Lucile's Ratings and Reviews
Another quick review - great spot for breakfast. Consistent on Eggs Benedict’s of all sorts, blueberry waffles and they are good with special requests - like requests for medium -well eggs and crispy hash brown. Oh, and scratch corned beef hash if you’re up to it.
We frequent Lucile’s and tonight was a bit off with the server and requested table area was not available with where I had asked for seating
Every time we had dirty dishes nothing was cleared by our server or helpers she had bringing our entrees in fact with hot plates being handed when salad plates were still sitting in front of us all even empty drink glasses we had to hand to server to remove from our table felt like we were disturbing the server when we did this
We visited the prior week and the service was wonderful as always has been
We thought the atmosphere was very unfriendly. Neither the hostess nor our server made us feel as though they were happy we were dining in this restaurant. The food was a disappointment. My daughter and I had the banana nut french toast which was burned on one side. No one ever came to the table to ask if we were satisfied with our meal. The women's bathroom was not clean. There was no soap available at the sink, so it made me question how the employees were able to wash their hands.
I know we will not be returning to Lucile's, nor will we be recommending it to any of our friends or family.
A great menu with plenty of options. Feels a bit nicer and upscale without being fancy or too upscale. Servers are interested to take care of you. We were there for brunch and the options were just right. It looks like lunch and dinner is even more worthwhile for a visit. We will be back. Glad we found this place.
We love Lucile's. I had the Salmon Oscar and sautéed vegetables and my date had the fried shrimp platter. The Salmon was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the julienned vegetables ( zucchini, yellow squash and carrots). His shrimp was crisp and came with three sauces. One was similar to what you would get with coconut fried shrimp, one was a tarter sauce and the other was ketchup. The food was outstanding! The service was prompt and our water was refilled without asking. Our waitress was all business and could have been a little friendlier but was very efficient.
Managers Adam and Tim were managing a busy night with a full complement of mostly experienced servers. Our table was ready when we checked in and Josh, our server was friendly, efficient, able and attentive without ever being intrusive. Our party of four each ordered something different and they all arrived at the same time, prepared to order. Overall a great night at one of our casual dining favorites!
We've eaten at Lucile's for years. Fabulous chicken salad salad keeps me coming back! (Even though it's not officially on the menu as a salad anymore, the staff is great at accommodating specific requests for the salad instead of a sandwich). Service was great. Loved their fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. Crab dishes are also very good.
What's left to say that hasn't been said already? Lucile's is a Fort Worth institution and well worth your visit. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere... It's all good. If you haven't been here then you're missing out. If this is your first visit then go with what they're known for. Start with one of their specialty Martinis or Margaritas. Then order the Chicken Fried Steak or the Lobster Roll. You won't be disappointed. If you've tried those before and you're ready to move on, order a Makers Mark Manhattan straight up. If it's a Friday or Saturday, order the Prime Rib dinner and then treat yourself to the Cherries Jubilee for dessert, if they are making them that night. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
We enjoyed our evening at Lucil's the food was great the waiter was wonderful. People all around appeared to be relaxed and comfortable with the food, service and atomosphere.
It apeared family friendly. I can see Lucil's being a good place for most any size family or group for a wonderful meal.
A long-standing popular neighbor standout on the "red brick" road. Went for their house favorite Chicken Fried Steak & Fries (its Texas size big) with the Ceasar Salad and my date had the Tenderloin Tips (tender and moist) and Mash w/ Grilled Veges. To top dinner off we got the Cherries Jubilee (made-to-order) but was dissapointed with the sauce which was sticky caramel and not the lighter texture sauce with essence of brandy and oranges.
Took our grandson and the family there for a graduation dinner. The food is always excellent from the reliable standbys to a little more adventurous fare. I never feel like we were "squeezed" in no matter the size of our party. You can have a conversation and be heard because they aren't blasting music and it has a nice quiet ambience. It's definitely our go to place for special occasions. Thank you to Lucile's for being a part of our special day.
We enjoy dining at Lucille's, however, this visit was very disappointing. We were celebrating Mother's Day with family. Our cheese grits were brought out long before our meal with spoons only and no plates. Not great for sharing with 7 people. Our food came out much later and only lukewarm. Our waitress was not attentive, as we needed refills for coffee and tea. She never welcomed us. Just did not seem interested or enjoyed her job. Very disappointed as we really enjoy dining here.
