   It was our first time here. The place was crowded when we arrived. We were seated outside. Good thing the weather was nice. We were afraid we will be forgotten. The tables needed some wiping. Two tables still had dirty dishes on them and the floor had flown down napkins and to go boxes. Our server Olivia was great. She did not forget about us. The food came out fast enough and they were flavorful. We had the lobster roll, blackened red fish, lobster and scallop fettuccine, chicken fried steak, fried green tomatoes, and key lime pie. Over all, we can come back to this restaurant maybe on a less busy day. It was a 45 min. drive from us. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday.

   I have been to Lucille‘s many times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and today was the first time that we weren’t happy with our meal. They used to serve thick cut country bacon and two pieces of toast and the coffee was nice and hot. Today for some reason they served substandard bacon that was very fatty and thin and one small piece of toast. In addition, the coffee was cold and I had to ask for more. The cost of the meal has not changed but the food has.

   We ordered: a whole lobster, a 6/10, lobster pasta, a 4/10, and chicken fried steak, a 7/10, all in terms of deliciousness. Even the butter that comes with the bread in the beginning, both were a 4/10. Ambience and service is a 10/10. It’s a very clean restaurant too. My pasta was bland and tasteless. The parmesan bread didn’t taste good at all, so it was a 1/10. It was so disappointing because the presentation was lovely. This was our first time eating there. I’m sorry that I’m trying to keep it real.

   I had the blackened red fish. The sides were great. The fish was a little over salted like they used a blackened seasoning pre mix instead of creating their own.

   This was obviously a neighborhood local restaurant. It was very busy. Glad we had the reservation. Prices are more reasonable than places aiming at tourists, as in stockyards. At the same time it was not fancy. Food was quite good. Variety of choices. Would go again.

    Make Resurvations in advance, it is a busy place so well worth having a resurvation a head of time.
