We did the prix fix menu and it was outstanding. You sure do get a lot of amazing food and it’s absolutely an amazing deal. The cocktails are always amazing as well as the service!

The food and service at Lucky is always exceptional. I love the fact that some of the menu items will change depending on the season and what local foods are available. Last night I had the sweet potatoes with kimchi aioli. . My wife and I both thought it was one of the best dishes we have ever had. Also the bourbon chocolate ice cream was fantastic!

The food and service were great. The drinks were tasty as well. My only complaint was the bread isn't worth the price. They were delicious, with out a doubt, but way over priced. And the chicken was good, but nothing special. But every other dish was amazing (you gotta try the meatloaf and the veggie chili) I also liked the local sourced foods. And the server makes the bitters for the drinks, which I thought was cool. I'll definitely be back, and look forward to the new menu items.

As regulars at Lucky's we always enjoy sitting at the bar. We get to watch a variety of cocktails being made while having our questions answered by a smiling, courteous bartender. On our last visit both Kent and Taylor were behind the bar like the "old days" before COVID. The menu is also closer to the "old days" and we enjoyed the fried chicken as always. Lucky's is a great place to go for a fun night out with good food and a large variety of drinks.

My wife and I have lived in Roanoke for fifteen years, Lucky has been open for thirteen years. We have dined there for many occasions over the years and we love it. I’m in the food industry, have been over forty years and Lucky is at the top of our list of places to eat at in Roanoke.

It took 98 minutes for us to get our food, that was after we reminded our waitress twice and manager just said your food will be ready soon. The waitress did not even refill the water, no apologies for such a slow device.

We had not dined at Lucky for a couple of months. What a treat! We enjoyed the four course menu (we had some leftovers that came home with us). We especially appreciated the attention of the entire team at Lucky gave us. In addition to our serve, the bartender stopped by to check on our beverages and other servers provided additional assistance. A simply delightful evening. Thanks

Our server Monet was very pleasant, attentive and also knowledgeable about the items on the menu. Living in the Washington DC area, I get to eat a lot of great food. Lucky’s menu is not extensive but has a lot of different items to go with the craft cocktails they serve. The roasted bone marrow is excellent, the oysters are fresh, stewed Kale was delicious, trout cakes were okay (maybe serve smoked trout with some sort of cream sauce or smoke trout spread instead). I have eaten here 5-6 times in my travels and enjoyed it each time.

We had a wonderful meal celebrating my husband’s birthday! He LOVED the blueberry cocktail (we can’t remember what it was called), and our server comped one of his drinks as a birthday gift. She was so sweet. We will be back for sure!

Friendly and knowledgeable server! Kudos for the NA Bird’s cocktail! Smoked meat loaf was a delicious meld of flavors we could not stop eating. Hope to be back soon - you can’t go wrong at Lucky’s.

A Failed restaurant. Dinner last night was inedible. Sour Brussels sprouts too sour to eat. Marrow bone that was tasteless greasy and just awful. A dry, chewy pork chop. What happened? Lucky used to be great. The place was half empty on a Saturday night. We waited 1 1/2 hours for our entre. Bad chef and nobody watching the house.

We were at Lucky for their Tiki takeover special menu. The food was wonderful! My wife and I shared everything so we could try more. My favorite was the sweet and sour shrimp. The crab Rangoon was also marvelous. It was great (as Lucky always is)

Delightful ambiance, beautiful design, and exceptional service. Excellent if expensive cocktails. Our shrimp and grits, cheese plate, focaccia bread, summer salad were tasty and well presented. Truly disappointing meatloaf that was dry and had little flavor, green beans tasted canned, mashed potatoes good…..price for this dish should have warranted an above average taste, but fell well short.

Wife & I had our anniversary dinner here, everything was amazing. They called me to confirm reservation the day of, which was comforting. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted, seated & served. The menu was reviewed to us clearly by our professional & courteous server (sorry I cannot remember your name but you deserve kudos for an excellent job), I had questions on some of their offerings as I am not very well versed in this level of dining, he clearly explained everything not making me feel un-worthy of my experience. The timing of our courses, drinks, etc. was perfect, presentation & quality were phenomenal. Definitely recommend.

Phenomenal experience with great service and amazing food. The mixed drinks were delicious. The 4 course meal option provided some of the best food that I have had the pleasure of eating. The staff were extremely competent and knowledgeable about the menu and did not hesitate to answer any questions. We will be going back.

Monet did a fantastic job as our server. The trout was perfectly cooked and the fresh cucumber and tomato salad was a nice light accompaniment. As usual, the cocktails were interesting and exquisite. We look forward to our return in the near future

I am so absolutely happy that Lucky brought back their old menu. The food is phenomenal always, fried chicken and brussel sprouts and the drinks are amazing! I love that they change the drink and food menu up for the change in seasons. This is my our favorite restaurant in Roanoke. Quiet and cozy & great for date night!

This restaurant had such potential but it was a big let down. Our service was so incredibly slow. Other servers seemed more attentive and knowledgeable but ours, while nice, was lacking which impacted the entire experience. For an app and 2 entrees, we were there almost 2 hours and had to track down someone to get our bill. The food was meh at best and somewhat overpriced for what we received. The wine bottle was almost 4x the price from our grocery store (looked later). We were just visiting Roanoke, but if we ever return, I wouldn't go back to this restaurant.
