This was an extremely busy Friday night over the holidays so it was quite crowded and super noisy. Even so, the waiter was attentive and they stayed organized. Great job, Luigis.
Pounded veal chop best i ever ate
Good ambiance. Good food. Great server. Meters parking or Valet.
This was an excellent restaurant. The waiter was excellent at explaining every dish. We ordered the burrata appetizer special which was more than enough to share. We both got the short rib over freshly made pasta which was amazing and we shared bombolini which were custard filled warm donuts with a Nutella sauce to dip into. My only minor complaint was the noise level. However, we were able to hear each other ok. Will definitely be going back. I suggest you use Open Table to make a reservation it’s well worth it.
Terrific homemade pasta served in generous portions at reasonable prices. The holy grail of Italian food.
Great service - fast, warm and friendly. Food was wonderful, as usual. And valet was a great addition on a frigid day! Pricey, but you know this before going.... It’s a special occasion restaurant, not everyday dining. And we’ll keep coming back for special occasions!
The food was fantastic but the menu is too limited even with the specials.
