Lucille at Drury Lane
Fabian was a good server along with all of the others...keep up the good work!
Food is ok.....
I would only recommend Lucille at Drury Lane on a date that isn't busy on a holiday like Mother's Day, ETC. as it was really crowded and some health concerns when a spoon fell on the floor and a person put it back on the dish so others can use it to pick some food instead of giving it to a food service person.
The mother's day brunch had many great selections at the buffet. There were plenty of sweets. I was a little disappointed to find the pasta bar replaced by the waffle and donut one. Other than that though, everything was terrific.
So many, many choices! It was an admirable and successful undertaking to serve all the people on Mother's Day! A beautiful display of food and incredibly organized! We went to the Drake for Easter brunch and could not say the same...and that cost more money!
Best brunch ever, the seafood and desserts are phenomenal, the roasted meats delicious. They do an amazing job, it's our family favorite for brunch. There is everything you could hope for at a brunch and more. The attention to detail is exceptional! Thank you Drury Lane!
They seemed to be understaffed - took rather long to order. Chicken dinner was excessively large; pre show menu was not offered but was available when requested.
theater at drury lane and lunch at lucille is one of our favorite entertainment activities. it is always a pleasure to have a tasty lunch and then watch an enjoyable performance.
We used to go there all the time and stopped a few years ago. At the time we thought it had fallen off. Decided to try it again. In summary it’s the best brunch buffet in the area
Service was awesome, drinks always filled and plates cleared away quickly, buffet was delicious
One of the best Sunday Brunch
Have been here for brunch a few times already. Service has always been very good. Only real complaint is the stuffing at the carving area is very mushy and this last time you advertised a taco station but there were other offerings instead, was looking forward to tacos.
This is the best brunch in all of Chicago. Omelette station, crepe station. Prime rib and mashed potatoes are to die for. You name it they have it. Service is great they let you sit there for four hours straight. It’s nice because me and my friends like to go there and visit for a really long time. It’s a beautiful place and I think it’s remodeled. It might be pricey but it’s worth it. We go there a couple times a year. They are so attentive the staff without being intrusive. Love this place!
They have struggled for years. I keep giving them a try because it so convenient. However, they can’t do warm appetizers to save their souls. I was glad to see they had taken the baked Brie off the menu because I have sent that back on multiple occasions. It was never really baked, cold and congealed. So, we decided to try the dates… I should have sent them back as well. We each only had one. The bottom of the date was ice cold due to the cold plate and balsamic that it was sitting on. The top was at least somewhat warm. However the bacon appeared to of been cooked 2 days prior. It was dried out and very unappealing to the eye. Our entrées, the salmon and pasta of the day, we’re fair at best. The service was very disappointing. While telling us the specials of the day, the waitress actually turned her back to my dinner companion, and it took forever to get refills on the water and soft drinks. I had to ask other servers to assist. It really is too bad, the setting is lovely and you can’t beat the convenience if you’re a season ticket holder. Fortunately, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area!
Lucille is a great place to dine before seeing the shows at Drury Lane.
The food was wonderful and the wine list has some pleasant surprises.
The dessert choices are a great compliment for the food and wine pairings.
The ambiance allowed my spouse and I to have a much needed quiet dinner with time just for each other.
We had dinner there after seeing the play Matilda on Sunday. I had the slow roasted chicken It was delicious and a hearty portion which I shared with my husband. He had the scallops which were excellent also, but nothing cMe with them and he was hungry afterward, thus sharing my very large dinner with potatoes. Ambiance is always lovely and service was excellent!
Beautiful room. Server was very kind. Food was great other than the prime rib. Food was slow coming out so give yourself extra time if you are trying to make a show.
A wonderful holiday experience! Great food and atmosphere.
We went at Thanksgiving just last year and had a marvelous experience. Upon our return for Easter it was vastly different and very, very disappointing from just about every aspect - enough so that we would be hesitant to revisit for any occasion.
