Lucy & the Wolf
The restaurant's interior is completely refurbished, with reclaimed wood and brick walls and a wrap-around zinc bar. And while the simple and sleek look is a draw, it's all about the food.
The food and drinks have an old world charm with a new world twist. There is a definite Spanish flair to many of the dishes.
The intimate 60-seat restaurant is ideal for casual dining and drinks, where plates can be shared and friends found at the bar. From aged classic cocktails to a grilled fruit sangria, as well as craft beer and a well-chosen wine list-it's a well thought out and carefully orchestrated bar.
Never disappointed! Great service, food and atmosphere!
Love it! Great food - get the hamburgers!!! The real standout was our server. She was phenomena!!!!
Love the vibe and feel of this place! It’s very lively and energetic and the service was warm and welcoming. Lots of fun! There were hits and misses with the food, but overall the experience was great. We will definitely be back!
We had a delightful meal; our server was helpful with selections. My only complaint was the noise level. We were sitting near the front and the Michigan State football game was on tv in the bar. If we wanted a sports bar experience, we would have gone to a sports bar. I have been to this restaurant before and enjoyed it but will choose a non-sports evening the next time.
Excellent service(Carley and Jack), excellent food-as usual.
We wanted to try something new with friends and love small plates. Service was good, food was tasty as far as everything being cooked with a smoky grilled taste, but the food was way overpriced. We were to,d to get 4-6 plated for 2 people and we got 6. The food was served with 1-2 plates at a time but then a 20 min break in between so we were full by the time the last 2 came. Also the potato dish was $12?, but it was just small potatoes cut up with some sauce on the bottom. The sliders were good, it it was just a basic slider with some bacon relish on it $13. Our bill with 2 drink was $92 without tip. Glad we tried it, it we wouldn’t return for dinner for that reason.
We are visiting from out of town and this was our first time dining here. The food was absolutely amazing and our server Ashley was just awesome! Great experience.
We had a great experience at Lucy and the Wolf! We ate outside, had plenty of vegetarian options to choose from, and the on-tap hard cherry cider was delicious!
Well. First let me tell you that when I go out, I do NOT expect to have to wash a clean pair of jeans. I do NOT expect to have to dryclean a brand new cute top. I do NOT expect my BRA to need washing because it smells from sitting in a restaurant for 2 hours!!! Amiright, ladies???
When we got seated in the back of the restaurant, right in front of the open kitchen, I just knew it. But there were no other 2 tops available. And of course, you never know how bad you smell until you get home. You guys need a better ventilation system.
Food? Probably a solid B. I will def not make a special trip to come back here. All the dishes we had were good, but each one was lacking that *something* to take it over the top.
Tomatoes in cast iron - although the cheese was well-done and crispy edges were stuck to the sides of the skillet, the tomatoes needed to be stewed more. They lacked flavor. And the sunny egg came not runny at all.
Goat cheese w street corn - needed more of the corn; it was a bit goat cheese heavy. And this dish came w a pile of crumbly tortilla chips, and not homemade ones.
Salad - nice salad but not worth $10.
Patatas bravas - these were not an authentic version of the traditional Spanish tapas. Good, but not crispy enough and no spice! Kind of had a fake, smoky flavor.
Flat iron steak - I had the special w a weird peach/pepper sauce. Everything just lacked flavor! Or salt??? The side was a farro/corn dish that was just blah.
Pork Belly - very lean and crispy, which my husband enjoyed, but said every bite needed the pickled onions that came w the dish. Rich dish that needed more acid.
And the donuts!!! I almost forgot. Inedible. First of all, these were not donuts; it was balls of fried dough and sooooo greasy.
Everything here seemed a couple dollars overpriced for what we were served. If each dish was elevated just a tad, the prices would have been justified.
"A" for our server Jake who did a great job.
Amazing food and great service !!!
