You can not go wrong at Luiciano's. From the time Luciano personally takes you to your table until you leave it is perfect and very reasonable. The bar is cozy and the dining room is perfect.
Visited Luciano's before a concert at Gilette Stadium. We were seated immediately. The waitress inquired if we were going to the concert and was was our expectation of time. Food and service were over the top. Will be back!
Our dining experience at Luciano's was outstanding! The food was great and the service was outstanding. An overall very pleasant experience on a hot July evening.
Luciano's OK---Waiters slightly odd .. overheard our waiter ask couple aside us if boxed leftovers were going back to "separate houses or just one house"-strange way to ask if the boxes should be put in one bag or separate bags. Also waiter had cold and rubbed his nose while taking our order. Then when waiter arrived with my husbands dish, clams & linguine, he spilled liquid from dish on my husband's side of the table. My husband & I laughed because similar thing happened last time we ate at Luciano's with another waiter who tried pouring a glass of water in a glass but ended up spilling the entire pitcher of water on the table. Awkard moments at Luciano's!!!! Perhaps the waiters need a bit more training or supervision.
This is by far the best of the best . We look forward to our trips to this restaurant more than any other place in the world ! I love this place !!!
Best Italian restaurant....and Luciano himself walking around adds a personal touch.....have been going to Luciano's for over 20 years and love it
The food was fabulous and plentiful. The owner greeted every guest. We appreciated that. You couldn't get a better meal.
Luciano's is always incredible. Excellent service, delicious food, and romantic atmosphere. I would highly recommend anyone who loves good food, and expects top notch service, try Luciano's.
Food was okay. Not exceptional.
My husband and I were going out to celebrate my birthday. He asked where I would like to go. I immediately choose Luciano's. I have been there about 5 other times. Sometimes with a group and sometimes as a couple. Every time the service is fantastic. The wait staff make you feel special and the food is wonderful. The portions are huge and allow me to enjoy the food for lunch the next day. The chairs are very comfortable and the ambience is special. I would recommend Luciano's to anyone. Thank you for a great birthday dinner celebration!
Always a great experience, good food, excellent service - especially the personal service from Luciano himself.
Luciano's is our choice when we are looking for a nice romantic excellent Italian dinner - Our reservation was ready at our time - And our meal was excellent - Only issue was we requested some bread took a while for it to arrive
We were a party of 4. We arrived a bit early, and were seated immediately. Laura, our waitress could not have been more accommodating. I have a sensitivity to sodium, and she consulted with the chef and a specially prepared meal was made. Everyone had a delicious meal. I loved the ease of making the reservation through Open Table. This is our second time having Open Table facilitate our reservation, will use the site again!!! Thank you
After several years of thinking about going, we finally made it to Luciano's for our anniversary. We were not disappointed. The bar was cozy, the drinks were wonderful, the staff was superb, and the food was delicious. We'll be back a
We were seated near two tables that were having an inter-table, loud chat, supplemented by the owner's frequent visits to them. OK -- distracting, might have been nice if he merely at least asked us how our meal was. Our waiter, also, was deeply involved, leaving us to feel a bit like chopped liver (not a menu choice). Just didn't feel right, or comfortable. Now, the food was awesome, and the venue really nice -- we'll try again, and hopefully the personalization will be shared among a few more tables and diners.
We went to Luciano's to celebrate our anniversary. We have dined there several times and once again, Luciano's did not disappoint. Everything was excellent from the valet parking, to the pleasant welcome by the hostess, to the attentive yet never over-bearing service, to the wonderfully prepared meals. We had the veal Marsala which was melt in your mouth fork tender, and the shrimp Toscana, a very creative and delicious sautéed shrimp with cherry tomatoes, olives and finished with goat cheese over capellini. We ended the meal with a shared Creme Brûlée which was , of course, outstanding! The managers walk around to all the tables and you are always made to feel like a valued customer. Love this restaurant !
Felt like we were stepping back in time. Slightly old fashioned looking, but a nice experience. Large lounge, comfortable chairs, great drinks. Huge portions, so lots of sharing.
Overall a great dining experience. Welcomed immediately. Food was fantastic! Our waiter was very personable and gave great dinner recommendations. I thought the bar area was too dark though.
One of the best meals I've had in a long time.
For an expensive restaurant the chicken was very dry and the service was poor and very unprofessional. Will never go back again!
We had heard very good things about Luciano's and the restaurant did not disappoint. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just right. The menu and specials made it difficult to choose one entree. We would go back in a heartbeat.
He ruined our evening. He was slow. He told us the specials and I said is that everything because it doesn't sound like much in comparision to what Luciano's has, he said yes. So about 10 minutes later we all hear a different waiter saying the special and it was double what our waiter said. When our waiter finally showed up we told him to go find out EVERY special there was for tonight. He show's up with a large peice of paper and lists all the special, including the wons he forgot to mention. He frustrated us the whole evening. He won't keep us from going back, but we will make sure we never have him again as our waiter. It took us 3 hours to get through our dinner. Hate when you have to search for your waiter all the time.
