Great steak at the bar. Bartenders excellent
Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in the Santa Barbara area!!!
Too expensive for normal food, dining area small or separate from bar area which makes it kind of dull!!
We celebrated our 25th anniversary here for a fabulous dinner!
A must. It’s the hub of Montecito. So cheerful and friendly. My idea of fine dining out. A great place to share with old friends or make new ones.
Meals (there were 4 in our party) were very good, three New York strips and a filet. The apple crunch desert with ice cream was so-so. Overall everything was great except for the noise level. All at our table had to speak very loudly to be heard, but I would have to put that on local patrons, not Lucky's. I would recommend Lucky's for special occasions.
The food was delicious; the service was excellent. Everything was delightful, as always.
Awesome food and service!
Absolutely terrible service. The 56$ dollar steak I orderd was cold in the middle. And in the middle of dinner the power went out. Absolutely ridiculous.
Always great. Great steak, best warm spinach salad ever. Pleasant and timely service. Favorite spot.
Always great. The most delicious meals we have when in Montecito. We always make sure to dine here for occasions and just because it’s that good.
Best dinner ever! Outstanding service and great food! We love this place! Luckys is rich with history too!
Lucky’s is expensive but the food , service and ambiance are worth it.
I was surprised how packed this place was for a Monday night. I’m guessing it’s a very popular place so maybe it was just an off-night for them. We were immediately greeted by a server asking our drink orders. All the servers were very good. When we placed our order, we made sure to let them know we were ordering the soufflé for dessert because we know it takes 20 minutes to prepare. Our salad came out, we shared the Lucky’s Salad. It was not worth the price, in my opinion. My husband ordered the sand dabs for his main meal and I ordered the filet Mignon. My steak was lukewarm and I asked my husband about his...the same. Even the side dishes were lukewarm. After we finished our meal, our server stated the soufflé still had “9 minutes to go”. That was fine, we ordered some coffee. About 20 minutes later, we were served the soufflé. Since this was our first experience at this restaurant and it was crowded, we just gave them the benefit of doubt. I even have a friend who told me it was her favorite place to go. So...maybe it was a fluke? We paid a lot of money for our dinner experience but just left feeling underwhelmed. Very disappointing.
Always enjoy our visit to Lucky's. Try to make a trip from Orange County at least once year. The food, service , atmosphere all top notch. Just wish it was closer to home.
Great for special occassions both real and made up ;) Best Steak I've ever had - Medium Rare from a Cow that died happy.
Always a favorite stop at Lucky’s. Amazing food, service and ambiance.
Great experience all around. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend.
Quintessential Montecito. Outstanding food. Expansive menu. Service always very attentive. Very friendly hostess and manager. First class all the way.
Good steak. Nice drinks.
Very good overall.
5 stars....perfect!!! Thank you. The dinner was excellent and the service was just grand!
Great stakes and service make for a magical night
We have been many times with family or a couple friends and Lucky's is always a good experience. This was a thirty person post wedding get together and everything was perfect.
Michelle was awesome. We enjoyed every second of our experience!
My wife and I were visiting the Santa Barbara area. We made a reservation after reading the reviews on various review sites. In my opinion, the entire dining experience was underwhelming.
The service was very good. The waiter we had was very nice and on the ball as were the busboys assisting him. The drinks were excellent, properly made and potent. The bread was also very good.
The food is another story. I had the iceberg wedge. The portion was small and consumed in about three bites. The dressing was watery and contained very little Roquefort cheese. My wife had the onion soup which we both thought was bland and on the watery side.
For the entree, I had the Romanian Steak. The portion was small, consisting of 5 thin slices of meat. The meat itself was tough and grisly. We ordered the creamed corn and onion rings for the sides. The creamed corn was good, a bit too sweet, but nevertheless good. The onion rings were a greasy cold mess, and we did not eat most of it.
arrived on time, seated immediately, friendly and helpful server ( Chelsea)........everything was above average ( including the bill) but in my opinion well worth the splurge...we were celebrating 2 family birthdays and everyone was totally satisfied with their food choice, service, seating and ambiance....hence the 5 stars......we will certainly return.....also served 2 complementary desserts for the birthday guests...nice and welcome touch
Loved it. Will definitely be back!
I had heard mixed reviews from locals but decided to go and see for myself. I thought the food and the service were excellent. It is pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. The wine list is extensive and we chose a lovely 1994 Pommerol which was fantastic!
Nice location and ambiance
Lucky's is consistently exceptional -- the best steakhouse in Montecito/Santa Barbara and better than any steakhouse in LA (only Peter Luger is better)!! Pricey but worth it; we'll be back often.
Beautiful place... lovely food... very nice service... a great place to dine with new friends!
Lucky' is the best!! Terrific food and the greatest server.....Karen!!!
The name suggests casual but it is fine dining. It was comfortable and cozy but the front porch was somewhat uninviting. Once inside it was very nice. Great sport and movie photos. I really liked the decor.
The bread basket had squaw rolls with raisins and other fresh breads, warmed. Taste great. I had the bone in pork chop, cooked perfectly. It came with a wine reduction. Unfortunately, the reduction needed to be reduced more. A little watery for a reduction, but still flavorful. My son had the open faced fillet m. sandwich with mushroom sauce and fries. He loved it. All the items were made with top quality cuts and produce. I really appreciate that. I will be back.
We ordered two steaks the first ordered medium rare plus the second was ordered medium rare. The medium rare steak was over cooked more like a medium and the medium rare plus was cooked more like a medium rare. These were two different steaks so it wasn’t a case of switching the plates. I would have sent it back but wanted to eat together. The side dishes were really good, just wish the steak was cooked as ordered. Other than that the place definitely feels like steak house. Waiter / service was great.
As usual a wonderful meal and ambiance. And as usual, while dining we forgot it was costing us an arm and a leg - which made us enjoy it even more!
As a meat Lover, I was excited to dine at Lucky's. I had been told that this was the best steakhouse in Montecito. Upon arriving I was presented with the specials menu. I am a big fan of Osso Bucco and when I saw it on the specials I did not hesitate to order it. I can honestly say that this is the worst tasting, fairly undercooked Osso Bucco. It was flavorless and not tender as it should be. My best friend also ordered and felt the same way. Unfortunately, the Basil mashed potatoes that came with it did not make the dish better. The rest of my party had steak and after sampling what they were eating, I was even more regretful about having ordered the Osso Bucco. The service and ambiance were excellent. Just don't order the Osso Bucco at this restaurant. I've had Osso Bucco at Mexican food restaurants that have tasted better than this.