Friends birthday. Very friendly and accommodating staff, great food to share and fun cocktails
Very good tapas style restaurant. Sliders and charred mushrooms were excellent
Four of us had lunch at an outside table to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The salads were especially good and the service was great. They gave us some doughnuts as a birthday dessert - delicious and very nice of them to think of this! Sitting outside was a treat on a sunny day especially since the restaurant is quite dark inside.
Great service and the food was delicious. Loved the variety of the menu and small plate options!
This was our second visit and it was as amazing as the first. We had the same Waitress and she remembered us and what we ordered. The food is fantastic and the mini donuts for dessert are the highlight. We will return for sure.
Very enjoyable evening and meal.
Food was good, not wonderful. Nice outdoor dining and good service
Cool interior, great cocktail menu, they’re very accommodating to food sensitivities. It did get noisy but it’s a busy place and it was a weekend night. The outside tables look like a nice option, especially later evening when the street traffic slows down.
Fantastic food, a little pricey but worth it. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Always the best
Such a fun experience! We tried a lot of different plates and our favorites were the Farro Quinoa and the Tomato skillet. Least favorite: Beer Cheese. The drinks were great too and I’d highly recommend the Cold Little Heart!
The food was delicious. The service was great. An excellent experience!
I brought out of town friends to this restaurant, it was my first time. We had a wonderful meal and wonderful experience. Our wait staff was personable and efficient keeping our plates coming, and enticed us into sharing delicious mini donuts at the conclusion of our meal. The small plates were filled with locally sourced top quality ingredients. Each plate was unique and delicious. We really enjoyed the tomatoes in cast iron, made with cheese curds. I will definitely be returning.
Food was very good. On the smaller side inside. Booths are reserved for parties of three or more. Seated at a table right next to another dinner party. Huge turn off. Ended up eating outside which was very nice. Food was good.
Ryan was our server and he was fantastic from beginning to end. The food was phenomenal as well as the ambience.
Small plates dining style. Recommended 4-6 plates for 2 people, at the price per plate...I would not recommend such. We ordered 3 plates for the 2 of us and left satisfied. Be careful on the green beans on the charcuterie board, they are topped with hot sauce! Good atmosphere and the staff were excellent...just not sure on the value for the food.
Just meeting up with a friend and trying something new near her house. The plates are all small plates, and they run specials everyday. The food was original and delicious. If i was on that side of town, I would go there again.
The Berkshire pork belly is a must!
Good food but very expensive food and drinks.
Creative dishes done well. Service was fantastic.
Our server Kyle was amazing, one of my guests is a very strict vegan and he helped her every step of her dining experience even down to which wine to choose. The food was delish and the drinks were awesome. I will be back again and I also loved the mini donuts too. But I cannot stress what a gem of a server you have in Kyle.
This was a new dining experience for us, as we have never been to a "sharables/small plates" restaurant. Our server was very patient with us and explained the menu very well. If you are seated towards the back of the room you will be very close to your neighbor. As for the food, every item on the Charcuterie plate was delicious. The Tacos (we had chicken and steak) were delicious. And the Trout was ok, it had a good melding of flavors, but just wasn't a standout and just a bit bland. Overall, we would definitely go back and try more of the many items on the eclectic menu.
The bartender at Lucy and the Wolf is an absolute peach. She creates all the drinks and is totally amazing. The food is always awesome. The service is spot on. I love this place!
Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent drinks. The trifecta of perfection. A true stand-out in Metro Detroit! You will not be disappointed.
Great food, great service, yummy cocktails!
My salad was bought to the table after the other three had finished their meals. I had to send it back after waiting 45 minutes for it. I had ordered it without almonds. After waiting that long, and being told that the chicken takes a long time to cook, it was prepared incorrectly. The others' dishes: steak, salmon and a different chicken salad were all great. Our waiter wasn't that good.
Amazing food and aged cocktails.
This is a nice find.
1) Service is friendly and knowledgeable about their offerings.
2) Food is hot, yummy and made with fresh ingredients.
3) Drinks are craft!
Make reservations to ensure you don’t have to wait an hour for a table.