This restaurant has been around for a long time, but every time it never disappoints me. The service is impeccable. At first, they bring you fresh bread with olive oil and spices, along with a foccacia bread with fresh garlic, spices and fresh tomatoes on top. You don't need to order an appetizer, but we did. By the time the main course came, I was stuffed and had it for brunch the next day. You can't go wrong with Lucciano's. It is always packed, so make sure you make a reservation.
As always the experience was a true delight. The food is awesome. The service is great. and the the atmosphere is suitable to a variety of occasions from formal to simply a notable dining experience. Our families choice for special occasions. Well worth a try if you've never been. You won't be disappointed.
Celebrated my 20-year anniversary with my husband, and it couldn't have been nicer. While the noise level was a bit high due to proximity of tables, the service, food, and ambiance overall was perfect. Knowledgeable and attentive staff, delicious food delivered expertly, and an old-world Italian feel give this restaurant a double-thumbs-up!
expensive. Luciano's has a reputation of being very good and it is.
The service was impeccable and the dining was a delight!
nothing out of the ordinary. Seafood dish was very good but the italian food was very similar to any other restaurant that is much more inexpensive. Service was exceptional but I felt like I was attending a wedding with the decor. Not really impressed!!!! Would I return......not in the near future.
Absolutely fabulous!!! We had a girl's get-together and everything was wonderful. The food, as usual, was outstanding. The waiter was very energetic, friendly and knowledgable.
We got to the restaurant early and only waited a few minutes before they sat us. We placed our orders, and that's when issues started. It took awhile for my shrimp cocktail to come. And when I received it, it had 3 small shrimp in it. For $15 I would've expected 3 jumbo shrimp or more of the small/medium shrimp. We then received our salads. My salad was contained frozen leaves of lettuce so I did not enjoy that. We then preceded to wait a long time before our dinner entrees arrived. We were sat at 5:45, it was now 7:15 when our dinner arrived and when it arrived it was wrong. The waitress did not even apologize, she just walked away. At this point, I had giving up on enjoying my dinner. We decided to leave.
I have been to Luciano's many times. I have never had a bad experience. The food has always been the best.
My wife and I went to Luciano's for a personal celebration. The service was very good, friendly and helpful. Music was enjoyable and not too loud. The ambiance was quite pleasant. Unfortunately the food was only fair-to-good. It was served hot and the presentation was nice but the flavor and spices missed the high marks. Sauces tasted 'steam table' maintained. Luciano's provided a nice evening out but perhaps we ordered the 'wrong' entrees. For a $100.00 + tax + tip dinner-for-2 we expected more.
Having dinner at Luciano's is dining the way it should be. Perfect service, no rush, no noise, great food. A little bit of pampering and warm friendly staff surround you. Felt like a home. Staff is exceptional, service was exceptional, and of course the food was out of this world. A germ right next door. How lucky we are to not have to go into the North End to get the old world Italian experience. xo
We had a pleasant evening at Luciano's celebrating my daughter's college graduation. Nice place to have a relaxing dinner. Our waiter, Frank was a little rough around the edges, but made the evening a bit entertaining. Food was good, a little overpriced for what we were served, but I guess we knew that going in. Overall a nice place for a family dinner
Our reservations were for 6:30, we did not get seated till 7, and they were
going to put 4 of us at a table for 2...thought front staff was snobby, and
not very apologetic for the delay.
Server should mention price of specials...
Food was good, but I wasn't overly thrilled.
Went with my parents and daughter for celebrating college graduation. Although I mentioned this in the reservation to the restaurant we were seated at a table right at an entrance to other rooms so there was a lot of traffic/staff going by us. All I could think of was what is landing on my plate when all these people walk right by my table??
The restaurant was not crowded and we could have been placed elsewhere so I was puzzled at the cramped table. Didn't want to make a scene as my old-fashioned parents would have been embarrassed. As we were there to celebrate the grad before our 3 hour drive home and have some lunch, it was ok. Ambiance beautiful, food not anything special (no one loved their meal), prices high.
My wife and I have been coming to Luciano's for years for our anniversary and we've never been disappointed. The food is always excellent and varied choices available, and the wine list is very good as well. Service is always professional, attentive, but not overbearing. They always seem to know when to come to the table, and when not to.
Luciano's is always good. Food is terrifis, much to choose from. Service is terrific also-Marty was helpful, friendly, and alays there when needed. Love Lucianos!
In spike of the power outage everything was very nice however the Managers and waitstaff could have been more forthcoming on explaining what happened and what to expect instead of waiting for people to ask what happened and will there be a problem with our meals.
Once again, a nice dining experience. No rush. Luciano's is always a sure thing. I like an 8:30 reservation.
