Our server was basically serving the entire main restaurant. Even so, she was attentive and timely in her service of our table. She made it look effortless. Brava! I wanted to lead off with accolades to her because she helped us enjoy the ambiance and the food so much!
Have been here many times, first time in there new location. Overall fantastic! The noise level is much lower in the new location, and the food is still fantastic.
I was very excited for this reservation but left a little underwhelmed. The food was good but lacked a wow factor. The wine list, while interesting, didn't deliver a hit of the 6 red wines we tried. We asked our server and a chef about an ingredient in one of the dishes and neither had an answer - pretty sure it was some sort of radish. This feels really picky but I was blasted with air from an air conditioner throughout dinner - so while nice and cool I was a bit wind blown. We enjoyed our time and would certainly go back but would like to see this upscale restaurant up their attention to detail.
Thank you so much for your review. I'm sorry that you weren't completely satisfied. It does sound like quite a bit was missing from your experience. I'm glad to hear you say that you'll give us another chance. We look forward to the opportunity to redeem ourselves to you.
Great experience for our first time in OKC.
We dined for our anniversary and the food was exceptional, but the service was even better. We asked for bones to be packed for our dogs, which was done with no questions asked. They took a while to get the bone marrow dish out, and in the meantime gave us an order of foie gras on the house. They didn’t even charge us for the bone marrow. Everything was beyond our expectations. We can’t wait to be back.
One of my favorite places to eat. I highly recommend to eat at the counter top to watch the food being cooked and prepped.
Especially loved the Venison and the dessert that night with the paired wines. Will for sure be coming back in the future.
We went here for our anniversary based on the fact that it is a 'farm to table' restaurant and it had raving reviews. We quickly learned that it's not our kind of place. It was too noisy and didn't have a warm, intimate vibe like we were hoping. I tried the bone marrow. It was interesting but most unappealing to my spouse. We both had the King Salmon with vegetables which was incredibly good and very flavorful. For dessert, the only offerings were ice-cream related, which isn't much of a selection if you are lactose intolerant. Our waiter, Logan was excellent and most gracious. He promptly provided a watermelon/spearmint sorbet. While it sounds good, it really wasn't. Grateful for the substitute offering, it just wasn't for us. Depending upon if you like 'exotic' 'farm to table' options this might be for you. Sadly, we wish we had spent our anniversary elsewhere.
this was a bad day for ludivine, but even considering being short staffed, this was a pretty poor dining experience. the server assigned to our table was VERY unknowledgeable. he didnt seem to try with us at all. i have never loved the selection here, as i eat primarily vegan, but i have never had poor service until this visit. i thought ludivine prided themselves on their service. perhaps this particular server isn't cut out for it, or maybe the new location has them going down hill... not sure, but im in no rush to go back! one food item was undercooked, which he offered to remake (it never came), other things were forgotten so the whole meal was cold by the time we could eat it. drink orders were forgotten more than once. the food that was to be remade was never even started, i suspect because he forgot to tell the kitchen. we didnt pay for the forgotten item, but that is the only redeeming quality about this experience. not enough to get us back any time soon.
I had always wanted to try Ludivine, but I was wildly disappointed in my first visit. The wait staff seemed to be confused. I watched our food sit under the warmer for a long while. It took forever to get the mimosa I ordered and everything was just very off. When they finally went to deliver our food they took it to a wrong table first (at the time there were only three tables of diners). It was just a let down. The food itself was ok, but nothing amazing. I hope I just hit a really strange day because I’ve always heard great things.
Classy, simple, perfect. Ideal for a date. Very hygge.
Everything was so good! I had the salmon and a salad and my friend got the pork and a salad! Can’t wait to go back!!
This was our first visit to the new location. Ludivine's Old Fashioned continues to serve as the benchmark against which I measure all Old Fashioneds. The roasted bone marrow appetizer was fantastic, wait staff was attentive but not over-bearing. Atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. We will continue to frequent Ludivine and their bar.
Fantastic restaurant, great food, excellent service, but you will pay for it!
When the Wagyu is served up tougher than cowhide and the duck is so rare you can barely chew it you’re better off spending this kind of money elsewhere. So beautiful inside. Such great service. Such a HUGE disappointment once the food arrived.
Nice place to dine. The music was great, food was great, and the service was outstanding.
I enjoyed the new location....very well done. Cocktails were very good as well as the food and service.
I've been here several times and the food is really unique and delicious. Honestly, this last time was the same as far as really good food, but the price point is getting a little out of control. My wife and I left a little bit hungry and a little annoyed. It's a great restaurant and I don't want to be too harsh as it could have just been the way the menu was structured that night, but my wife's $12 pre-dinner salad literally consisted of about five bites. She had the braised pork and I had the tri-tip steak. Both amazing in taste, just small. There are a lot of places in town to get a really good $50 steak and I think that is where the disappointment was. Look, I appreciate really high-quality food and do not think every meal is about getting full, but I was just left looking for more out of this meal. I'll probably come back sometime for drinks but plan on eating somewhere else.
I will pay a compliment to the host, Andy, he was great and much appreciated.
