Lucile's Ratings and Reviews
This has been a favorite for years. But we both agreed that the quality of food and service was stellar on this occasion. We shared the chowder, the lobster Alfredo, of course, their house salad, my absolute favorite. Then coffee and banana’s foster that they make right in front of you. Jeannie was our server and just perfect. It was a cozy date night. Lucile’s continues on the favorite list.
Great food at a decent price. Our party had the chicken fried steak (with regular fries and sweet potato fries), the classic lobster roll, the pork chops, and the angel hair pasta. Everyone enjoyed their food, bread and butter was great. Only minor complaint was that one of my coworkers went without a drink refill for awhile as the rest of us had either water or iced tea (which can be refilled with pitchers). Will eat there again provided the chance.
I have eaten at Lucile's many times and enjoyed each, the only problem I had with this visit was
I do not believe I have ever had a Chicken Fried Steak that I would consider spicy. Possibly the Chef was preparing food to his personal likes or dislikes. Not to my personal likes if you want a spicy CFS you can add hot sauce at the table.
I was last reservation on Christmas Eve, received call as reminder which was great. Had a nice drink and calimari. Salmon and angel hair pasta was perfect. Would not change anything. The girl that waited on us was great and had food and drinks out quickly. Being from Boston, I wanted to try Lobster Roll. I’ll be back for those.
So comfortable to eat there.
This was our first time to eat at Lucile's. Our experience was mixed. I had their lobster and it was very good although surprisingly it came with no sides at all. My wife chose the prime rib and it was underwhelming. It was cooked properly, but had little taste and hard to cut. Perhaps if a 'steak knife' had been available it might have been easier. She also had the lobster bisque soup and it was very good. We dined relatively early and few people were there, but the server was very good.
Another quick review - great spot for breakfast. Consistent on Eggs Benedict’s of all sorts, blueberry waffles and they are good with special requests - like requests for medium -well eggs and crispy hash brown. Oh, and scratch corned beef hash if you’re up to it.
We frequent Lucile’s and tonight was a bit off with the server and requested table area was not available with where I had asked for seating
Every time we had dirty dishes nothing was cleared by our server or helpers she had bringing our entrees in fact with hot plates being handed when salad plates were still sitting in front of us all even empty drink glasses we had to hand to server to remove from our table felt like we were disturbing the server when we did this
We visited the prior week and the service was wonderful as always has been
We thought the atmosphere was very unfriendly. Neither the hostess nor our server made us feel as though they were happy we were dining in this restaurant. The food was a disappointment. My daughter and I had the banana nut french toast which was burned on one side. No one ever came to the table to ask if we were satisfied with our meal. The women's bathroom was not clean. There was no soap available at the sink, so it made me question how the employees were able to wash their hands.
I know we will not be returning to Lucile's, nor will we be recommending it to any of our friends or family.
A great menu with plenty of options. Feels a bit nicer and upscale without being fancy or too upscale. Servers are interested to take care of you. We were there for brunch and the options were just right. It looks like lunch and dinner is even more worthwhile for a visit. We will be back. Glad we found this place.
We love Lucile's. I had the Salmon Oscar and sautéed vegetables and my date had the fried shrimp platter. The Salmon was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the julienned vegetables ( zucchini, yellow squash and carrots). His shrimp was crisp and came with three sauces. One was similar to what you would get with coconut fried shrimp, one was a tarter sauce and the other was ketchup. The food was outstanding! The service was prompt and our water was refilled without asking. Our waitress was all business and could have been a little friendlier but was very efficient.
Managers Adam and Tim were managing a busy night with a full complement of mostly experienced servers. Our table was ready when we checked in and Josh, our server was friendly, efficient, able and attentive without ever being intrusive. Our party of four each ordered something different and they all arrived at the same time, prepared to order. Overall a great night at one of our casual dining favorites!
