The music and volume perfect! Service was impeccable and food delicious!!
A restaurant I was waiting to go to for a while and I think it was worth the wait. I was there for Sunday supper and I got the wine pairing with it. The menu was priced very well along with the wines and the servers were attentive and but still very approachable and kind.
Everyone in our table enjoyed the food from appetizer to dessert, this was a Sunday Supper menu. The fresh fish was Merluccius / Hake was excellent. The gnocchi was delicious and flavorful, cooked just right. The soft lighting and quiet ambience was soothing. The sommelier was amazing, really impressive with his knowledge on the wine pairings.
The Sunday Supper is a great evening of delicious and freshly prepared food. The cod this weekend was tender and very tasty. The pairing to the meal are also a treat with wonderful comments from the wine steward which add greatly to the experience. As always the staff is attentive and helpful with great suggestions for meals.
Server Isabelle was wonderful.
Always amazing food, attentive waitpersonsz
Whenever we’re in LA for more than a few days we try to go to Lusques one of our favorites.
fFood perfect-- staff wonderful Everything perfect!! A lovely spot beautifully done
Sunday supper is always excellent.
Really good food and service, happen to pick it by accident, what a gem of a place. We will be back.
First of all we love this restaurant. Food and service are top notch. My only complaint is the time that they opened on a Friday night. We made a 6:00 pm early reservation because we had an 8:00 show to make. Our driver got us there 15 minutes prior and the doors were not open. The valet indicated that they don’t open until 6. We roamed around Melrose for a bit . Then came back at 6 , doors were still locked. Finally opened a few minutes later. Just won’t make a first time slot reservations again. Once we got in it was great as usual.
I have been to Lucques several times and each the time the food never disappoints! The service this visit was a little off but overall another great experience!
The food at Lucques is always delicious. Enjoyed my Heirloom Tomato Salad with Feta and Harissa and Slow-Roasted Salmon with Cucumber, Beet and Green Goddess Dressing. Looking forward to Rib Fest next month.
The food is just ok
The dessert which was a stone fruit cobbler had no fruit in it
Would not return
Still wonderful after all these years. Every time I have dinner at Lucques, I leave asking why I don't dine here more often. Everything is superb: Food, wine, service, setting. And always an eclectic mix of people.
Delicious meal - went for the Bastille Day Sunday Supper and had some beautiful plates (tomato tartine, steak tartare, strawberry and ricotta creme crepe.) Even the bread was terrific. I highly recommend the Sunday Supper nights. The bar manager is magical, and knows how to complement any dish -- or simply make a tasty cocktail.
We always celebrate Bastille Day. Sadly, we don’t always get to do it in France. But the dinner this evening was quintessentially French in spirit. We had, as we always do, an excellent experience. You don’t have to wait for a special occasion to enjoy yourself here. They will make whatever day it is a special occasion.
This meal was summer perfection. Every single morsel was perfectly prepared. And beautifully presented. There is a reason this restaurant has maintained its stature year after year.
Delicious food, great cocktails, and wonderful service!
Great food and service.
One of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles
I felt like I was on really good vacay!
We were there for my husband’s 70th birthday. He lived in Paris for a couple of years when in his 20’s. The first time we came to Lucques, he said it was the best gastronomical experience he had had in Los Angeles. Since then, we have celebrated many special occasions here, although generally for the Sunday suppers. Every course is a delightful experience. The service is always friendly and professional. The atmosphere is elegant and comfortable. We can rely on Lucques to deliver the most creative and delicious meal every time.
Still one of the best in the city!
In a city with many great restaurants, this is one of the best. The food is always excellent and the menu choice are revised and creative, giving you multiple opportunities for repeat visits without exhausting menu selections. The service is friendly and accommodating. The wine list is more than sufficient to pair wines with food choices. Prices are on the high side but well worth it. When weather is warm, sit on the patio. When winter arrives, sit near the fireplace.
We find the Sunday dinners at Lucques quite amazing. The food is very flavorful without overwhelming and the menu is put together with great attention to detail. The staff are very knowledgeable about the particular dishes being served and the wine pairings are unique. The sommelier is extremely friendly and has interesting tidbits of information for each wine which add great to dimension to the service.
Lucques is THE best restaurant in Los Angeles. Prove me wrong.
Everyone was very nice and the food was good. Thank you
Fried chicken event was subpar compared to what we are used to at this great establishment
We have dined at Lucques many, many times. The food is predictably, reliably delicious and inventive. The atmosphere, indoors and on the patio, is conducive to conversation, unlike so many restaurants in LA. If there's one thing I might quibble about on this most recent visit it was the service. Not the attentiveness but the level of familiarity with the food, wine and the high end dining experience, in general. I have been spoiled during my past visits by the wait staff who have been very familiar with each of the menu offerings and very willing to make helpful recommendations. Not so much on this past visit. The food was delivered politely, but there was none of the back and forth that has, in the past, enhanced our dining experience.
100% perfection as always. My idea of a perfect dining experience. Would not change a thing.
The fish was not fresh. The side of califlower had to flavor one of the worst meals we've had for the $$$$
Wonderful service matched with amazing food.
Only downside was the toddler in the adjacent booth, with the father mindlessly jostling his kid to elicit even more noise and squeals and squeaks. Very unthoughtful to others and should not be allowed in one of LAs top food destinations.
This was the second time I have been to this restaurant. The first time was for the Sunday Supper and the second time was in the main dining room. The service and food were impeccable each time. This is a classic style restaurant with an ever changing seasonal menu, served course by course and not the “small plate sharing” nonsense that characterizes so many of the newer “best” restaurants that are plaguing the current American dining scene. I would definitely go back given another opportunity.
Great food and atmosphere
Another memorable and delicious dinner at Lucques. Perfect combination of atmosphere, great food and drinks and yet not too formal or too casual. Used it for a business dinner and my client was so impressed and pleased!
Food was amazing as usual. Starts faith 5 cheese plate. She had the short ribs and I had the black cod and scallops. Finished with chocolate mess and 3 ice cream plate w short bread dessert. Everything was perfect. Was very pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Overall nice restaurant but if you are a tourist, don't take car with you, valet fee was about $20 or so.
Great meal, great service. A group of us went early and were able to talk AND hear each other!
The patio in the back was fairly noisy. We came for lunch and in the future, we would choose to dine in the main dining room
