Excellent entertainment with a tasty evening meal. Always enjoy area in patio room. It offers a cozy, comforting dining delight.
A group of friends meet once a month and we have found that Luigi’s fits our needs perfectly. Some just want a glass of wine, some want a salad and some want an appetizer. We come before 7pm so it is quiet enough to talk before the music starts. Madison did a good job for us this week.
Had high school graduation lunch and everything was superb!!!!
Expensive for what it is. They need to add wines in the $7-8 range that are good. Pizzas are good and good value. We used to eat here all the time, but has gotten too expensive.
College Station Texas is a long way from Milan or Tuscany or Rome and is far better known for Q and beer than Bolognese and Chianti, but Luigi's does a credible job on most of the Italian classics. We had 7 for dinner (including one native Italian), and started out with the excellent Antipasti Assortiti. Entrees ordered included everything from Spaghetti alla Napoletana con Polpette (Spaghetti and meatballs) to Scaloppini di Vitello al Marsala and Costolette di Agnello, and all our diners were pleased with their choices. For desert, we sampled the Tiramisu, which had perfect texture but perhaps a little heavy on the cinnamon. The wine list was limited, but had adequate choices at (compared to larger cities) excellent prices.
We were celebrating our daughter's graduation from Texas A&M Medical School, and the restaurant offered a perfect atmosphere for our party. Located in an innocuous strip mall, the interior is nicely furnished, and an excellent live quartet played dinner music at just the right volume to allow conversation.
All in all, a surprisingly good dinner in a small Texas town. I would recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in the Bryan/College Station area.
Very disappointed. I took my mom for Mother's day dinner. We were seated on time per our reservation. We waited over one hour before we were served due to a "mix-up in the kitchen." The menu was reduced due to college graduation (I understand) yet they still ran out of one menu item, 4 hours before closing. The menu was titled "Congratulations graduates" with zero acknowledgement of Mother's day. Yes, they fell on the sane day, but there should have been some attention paid to it. Our food was good except my pork chops were very dry. I doubt that I will be returning. A shame, really because the ambiance is great and the food used to be tasty. :(
Live music was too loud as usual. We couldn’t hear each other. There was a limited menu due to Mother’s Day, so we didn’t get what we went there for. Wish the server was better informed on the menu/wine pairings.
Always a bummer on A&M Graduation weekend that the menu is limited and many of the things that are Luigi specialties, like lasagna, are not on the menu. Kinda makes you feel like they are only leaving the pricier options on the menu...
When it's not graduation weekend - one of my favorite places!
We love dining at Luigi's. The relaxed atmosphere is inviting, the live music is great, it is quiet enough so you can visit, the service has always been great, we love the food and were given the location that we like. It feels like being at an outdoor cafe in Europe. Great experience in all ways!
Food was mostly good. Our group of 8 enjoyed the entrees. The appetizer not so great. Service was ok....had to ask our waitress to keeping bringing things such as silverware, water and bread from time to time.
Party of 8. They need to shade the entry door because the setting sun was blinding
We were a party of 10. Three of our guests pasta order had no chicken in it as it was supposed to. It was brought to the attention of the server, so he brought them cut up plain chicken. This was very unprofessional. The orders should have been taken back and the chicken should have been mixed in properly with the pasta and sauce. The plates were too loaded with the pasta to do this at the table. It was a busy night but still, proper service should not suffer.
I came here after graduation. I was excited to come bc I heard good things about it. The appetizers came out fast, but food took forever & my mom’s food was cold & mine was only warmish. We had no idea where the server was pretty much the whole night.
Graduation dinner. Loved the ambiance and the food was delicious
Place is nice, food was wonderful, service outstanding, music WAY too loud.
Great find in College Station! Live jazz band was fantastic.
Food was average. Wait staff pleasant and above average in service. Need one or two more beef entrees such as veal Marsala and veal Parmesan. Value was quite nice. Minestrone was below average; needs more chicken and a little more spice. Marinara sauce needs more body.
We knew it was going to be crazy crowded b/c of multiple TAMU activities and were willing to risk it as our Grandkids we're visiting and it's their fave place to eat.
Food was delicious as always and service was good but just a tad slow due the crowd.
Only issue was they had a modified/ condensed menu due to a “special weekend”. We were told that notice was on their Facebook page, but would have been nice to know from Open Table.
Good food and service. Enjoyed our meal.
It was a date night with my husband. Very accomodating.. In the past have done couple of date nights at this place. Love the pasta they make for us looking into our dietary restrictions of lacto vegetarian
Food is great. Service was not good.
The pianist was too loud and then conversation at the table was impossible if people where not speaking loudly. Which everyone started to do making it even louder in the restaurant. My next booking will try to be at a time when there is not a musician or request to be seated at the furthest table away from the musician. It was unfortunate because the food was very good and our server was attentive and informative. Once the music started we hurried to finish and depart.
We celebrated our daughter 22nd birthday and it was perfect! We made reservations for 6pm on Saturday night. Great atmosphere and loved the soft jazz music.
Lovely atmosphere however the food was terrible. Arrived at the table cold and tasteless. Not going back.
Very enjoyable experience with good food and friends and good wine also.
Excellent! Service was fantastic. Sat at a great table. Enjoyed every moment.
After our table fiasco of a few months back, we decided to give Luigi’s another try. This has been our “go to” Italian spot for years. And the food did not disappoint. One word of caution: if they’re busy, and there are only two of you, you will be sitting extremely close to other diners. You could share a table close. But if you’re OK with that, the food, music, wine and drink menu, makes it the perfect date place in BCS.
Enjoyed dinner here on an out of town trip recently. The food was good and atmosphere was nice. Piano music was an added bonus.
Our food was excellent. We will be going back with more friends.
Great restaurant! Live music excellent food! Definitely recommend!
Enjoyed my time there. Overall good experience and entertaining.
First time here and LOVED IT. We stumbled on to their 1st Sunday in the month JAZZ night which added to the overall awesome experience. We will return. If you like eggplant parmigiana, you have to try Luigi's. They have it with chicken too.
Food was just above average. Service was average, but a 20% gratuity was included for our party of 6. Waiter was very friendly, just not attentive. The service reflected the fact that gratuity was already included.
I will return since it is in the neighborhood and it has great ambiance. Maybe next time the food and service will improve.
Always great jazz entertainment whenever we’ve eaten here. Cozy atmosphere and textbook Italian food. We love it!
I should begin by mentioning that this was my first time to eat at this establishment. Just OK for me. I can get OK Italian food at Olive Garden, which is not what I was hoping for here. There was nothing spectacular about our meals. We each ordered a salad rather than a hot appetizer. The salad was good but it was enormous. It was more the size of an entree than an appetizer. Seating is EXTREMELY close together unless you are seated in the center of the restaurant. I could have easily reached over and taken the salt off the couple next to us’ table. You can’t really talk to one another for having to drown out the conversations happening on either side of you. I will take the responsibility for not calling in to make our reservation so that i could let someone know I was celebrating a wedding anniversary. It’s definitely worth checking out, but it just isn’t for us. I tell my employees all the time to treat every customer as if they have never been with us before and to make sure they leave knowing they got our very best.
This was our first visit and we loved the food and the atmosphere. Service was excellant as well.
Very expensive food was good but not worth the price. There was a large group sitting next to us and was very loud. I had to almost yell to be heard by my date. Service was great, server was very attentive. Interior was beautiful with decent live music
My husband and I love sneaking away to Luigis for a date night, however on this occasion, we were celebrating two birthdays. We had a wonderful time! Luigis is such a special place to go. The food is delicious and the wait staff is always friendly. I love the atmosphere, too.
