Dos Pueblos Abalone
New York Strip Steak
We ate here twice during our stay in Santa Barbara. The abalone appetizer is beyond compare. Absolutely delicious. The Dungeness Crab cocktail is packed with crab meat and delicious.
We also enjoyed the escargot as well as the steak. I would highly recommend.
Accommodated a party of 8. Great experience.
They’ve gone down hill from years ago.
Service was extremely slow, drinks took 20 minutes and were watered down when they arrived, food took way too long...overall not a great experience.
Lucky's is always a favorite, but a recent Sunday brunch was not the best. Took forever to get our orders taken, and then there was a mix-up with our coffee orders. Ultimately our server was good enough to waive our beverage orders, and was very apologetic, which is all I could ask. But very unusual to see Lucky's struggle like this with its service.
Just make sure you don’t sit near the hostess stand people are hovering over your table not a very comfy spot to be in. Other than that the place and staff are AMAZING!!!
Fabulous brunch! Food was excellent and service was impeccable.
The setting was attractive/inviting and the server was pleasant and knowledgeable. However, the food was bland, lacked flavor, and there was a drunk woman seated behind our table that incessantly cackled loudly the entire time we were there.
Reservation and seating were on time. Service was prompt. Food was great.
Loved the Sand Dabs meal. Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly.
Not our first time at Lucky's, it will not be our last.
Thank you Lucky's for a great meal experience.
Excellent service and outstanding steaks, sides and drinks.
Outdoor dining was nice ( although unexpected.)
Surprised us with an anniversary dessert on the house.
We read about Lucky's in an article online about visiting Montecito and decided to give it a try to celebrate our birthdays. We've had the luck to travel internationally a fair amount and have been fortunate to eat at some fantastic restaurants in Europe with amazing service. Until we ate at Lucky's, we were always unfavorably comparing our European eating experiences with the ones we had here. No longer-Lucky's is an outstanding restaurant for special occasions. Service and food were excellent. Highly recommend for a tasty steak or mussels with a nice wine list.
Very very high priced for what you get! $25 Luckys salad had only 1 shrimp & was skimpy. We had a steak & it was just ok for $90 - nothing special at all. Tasted like it was cooked in the oven in my home - no real seasoning or great flavor & it was prime.
Delicious! Excellent martinis, wine, and food with exceptional service.
Caeser was an excellent waiter … the drinks were $$$$ but they don’t skimp on the alcohol - we were feeling very good halfway through … 😳 it was great - I had the hotdog lol - crazy right? But it was very good and their fries are delicious! They even brought my dog his own water bowl! Great lunch! Will be back! But dinner there I feel is a little more the vibe you think of when you think of dining at Luckys!
Food was delicious. Service was terrific. Waiter was friendly and offered suggestions. Restaurant and bar are cool steakhouse vibe and cool upside is beautiful. Top spot!
Vacation great recommendation from friends
Hospitality, cocktails, food and wine were all outstanding! Larry the Somm took great care of us.
We loved it. Our waiter was charming, helpful and attentive.
We also loved the glass of Prosecco that was complimentary.
The ambiance was first class and I think this is my favorite restaurant in Montecito/Santa Barbara.
Thank you for this excellent dining experience.
Went for the first time for a friend’s birthday. Literally the best steak I’ve ever had.
Great local for comfort food with excellent service.
Absolutely the finest steakhouse in Santa Barbara county .
Love this place. The staff and food is always top notch!
Feels like an old time steakhouse in atmosphere and menu, but with Montecito touches. We sat outside in the front and it was very pleasant. We had an abalone appetizer that was quite special, so hard to find now and the preparation was excellent. The matzoh ball soup was a surprise and satisfying. They offer various types of steak -- we had the Roumanian marinated and the ahi tuna, both nicely done. The steakhouse sides were tasty and properly made. The cocktails were generous and interesting. Our waiter knew the local wines and produced an excellent half bottle of a local Pinot Noir that worked well with both our mains. It's not the restaurant's fault if their clientele is becoming rather LA and looking for Meghan and Harry, the staff is friendly and professional. It's a first rate restaurant in what feels like a small (very wealthy) town!
Over priced. If you aren’t a rich montecitan then don’t expect any special treatment. Waitress had 4 tables and managed to forget our drink order, there were two of us btw. Asked to speak to maitre d’ and he was rude and pompous. Not worth the $$$. I won’t go back. And I’ll tell others not to waste their time. Honor Bar across the street (a hill stone restaurant) has their act together way more than Luckys and food is EXCELLENT. Drinks although highly priced were delicious. That’s it. And no toilet paper in bathroom. Gross
Lucky’s never disappoints!
Pretty poor food! $54 steak was tough, dry and flavorless. Baked potato was served room temperature. Only saving grace—interesting people watching.
Excellent food and service. The atmosphere was perfect and will definitely go back.
Amazing food and service as usual. First time I had their bbq ribs- they were amazing!! This restaurant is expensive but worth it!!
Wonderful food and perfect spot for a birthday lunch
Always a pleasure…truly.
$500 for dinner on the “Brooklyn Bridge”? No thanks. You’re better than this lucky’s. #20yrcitoresident
This restaurant was extremely disappointing and absolutely not worth the money. Service was awful and our server was completely aloof. We were seated behind a door and asked if it was possible to move to one of the several open tables. We were told it wasn’t possible, but none of the open tables were ever used during our meal. My husband ordered a very expensive steak and his a la carte side showed up 20 minutes after he got the steak. I ordered the vegetarian burger thinking it was a house made veggie burger, but it was made with impossible meat (I am allergic to one of the ingredients). I take full responsibility for not clarifying what was in the veggie burger, BUT the menu should have certainly specified that it was made using the impossible mixture. I’ve never been to a restaurant, let alone a fine dining restaurant, that does not specify when impossible meat is used in their food. Additionally, I later found out that the burger they served me was actually a beef burger. After all of this drama, our server did not apologize and simply took the plate away from me. We asked to speak to the manager, and he was also unapologetic. He kept assuring me that I did not actually eat meat (which was untrue) and didn’t ask about my allergic reaction to the impossible meat they claimed to have served me. The manager did take some items off the bill, but his attitude and lack of concern was extremely off putting. I would never eat at this restaurant again, there are so many higher quality steak houses with better service.
The service was great but our Prime (Bone in) Filet was not really all that tender and not cooked to our order. We ordered medium well and it came back blood rare. The prices are very high.
A man with a mask disclosed he was vaccinated and had no desire to do so! He should not be allowed to work at Lucky’s or anywhere! The facts are the facts.
Absolutely loved everything about it! Great service and food!!!
food was great service was excellent our server Karen knew her stuff.
Always a favorite, Lucky's always strikes just the right tone. The food was outstanding, and I love the ambiance of the outdoor seating area! Can't wait to go back!
Open Table made this a seamless process. Thank you for the excellent experience
Really nicely done patio. Great steak. And what a surprise, matzoh ball soup!!!
