Luciano's Ratings and Reviews
A long drive from Wayland but the food is always dependently good. Owner is always present and walks through the dining room shaking hands with everyone. The restaurant was full of Christmas parties so it was noisey. But the quality of the food, the service and the time from ordering to being served was excellent.
Although the establishment is older and perhaps in need of some updates you can't beat the quality of the food or the expertise of the wait staff. They all work together like a well oiled machine. The food is delicious and the generous portions are great for left overs. We tend to go here 1-2 times per year for birthday dinner celebrations making the moderate to high priced meals worth it.
Nothing like comfort food on a rainy Sunday. Luciano's does not disappoint. They
offer a great array of lunch specials at $15.95 a plate. My schrod was tender and tasty. My guest had the combo eggplant and Chicken parmigiana. Both excellent and included a very fresh house salad.
A couple of important things. We were seated promptly. The service is professional and concerned. Incredibly tasty bread as well. Too full too have dessert which I'm sure would have been great.
We were seated very close to the time of our reservation. Unfortunately, there were mishaps during our visit. The wrong appetizer came out, our server apologized, but delayed us eating. It took quite a while for items to be removed from the table, we even asked for it to be removed. We didn't end up eating until 9:30pm, which is an extremely long time from our reservation time. Very disappointing.
Food was excellent, however our waitress seemed too rushed. I was not pleased. It took too long to receive our drinks. And she got us mixed up with another table on drinks. I expected a nice leisurely dinner. It wasn't so.
The waitress in question was Jaime.
Next time I reserve, I will specifically ask for a different waiter/ waitress. It was unfortunately not my best experience.
Luciano's has been a wonderful restaurant since they opened in 1991. I have been there many times for special occasions, Birthday, Anniversary, new job, Couples night out, and also just for great meals with awesome service. I have never once been disappointed ! I had a wonderful dinner Saturday evening celebrating my grandson's new job. I absolutely love their filet !
This was my third visit. Looking forward to bringing other friends and family members. Menu is extensive and eclectic. Food is always prepared well and portions are large. Most folks leave with boxed leftovers. Our server, Jackie, was terrific, knowledgeable and helpful. Well worth the drive up from Providence.
To begin with we were not even acknowledged when we walked into the restaurant. It took a while for the hostess to notice us even though we had a reservation.
Once we got seated we were completely placed at a far tiny table in the corner with no ambience whatsoever. While there were many other tables available. When asked to replace the veggies with a substitute veggie the server said that they got strict orders not to have any substitutes put in on Saturday. We found that to be ludacris since I don’t think that if Tom Brady would be asking to substitute something they would respond the same way. Any request was denied. We had to get things off the menu exactly as is. For a restaurant that big and that busy we were very disappointed that they could not accommodate the people that made them famous and brought them business.
Will most likely not go there again and won’t recommend to anyone.
Reason I gave it three stars was the bread was amazing the salad dressing was delicious as well but the food was extremely mediocre and my salmon was swimming in liquid indicating that it was probably frozen prior.
We never got to eat at Lucianos. We had a 815 reservation but the restaurant was so backed up they did not have a table for us. By 830 we heard three seperate parties ask the hostess about the status of Thier 815 reservations. We decided to check in to see how long we would have to continue to wait and the hostess told us she didn't know. She just restated that they were backed up and she didn't know how long it would be. When pressed further and asked if she could atleast estimate the remaining wait time she said "no. I have no idea". At this point (15 minutes after our reservation) we decided since there were atleast 4 total parties waiting for 815 reservations and we could not even get an estimated wait time, that we did not want to continue to wait and we left. Very disappointing and very poorly handled.
I have been to Luciano's a few times over the past few years and have always had a great experience with great food. There is always a good crowd no matter what night of the week.. My most recent visit was October 25th. The food was awesome! Service was A+. We will return sooner rather than later.
What an awesome experience. Had a great waiter (Cameron), everyone was so friendly, manager was great with us, and food was phenomenal. It’s not close to us, but we’re definitely going to make it a point to go back every now and then. Totally worth the trip. Thanks for an awesome dinner, hope to see you guys soon.
Good service and excellent Italian food. I recommend getting there early and having crackers & cheese with a drink in the lounge. Nice way to relax before dinner.
Cannelloni with Bolognese sauce is my favorite. Fettuccine with clams is another go to. Gnocchi is fabulous as well. Pasta is homemade.
I now have a favorite place to eat just minutes from Foxboro, home of the New England Patriots. Bring your appetite and leave plenty of time so you can linger and enjoy. Meeting the owner and putting a face to the restaurant really made it special. Looking forward to my next meal there.
The food was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. Our waitress asked us at the beginning of the meal if we were there for a special occasion. We told her it was our first time at Luciano’s and we were celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary. At the end of the meal she brought us a piece of tiramisu with a lit candle. It made the night even more special.
