   The dining experience was wonderful. The presentation and quality of the dinners was excellent. They worked hard on a busy night to provide food which met my dietary requirements. I will be back soon

   We have enjoyed lucky previously, but last night was very disappointing. The Brussel sprouts were incredibly oily and charred and the menu choices were bland and heavy. There was almost nothing fresh or lively on the menu and all the offerings were very mainstream. As my husband said - we may as well be at Denny’s. Considering it is meant to be a farm-to- table restaurant I saw very little farm, unless frozen fries are harvested from a local farmer.

   Lucky has rebounded spectacularly from COVID and a reimagining to achieve a level of quality reminiscent of pre-COVID levels. We were not the biggest fans of the new menu and were glad to see them return to their roots. All four of us were very happy with our meals

   The kitchen knocked it out of the park. The food presentation was great and flavors were impeccable. Absolutely will be returning. Please gas up those kitchen guys, they’re killin it.

   Totally enjoyed our dinner at Lucky. The service was phenomenal and the ambiance was fantastic! One of my favorite places! The drinks and happy hour specials can’t be beat. The fried chicken my husband ordered was delicious!

   We had reservations for 7:15 pm on a Saturday. Around 6:00, we got a phone call that our table would be ready at 7:30. Not a problem at all. When we got there, the owner was hosting! Such a busy night, and he was doing what was needed. You don't see that kind of care very often. Hunter is amazing! We can't recommend Lucky enough, and we can't wait to go back.

    Lucky has become my fiance and I's favorite date spot... last night we were going to mix it up and try somewhere new but start off with some lucky cocktails because they are *the best* in Roanoke... we were having such a good time chatting and drinking and snacking that we decided just to stay and have our datenight there :)

    We had the Valentine’s prix frixe menu, the wine pairing, and “The Humble Pear” mocktail. Everything was delicious, perfectly cooked, and well plated. The service was wonderful and the inside of Lucky is beautiful! We left feeling impressed and inspired. This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back.

    I'm very happy to see that the things that made Lucky what I loved, is back. I feel that their previous menu changes were most likely done well, but it was not my cup of tea. Having heard from friends that the old menu is being reinstated, I chose Restaurant Week to return. It was as good as I remember. I not only enjoyed the food, but the service was on point, as was the timing of food being brought to the table. Thank you, Taylor! The place was packed with people enjoying themselves, a good sign that they were as happy as I was. The staff was a well-oiled machine, from the host to the kitchen to the wait staff to the bartender to the bussers. I will return soon, and recommend Lucky to all.

    All of my favorites were back for restaurant week! Yada Yada was a pleasant surprise on the cocktail menu, fried chicken was excellent and so glad to see it back on the menu. Portion sizes were generous.

    I LOVED the menu choice that Lucky put out for Restaurant Week! It reminded me of old Lucky and I would love to see those menu choices as a permanent rotation.

    Had dinner with my best friend for my birthday. Food was amazing (we split two apps, two salads, two entrees, two drinks each, and a bday dessert.) The portions were perfect and the tequila drinks were incredible. Our server was so cute and friendly, we almost asked her to sit down with us we loved her so much. We felt like we were back in Asheville. I absolutely recommend lucky for a good drink, special occasion, or just to get a different experience in Roanoke.

    Cocktails were excellent. Music selection was very determential to our experience. Music was inappropriate to the dining experience that they are trying to present. Jazz or classy music would be more appropriate. Appeitizer selection was disappointing. Entrees were good but not spectacular. Plating was not visually appealing. Entrees served in a shallow which made the individual items mix together.Scallop dish had the scallops on one side of plate and remainder of plate was bare; mixed greens or a vegatable was needed to balance the plate. Service was good. Very attentative and accomodating. Since the menu changes often, I recommend that you review that evenings limited menu before you go. Baked oyster appeitizer...four...really? Pecan brittle dessert- WEAK. Bone marrow and peanut butter should never mix. Ice cream was a winner.

    We have been regular Lucky patrons for years. While we applauded their attempt at a new food concept, we are very glad to see items form their old menu back. Our only complaint is that our son's scallop dish only consisted of 5 scallops and nothing- vegetable or grain on the side! He was hungry when we got home

    They ruined it when they changed it. The food was good, but the crust on my fried chicken was burned. Really weird and unappetizing desserts, so we didn't get one. Service was VERY slow and it wasn't even busy.

    My wife and I went to celebrate our 38th anniversary. We had a wonderful evening. Our server, Ellen, was very attentive and friendly as was the entire staff. The food was fabulous as usual. My scallops were perfection as was my wife’s fried chicken! I really loved the Brussel sprouts for an appetizer and our mixed drinks were great. Big fan of the cube in Maker’s!

    Everything we had was excellent. Lucky always delivers on its mixed drinks - original and yummy! Our server was friendly and attentive. Portions are not particularly large given the price but this is pretty much on par with fine dining establishments. Love that it’s upscale but not too “fancy”. So glad they brought back entrees!

    My wife and I had dinner at Lucky last night. Our server Helen was fantastic and the food was very good. They have some unique dishes and the presentation was very nice. It's good to have a restaurant like this in Roanoke. I look forward to going back and trying other dishes. The scallops, steak, and small plate of wings were all very tasty.

    We live in Bedford, VA - a 35 minute drive each way. Lucky is the best restaurant in Roanoke, Bedford or Lynchburg - truly exceptional.

    Lucky has always been a fave, but this was our first visit since they closed and reopened. Atmosphere and service were great, but food was too expensive for what it was…flavorless and small portions. Hoping it was just an “off” night, but we won’t be hurrying back to try again. So sad!

    Excellent food, ambiance, and drinks at Lucky last night. Everything was fresh, creatively thought out, and delicious. My bill came on top of an old 45 record which was a really cool touch. I would certainly recommend Lucky to others visiting or living in Roanoke.

    What a find in downtown Roanoke. A fabulously upbeat crew in a very hip location that could very well be in Brooklyn. Love the small, creatively curated menu and flexibility with vegetarian option requests. Great wines, and delicious food. Will definitely head back to Lucky on our next trip.
