   The main courses (scallops and steak) were both cold and flavorless by the time they made it to the table. Complete lack of seasoning. French fries do not belong on an high end restaurants plate. Appetizers and wine pairing were delicious. Good service.

   The restaurant needs to bring back a real steak, not just flank steak. Also, get rid of those silly flower posters. You could upgrade ambiance with decent wall decor.

   Great food using locally sourced ingredients. Things I would never think of putting together in a dish that really work well! The signature cocktail I had was very good. We arrived right on time for my reservation and was seated right away. Our server was just attentive enough without hovering and the courses arrived at just the right times. Great experience

   Impeccable service. Tasteful and delicious offerings. There is something for everyone.Great wine choices or simply ask any of the bartenders for suggestions and they will not steer you wrong.

   Fabulous food and cocktails! We started with a happy hour cocktail and graduated to the full cocktail menu. We had the trout crostini, marrow bones and the brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious!

    This was our first time back to Lucky since COVID. The interior has been spruced up and looks great. It was a Tuesday night which may explain why there were so few customers. In the past (several years) the place was jumping. Perhaps because the prices have gotten higher and the food, while still good, has slipped a little?

    Second time coming, we loved everything about the first time where we had cocktails and small plates at the bar so this time was a reservation. Unfortunately we were not sat in the main dining room and the ambiance is completely different there and so we did not enjoy it as much. We were at a two top between two other two tops and it was noisy and we heard both conversations on either side of us and it was a small room amd sparse in decorum compared to the main room-the main room is fantastic and eclectic but not his one. Food and service was still very good but I will only go back if seated in main dining area or at the bar.

    Delicious, inventive food. Chris was our server, and he was a pro. We had mocktails that he had crafted, and they were superb. Highly recommend the scallops, fried chicken, and Brussels sprouts.

    Wow! On our visit last evening, I had a Bless Your Heart cocktail. It was so very delicious that I was able to enjoy a second. It had a bit of complexity with a balanced taste, topped the lavender on foam. Our food was terrific, also. We have old standards from their previous menu- marrow bones and fried chicken!     Spent some time in Roanoke working at Mill Mountain Theatre. A friend suggested that when my partner came to town, we should eat at lucky. Incredible food, great service, very relaxed ambience. Had a great dinner, and I’d happily go back.

    We have enjoyed lucky previously, but last night was very disappointing. The Brussel sprouts were incredibly oily and charred and the menu choices were bland and heavy. There was almost nothing fresh or lively on the menu and all the offerings were very mainstream. As my husband said - we may as well be at Denny’s. Considering it is meant to be a farm-to- table restaurant I saw very little farm, unless frozen fries are harvested from a local farmer.

    Lucky has rebounded spectacularly from COVID and a reimagining to achieve a level of quality reminiscent of pre-COVID levels. We were not the biggest fans of the new menu and were glad to see them return to their roots. All four of us were very happy with our meals

    Totally enjoyed our dinner at Lucky. The service was phenomenal and the ambiance was fantastic! One of my favorite places! The drinks and happy hour specials can’t be beat. The fried chicken my husband ordered was delicious!

    We had reservations for 7:15 pm on a Saturday. Around 6:00, we got a phone call that our table would be ready at 7:30. Not a problem at all. When we got there, the owner was hosting! Such a busy night, and he was doing what was needed. You don't see that kind of care very often. Hunter is amazing! We can't recommend Lucky enough, and we can't wait to go back.

    Lucky has become my fiance and I's favorite date spot... last night we were going to mix it up and try somewhere new but start off with some lucky cocktails because they are *the best* in Roanoke... we were having such a good time chatting and drinking and snacking that we decided just to stay and have our datenight there :)

    We had the Valentine’s prix frixe menu, the wine pairing, and “The Humble Pear” mocktail. Everything was delicious, perfectly cooked, and well plated. The service was wonderful and the inside of Lucky is beautiful! We left feeling impressed and inspired. This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back.
