Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen - Greensboro
Excellent food well presented in a nice environment. Server was excellent attentive and pleasant not “hovering” but quite timely. I highly recommend Lucky 32.
We went for our anniversary dinner and were so excited for a fancy meal out but were pretty disappointed. I’ve been in the past to Lucky32 and have been pleased but not this time. Our waiter was wonderful but our food took over 30 minutes or more to come out. I had the spring chicken salad and my husband had the Suffolk chicken. His tasted fine but his fries were almost burnt. I asked for my chicken to be shredded (after asking for specifics on how the chicken would be on the salad). I thought it would be tender shredded chicken on a nice bed of greens with all the toppings mixed in but it was a tough grilled chicken breast (also almost burnt in my opinion) and it was served on WHOLE leaves of romaine. I spent about 5 minutes cutting up my salad and it just wasn’t tasty at all. I don’t normally complain about food and I didn’t say anything that night because our waiter was so sorry that our food had taken so long. I didn’t want to badger him. But I was very disappointed. Not that I expected ANYTHING like a discount, but he did say a discount would be reflected on our check - it wasn’t. AND we were charged an extra $5 for my chicken to be grilled. The dessert (hot fudge brownie with ice cream tasted egg-y as well. I don’t know, it was just a big disappointment. I’m sorry to complain so much! But Lucky32 is better than this! Something must’ve been going on that night because it’s not usually like this! It’s usually great!
I agreed to give them another try after being very disappointed 2 months ago...this time was excellent! The food was delicious and service was great. So glad I went back and will definitely go again and recommend to friends.
Fabulous eatery. The plates are Southern born and bring a grin to the waiting patrons. Thank you.
Great place to meet friends for lunch. Food is consistently good. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly.
Very authentic Southern cooking.
Best Shrimp and Grits I have ever had.
The music was much too loud to actually have a conversation.
We went for Mother's Day and it was a great experience. We made our reservation through OpenTable and the restaurant had our table waiting for us. The service was very prompt despite the crowds. Food was excellent.
The food was wonderful (reasonably priced) and the service was outstanding.
We went there this Sunday for Mother's day for brunch. This was first time we were having a brunch there. We had a very delightful experience. First of all the cornbread that was served with water, was extremely moist and delicious. Then their special I had was outstanding too, strawberry honey crepes. In all I totally enjoyed the brunch and our server was extremely attentive and courteous!!
Great food, excellent service, reasonable prices. We enjoyed everything.
Exceptional service and courteous staff. They accommodated our large party efficiently and the food was wonderful. Couldn't have asked for a better Mother's Day brunch.
Loved the atmosphere and our waitress was outstanding, however the food was very disappointing. The artichoke corn cakes were so heavily seasoned with creole it completely overpowered the dish. The cornbread that came on the side was hard and dry. The basil pesto trout was good, but the pinto beans and chow chow were not flavorful and the dish was just soggy, the chow chow had no crunch. I appreciate the use of locally sourced ingredients and plant based straws, bravo. However, maybe focus more on the presentation and seasoning of the entree items. On a more positive note...the artichoke dip appetizer was excellent and the salads were yummy, full of goodies.
Lucky 32 provided a fabulous early Mother's Day brunch for my aging Mom. She has relocated to the area during this year and this was her first visit. She was bowled over by the quality of the food and from a traditional Southern woman, that speaks volumes! This will not be her last!
I am from up north and was only here for the weekend so I looked around to find the perfect spot for the first night out in Greensboro and found this gem! I was very eager to sit outside because of the amazing pictures I saw online of the greenery. The outside did not let me down it had a touch of rustic with very comfortable chairs and table set up. We ordered the seasonal dips (which were delicious) and the voodoo pork belly bread. Thank goodness we didn’t order our entrees right away because the pork belly bread serving was huge ! We ended up only sharing an entree (catfish with grits) and they were nice enough to give us two plates so the sharing process was much easier (loved it). The food was very good and I was definitely happy to be able to get a bottle of local wine here too. I love getting a taste of locality when coming to any new towns and this definitely was a great place to have an opening to how they incorporate local farms, breweries, and wineries, which makes it more personal. The inside of this place was beautiful and staff was very welcoming. Already put the word out there to others that have not tried the place, because it is definitely a must!
We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary this past Friday. What better place than Lucky32! Beyond the corny cliche, the food was delicious and service was spot on. This was my wife’s first time here, but it won’t be our last.
Great food and environment. Everyone in my party was happy with the service and food. I was a little disappointed with the cornbread, it was a little dry. Other than that, everything else was fantastic. We will return with our next visit to Greensboro.
Lucky 32 is one of my favorites in Greensboro, NC. It is my go to for date nights and special occasions. They have a wide variety of food options and the black bean cakes are my absolutely favorite!
Great luncheon salads: generous portions, very fresh. Waitstaff was very attentive but did not rush us at all, and we stayed for 3 hours. Wonderful menu. Will definitely return.
Wonderful celebratory lunch. Great food and excellent service.