Hey Matt! Thanks so much for your comment. That's exactly the sort of comment that we find incredibly helpful. It is absolutely possible is that your portion sizes were less than what we intend. Chef Goforth will address this with the kitchen staff today, and we'll keep a closer eye on it. Let me know when you come back in, and we'd love to make it right. --Andy Bowen, General Manager
Great as always
Great, fun and unusual. Really a great experience.
Excellent service, food and hip surroundings.
I made a reservation for a last-minute brunch. I ordered a Bloody Mary and my wife and son had coffee. All were enjoyable. The coffee was robust. The Bloody Mary was well seasoned. My problem with it was that it took almost 15 minutes for the coffee arrive. The food arrived about 30 seconds later. I had to inquire about my beverage 2 more times before it was delivered. The food itself was great. My son and I had the Sopes with pulled pork, salsa verde and two sunny-side-up eggs. Very favorable. I thought a little more salsa verde would have improved the dish. My wife really enjoyed the Avacado Toast with Bacon and Tomato.
I returned Monday and sat at the counter. Again, the service from the waitress was lacking. But, the kitchen staff took great care of me. I had the Wagyu Burger with Truffle Fries. It was a great burger with grilled onions and topped with a fried tamale. The kitchen staff let me try the truffle fries and I was very satisfied as the Truffle was not overwhelming. Bottom line, the FOOD was great, but the service needs a little improvement.
We did the Chef’s Tasting Menu. Food was amazing. No complaints here.
Incredible service...great food as usual! Love Ludivine!
Highly recommend for visitors looking for something local or residents looking for something new. Fantastic in every way!
Sat at the bar. Bartender was very good. Pork belly was delicious. Only problem with the place is it seemed out of control. Never did find a hostess station so sat myself. The place delivered on food and service but as far as ambiance....its just a place, nothing special. For the price, I would expect more, especially with the amazing restaurant competition on OKC.
Hi Enrique! Thanks so much for your review! I think it's possible you didn't find the dining room. It happens a lot. On a Saturday night there are two hosts on staff, but they only seat the dining room. The bar is open seating. We look forward to seeing you again, and hopefully showing you the rest of the restaurant!
The service was poor. The waitress tried to talk me out of the bone marrow appetizer because it took 20 minutes to prepare. She put Zinfandel in the same glass that had had Pinot noir in it. She tried to remind plate before my wife was half done.
The vegetarian pasta was bland. My wife was not impressed with her brisket.
The room was also noisy.
We were pretty excited for this one, the concept of a constantly changing menu based on local market availability is awesome... unfortunately it doesn't hold up.
The starters were hit and miss. The foie gras on toasted pound cake with strawberry compote was a miss. It happens sometimes. The greens salad was great.
The wife got a steak that was a little over charred on the outside but perfect inside and super tasty. The mushrooms with it though we were crazy chewy.
The son got Alaskan Lingcod. The fish was overcooked.
I had the pork belly pictured. It was also overcooked.
The donut dessert was good. Nothing fancy, but well made.
The mini peach cake wasn't so great. The peaches tasted like they were straight from a can.
For the three of us with one alcoholic drink, it was about $250 with tip (and the service was great), which just isn't worth it for overcooked main dishes, even if there was a great salad and a good dessert.
The menu was extremely limited, which I get - it's their thing. But the night we went, the options did not include a single thing I was interested in eating. We left after drinks.
I will start off by saying the food was great but our service was abysmal. We ultimately did get a manager involved who was incredibly kind and more than took care of us but by that point the “awkwardness” of our dinner kept us from loving the experience.
I absolutely loved this place. The decor was interesting and intimate. The service was prompt but never rushed. In fact, my dining companion and I remarked how the "liturgy" of the meal felt very French in its pacing; we felt welcome to savor the food and drinks slowly and to socialize in an unhurried way. The food itself was thoughtfully constructed and deliciously prepared. We ordered the bone marrow (plenty for two to share) as an appetizer which was fantastic. It should also be noted the specialty summer cocktails are based on different artists, which we found to be a fun and creative touch. We will be back!
Absolutely fabulous place - great service, inventive dishes and a comfortable, classy ambiance.
Excellent service and delicious brunch!
OMG!!!! This place was AWESOME. I been trying to get reservations at the new small plate restaurant, Nunsuch, but they have been book. So I tried this place. Me and my lady tried the chef's tasting menu, OMG!!! PERFECTÓ!!
An amazing experience! The chef’s bar is the best entertainment! They are awesome to watch! I had the halibut and my husband had the pork belly. We have had the tasting menu before which was awesome!
My favorite OKC spot! Always fresh, innovative and delicious.
Had brunch and it was excellent, waffles, pork verdes, and avocado toast all very good. Upscale adult restaurant with fresh mimosas.
Seated in the corner next to hostess stand so really didn't get a good vibe for the new setting. The three of us ordered the tasting menu. Salmon tartare was half diced onions, not tasty at all. The razor neck clams were chewier then normal and unremarkable. The bread was hard and inedible. We did like the venison and wine pairings. Tiramisu was the only item we found delicious.
This not just my favorite restaurant in OKC, it’s my favorite place. The atmosphere is great, all of the staff is outstanding, and the food is wonderful. Can recommend it enough.
