Luciano's Ratings and Reviews
Nice place overall. Parking was good. Did not appreciate the table my wife and I were seated at. It was next to an emergency exit that must be adjacent to the kitchen because we could hear all the racket. We were also seated very close to a young couple with a baby who was fusy. They should sit people with children all together and try and put older couples separate. We ate fillets and the meat was excellent. The Bernaise sauce was not prepared properly and was cold. The service was excellent. The waiter saved the place.
Glad to say I went but will probably not return or recommend.
Have been here 2x in less than a month and cannot wait to go again. We got there a little early and had a couple drinks and just relaxed in the bar, that setting alone should bring you in. This time we had Rosie as our waitress and she is fantastic another real gem. The food was great tried something different again this time and wasn't let down at all. We go to the North End and have also eaten at some of the higher chain Italian restaurants and always find Luciano's the true treat.
Thank you again
Went for our Valebtine's dinner. The waiter seemed new and didn't have a wine recommendation as requested from the reservation. My dinner was wrong but I do like this restaurant and the food. We had a rose on our table and roses around the seating. The waiter did correct the dinner and gave me the wrong one at no charge.
Food was ok. Service was great our waitress Rosie was awesome. We spent a lot of $$ and was very disappointed with the staff at the front desk. Not very welcoming on the way in and ignored us on the way out. Was dissipointed with that and not goin to rush back anytime soon.
We always have a good time at Luciano's. Since this was Valentine's Day, the restaurant was very different from normal nights but fun because of it. The crowd was very diverse in age and demographic which speaks to the wide appeal of Luciano's. They did not reduce the menu at all as many places do when facing a big rush - in fact they added about 5 specials that were quite complex to the list verbally. By the time we sat down around 9pm, the staff had clearly had a long night already but were still in good spirits. When a restaurant maintains its charms on what must be one of their busier nights, the restaurant is being run well. Luciano's impressed me again.
The food was amazing and there was tons of it. We thought the menu looked pricey until we saw how much food you get. Our waiter was fantastic. We celebrated valentines day and my birthday the same night and the waiter made sure to acknowledge both! Valet attendant was very nice as well. Would definitely go back and I recommend this place to everyone!
Our overall experience at Luciano's was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner (except for my side of pasta, I was not a fan of the sauce) and our waitress seemed very nice and had the very long list of specials completely memorized which was impressive. My only complaint was that we went to Luciano's on Valentine's Day to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. In my table reservation I had asked for a nice quiet out of the way table where we could sit and celebrate quietly (I made it over a month in advance) but we got a table that was right next to both the kitchen as well as the entrance to another room where the waitstaff kept rushing by us through our entire dinner. Not too romantic.
Valentine's Day was very busy and the resturant was short handedService was very slow and the food came out coldHave eaten there before on Sat evenings and was busier than Valentine's Day and the food and service were excellentThey should have refused so many diners if they did not have full staff
I've dined at Lucianos a couple of times. This last visit the service was horrible, And a rather noisy environment. It took 30 minutes to get bread and hear the appetizer specials, the waiter ( who was very distracted) left without saying the dinner specials and sat 2 other tables, got them drinks and took the orders. 20 minutes later he realized when my fiance and i were gathering our coats to leave he replied " I'm sorry i forgot about you." The only good service i received was from the bus boys... I enjoy the food however i do not feel as if my service deserved the $103 bill i had to pay.
The food was mostly excellent. Prices for the specials were sometimes "off the chart." One was $69. and, one has to ask what the Special prices were.
The dessert Chocolate Cake was not as described -- did not come with chocolate dipped strawberries as described in menu and as pictured in the display case. The chocolate in the cake and icing was a bit below par. Dessert did not live up to the same standards as the entrees.
We've been to Luciano's several times throughout the years and this is our go to place for special occasions. We had a lovely time this past weekend. We had reservations, were seated immediately in a somewhat quiet little niche. The food portions are substantial and are prepared to perfection. Our server was delightful and very busy, but this did not stop her from checking in on us.
Luciano's is our favorite restaurant for every family birthday occasion - the service is excellent, the food exemplary, especially the homemade pasta and the fact that the owner himself circulates about the patrons saying ciao to everybody is especially nice. We are Italian and this restaurant blends a classic Italian style/old world dining experience yet is contemporary enough that it satisfies even the younger dining crowd.
The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. When we were seated, we found out how huge the restaurant is, but you can't tell when you're seated because its broken into several small, intimate rooms. Our waitress (Mary) was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We will definitely keep this restaurant in mind when we have visitors or a special occasion to celebrate!