The food was amazing! Came from out of town for a work trip and wanted some southern style food. Lucky 32 did not disappoint! Wide variety of beer & wine. Great menu for everyone to find something. The staff was very friendly!
still my favorite GSO restaurant. great food, reasonable prices and excellent service
One of our favorites! We love the food, the atmosphere, the music, everything. We go about once a month.
Such a great atmosphere every time. Wonderful music selection, food is delicious, and the service is amazing. A perfect place for brunch or any meal, really. Calm but lively, if that makes sense. I do like that the tables are not right on top of each other and that you do feel you have some privacy. French toast, locavore's delight...everything is delicious!
Always love getting a meal at Lucky 32. The people are warm and inviting and the food incredible! The shrimp and grits is the best I've ever had!
Great service 👍 wait staff was friendly and attentive to us and wished my mom a happy birthday
The bourbon marinated steak was horrible. Cooked properly, but over marinated and flavor was bad. Just a plain ribeye would be recommended for menu. Salad was just OK, bread and desert were excellent and since we both had the Kentucky ribeye, we can't speak for the rest of the entree menu.
We made reservations for dinner and were sat right away. The food was exceptional and everyone with our party was pleased. Our server was so nice and helpful as well.
very good food. sound level great despite open kitchen. Our waitress was excellent.
The server didn't know it was the birthday of my wife's daughter, even though I specifically said so when making the reservations.
Food was very good, but the portions seem to have gotten a bit smaller. I usually get the catfish, and it seemed smaller to me. My wife's daughter had to send back the salmon for not being grilled as she requested.
It was great. WE love sitting outside. Its great for kids too. Service and food were great. Love their drink menu!!
We’ve been to Lucky 32 many times and they have remained consistently good over the years. Overall, everything was good. I only have two only minor complaints. First would be the unannounced substitution of Bibb lettuce for dandelion greens in my strawberry salad. I ordered “the strawberry salad” and was only aware of one offering and that was described as having dandelion greens. I didn’t think much of it at the time because I was hungry and distracted by the table conversation. Later, I realized that I never got dandelion; just Bibb lettuce that’s exactly like what’s sold at Harris Teeter. The second complaint would be the smaller serving of grits in my wife’s shrimp and grits. When compared to the previous 4-5 times, we could definitely tell it was a smaller amount that was actually nearly hidden by the shrimp, toppings and sauce. Other items like the pork belly, flash fried artichokes and pig bread were also really good. As I mentioned before ... overall? It was a good experience.
A little pricey for quantity....food was very good though...took a date for her birthday and I told the waiter after we received the check....he said if he had known it was a birthday we could have the dessert we ordered for free...ask if I wanted to take it off the check...I replied that was ok....kinda would have been nice when he brought my card back to have seen the piece of pie removed for our bill...not a complaint just sharing the little things that can make a difference...enjoyed our visit
We had the distinct pleasure of eating our 43rd Wedding Anniversary at Lucky 32 in Greensboro.
When the Manager found out she asked if we wanted table 43.
The staff was wonderful. They helped make the night great.
Our Server, Marissa was very helpful with suggestions.
Torrie, I think the Shift Manager(?), took time to talk to us.
Rose, the GM spoke with us for a few minutes.
All three were very engaging and should be commended on their customer service and people skills.
They made two old Navy Vets' Anniversary even more special.
Friendly service in the bar prior to seating. A little burp with the efficiency of the server, but that was quickly remedied. The food was excellent, and the total experience very positive.
The food was so amazing. Mouth-watering!
Outstanding as always. Excellent service, wonderful food. All the things that make for a very enjoyable time with friends and family.
All of our food was terrific. Our server indicated that the andouille sausage in my shrimp and grits was not spicy, but I believe she should have classified it as very mildly spicy. I did enjoy the dish even with the slightly spicy sausage.
I mistakenly assumed that because Lucky 32, Print Works Bistro and Green Valley Grill are all marketed together, that we would experience the same quality food at Lucky 32 as we have multiple times at Green Valley Grill. It was a complete disappointment. We ordered Long Island Teas. They were so bad they were sent back. Out of the 3 different dinner plates, only the salmon was flavorful (thank goodness for horseradish sauce) as well as being cooked perfectly.
The cheese tortellini with chicken was boring. The deviled eggs were a flavor disappointment. The bourbon ribeye was an impressive cut of meat. Thank goodness it was also cooked to desired doneness because we realized after it arrived that the server didn't even ask how we wanted it cooked. It had beautiful marbling, but there was no relief from the sweet flavor. A sprinkle of sea salt would have offset it much better. Frankly, the only thing that had a complex flavor was the creamy balsamic vinaigrette on the side salad. I even ordered dessert to try and salvage the double birthday dinner. (No one else was willing to risk it) I've never tasted bad buttermilk pie before this. The pie was separated between a bottom custard layer and a top something layer without flavor. The crust was tough. And the top was completely coated (not dusted or sprinkled) with nutmeg. I had one bite. Another in the group tried it to see if it was possibly as bad as my face said. Two votes for terrible.
Will. Not. Repeat.