We went for Easter brunch. Was not impressed over priced for a holiday brunch did not have a very good selection mostly got by on cold crab legs and prime rib. The fruit section was small. Breakfast foods were average. The desert station was more then lacking in quality pastries mostly brought in small cakes had fresh donuts that took forever to get and ice cream was the best choices. Kids menu was probably the best choice. They didn’t have Bellini’s that were advertised They didn’t have an Easter egg hunt which they advertised. If they did none of the employees new about it. I’ve been to many holiday brunches in the area at similar pricing and enjoyed them more. But I’ve also had worse.
Dark rooms off the main floor, we don’t prefer... it’s a hit or miss on seating
But the food is tasty and the service varies... we go every holiday...
WE have never been disappointed at the brunch---excellent food and service.
I enjoyed the Christmas brunch more than the Easter brunch. The experience was okay but I would not return for an Easter holiday. Christmas possibly.
We went for Easter brunch. On the description it said that there would be crafting area for the kids and Easter egg hunt. when we got there there were no eggs nor a crafting area. the crafting area was considered a face paint.
I have gone to brunches at Drury Lane for many years, and was very disappointed in the food this year. One of my guests had never been here for brunch before and i talked up how wonderful it was to him, and then our experience was poor. Most items were "just okay", as i polled my guests. Desserts were bland and what i could have bought at the grocery store. Nothing was exceptionally tasty or inventive. For $60 a person, i expected better quality and taste. Service also was just okay and i had to ask several times for the staff to remove our plates. In fact they would come to fill our water, then just look at the used plates and continue on their way without picking anything up, until I asked them to take the plates.
Food was excellent as it usually is. I've been here many times. My server was horrible. He came to the table twice the whole time. Never filled our drinks, never asked if we'd like anything else(coffee), just wasn't real good. The worst thing was that we asked for a silverware set up and the guy interrogated us like we stole it. I really didn't appreciate that. For the money I spent there on Easter and in the past, I expect to be treated and served a little better. Maybe they had a bad day.
Great brunch! We will definitely come back, plenty of options and everything was good
We go here for Easter brunch every year. We've tried other local brunches and they are definitely lacking in comparison. Food is great, ambiance is lovely. We'll be back next year!
We love Drury lane, have been going for years. This past Easter brunch however was disappointing. The event discription listed a craft and an egg hunt. We did not see a craft and I suppose, the egg hunt was the scattered eggs near the Easter bunny, which were mostly empty. Plus it was hard to grab the eggs without stepping into someone else’s photo with the bunny. The price of the brunch is bumped due to these little extras but felt disappointed.
I didn’t mind paying $60 for Easter instead of the regular $40 because I saw on website that there would be Easter egg hunt and activities for children. I asked our server about the Easter egg hunt and she didn’t seem to know. She came back later when I was away from table and just told whoever was at table that egg hunt was all day by Easter bunny. I saw no egg hunt and no extra activities for kids. I took my grandson there as there were no other children at home to do Easter egg hunt with. That was my only disappointment which was big deal for me
The food was amazing as was the selection. This was my first time here and I'm sure I'll be back. I just can't think about it now because I'm still full.
We had a wonderful meal prior to attending the show. The ONLY downfall was that our server never came back to our table after we had finished eating. We were told the table was "ours" until the brunch was over, which we appreciated, but after 45 minutes we had to flag her down to get the check. Coffee and water refills stopped despite the fact others were still getting service all around us.
A group of us took a friend who is moving from Chicago to the Sunday brunch on Palm Sunday. It was more of a farewell event. This was my second time at Lucille's Sunday Brunch at Drury Lane in Oakbrook. We had a fantastic time. The food was excellent and there was a large selection of meal options. Well worth the money. The staff there is wonderful. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. I will definitely be coming back bringing more friends.
It was fine for convenience pre show. Our server was very nice, but seemed over worked and therefore slow. After dinner it took a long time before we were given dessert menus, and then even longer for her to be back with the desserts.
Delicious food! Food service was a little slow, but servers assistants/bussers always coming by with bread/water refills
Hope it was just a bad night for them but it’s was 15 minutes to be said hello too and 29 minutes from when we got our not great dinner til someone asked if we wanted dessert or check the show was due to start in 15 minutes at that time so no time for dessert even though we were starving after the dinner check arrived 4 minutes before showtime
All the tables around us were having the same issue
Out server Whitney was wonderful.
Great brunch for moms birthday!!
Our server was wonderful. Great experience as usual.
