Awesome food. Great service. Delicious wines.
This was our first time here. Their house tomato sauce for the bread is delicious!!! We were dipping our calamari in that sauce cause it was just that good. Octopus carpaccio and the calamari fritti were both great appetizers.
The zuppa di mare was very good and flavorful without being salty, but the salmon pieces were a bit on the fishy side and the clams were sandy. The broth though was seasoned perfectly and the amount of seafood you get is worth the money. The shrimp fra diavola was the best dish of the night! Pasta and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the sauce was super tasty! Carbonara was great as well. Now the disappointments came from the rigatoni and the lasagna. May be our fault, but we were expecting typical rectangularly shaped lasagna with layers and layers of pasta, cheese filling and bolognese but were surprised to find a big plate with a pile of melted cheese covering up the entire dish and not seeing the layers we were hoping for at first glance. Not many pasta layers were under all that cheese and more sauce would’ve been preferred. Now this dish was more on the salty side due to the huge layer of cheese on top. The rigatoni description says the sauce is spicy but not spicy at all, and this was surprisingly lacking in flavor. Those who have a lighter palate would possibly enjoy this, but if you are looking for a pasta dish with a more robust sauce such as a bolognese or ragu, this dish might leave you a bit underwhelmed.
Everything here was overall very satisfactory. Our server was great. He gave us everything we needed promptly and checked on us an appropriate amount of times.
I do have to mention, our group had one collective complaint - the music. We appreciate live music, but why does it need to be so loud??? We had to constantly talk over each other and towards the end of our dinner, we just gave up on trying to have conversations.
Ruth our server was extremely thoughtful and took great care of the hubby & I for our anniversary! Everything from beginning to end was superbly done. We had a private table in back and vase with 2 gorgeous roses.
Our party of 10 really enjoyed the evening. Everything was really good except the Duroc pork chop that I ordered. I was disappointed at how tough and chewy it was. As a pork lover, I generally find heritage pork tender and delicious. The side order of gnocchi, the calamari, the antipasto, and the mussels we all shared were very good. My wife loved her sea bass, and several people enjoyed their steaks.
We would definitely go back.
A perfect night thanks to the entire staff! From the cocktails to dessert, a truly delicious meal and staff that was friendly, knowledgeable, and top notch! Thanks for making our 33rd wedding anniversary something to remember. You guys are the best!
I have eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. I ate the gnocchi and Caesar salad. Both were delicious. The best thing there is the sundried tomato sauce for dipping their incredible bread.
The atmosphere is beautiful and the service is top notch.
Give it a try. You won’t regret it.
Wonderful evening! The food was amazing! We were celebrating my husband's birthday, and we had a lovely time.
Homecoming dinner for 8. They had a great time!
The service was great. The veal ravioli was amazing! You will love it.
Anniversary celebration with Friends and Family
Nicole and KJ once again took care of us during an important evening for our family. We love coming here for our special occasions, and wish we could come more often!
Wonderful service and delicious food.
This was our first experience at Luciano's. We were meeting some friends we had not seen in a while and they recommended the restaurant and said it was, "the best restaurant in the area." Man were they right. We tried 2 appetizers, one was shrimp and the other calamari. Both were great. We split a salad, also delicious. My wife had chicken picata and I has scallops; both were mouth-watering. We will definitely go back if we are in the area.
We took our 16yr old daughter out for a nice, quiet family birthday dinner here and she enjoyed every minute of it. The ambiance was nice, the food was amazing and our waiter was attentive! We will definitely be back!
Not LGBT friendly. When my husband and I got there ahead of our party before 8 pm, the hostess said they weren't accepting walk-ins; an interracial LGBT couple waiting for a table gave us a heads-up that we could make reservations online, so we thanked them & made one for our party of 7. The couple said the hostess was rude to them, but the hostess was solicitous towards my husband and I—who, for context, are both white. She was also solicitous to the other white couples whose body language indicated they were hetero partners or same-sex friends, even if they took the same advice we had. The couple said their reservation was for 8:15; our reservation was 8:30; another pair (2 white female friends) made an online reservation for 8:30 on the same couple's advice. After making our reservation, I heard the hostess say the couple's table might not be ready til after 8:30; the couple said they'd wait. At ~8:20, the friends were told their table was ready. The friends offered it to the couple, explaining that they'd been waiting longer. A manager said the couple's reservation couldn't be honored; they'd made it after they'd been turned away as walk-ins. The friends pointed out they also made reservations after being turned down as walk-ins; the manager said technically their reservations shouldn't be honored either, but they were going to honor as many reservations as they could… despite the fact that the friends had the same # as the interracial LGBT couple. The couple left, upset. If my husband & I'd been eating alone, we would've left too, but we were with family who'd had their hearts set on eating here, so we decided to just never come back. We were seated for our 8:30 reservation at 8:26. The food was good; I wish we could say the same for the service. Everyone was friendly and solicitous (to us), but we didn't get napkins or silverware until several minutes after our food had already arrived. My husband and I ordered sweet tea and were served unsweet tea.
I think that we caught them on a bad night. They ran out of bread, shrimp, and tortellini by 8:00. A show just ended at the arena and they seated lots of tables at once and so the staff was hectic.
The best Italian restaurant in the area with great service and ambiance
Our group shared a variety of starters instead of ordering entrees. Great choice, as all the starters were great. Our waiter, Agustin, was very attentive. This must have been my third time at Luciano's, and I will return.
Food was great, but the service was a bit lacking. In our case, server forgot a couple things, and didn't know that they kitchen no longer had (or ran out of) certain food or dessert, etc....
We have been Luciano’s clients since it opened and Friday was my husband’s bday so we were expecting a good experience and it ended up being the opposite. I ordered a bottle of white wine and the wine vase was not brought to us only after we asked. The server (Mariana) said she must have dreamed that she brought it. Then the A/C was turned off around 10:30PM. We were sweating! The 4 of us were all feeling the heat in the room. She only came to our table once after food arrived so she never came back -not even to check if we were finished to pack our meals in time for us to order desert. Unfortunately when I ask for the desert menu she said the kitchen had closed. I mean. She should have had given us a heads up that the kitchen was closing and asked us if we wanted anything else. If she should have checked a bit more often she could have offered us deserts but we were there over 15-20 mins forgotten and then “the kitchen is closed” excuse. We left without singing happy birthday to my husband even when the reservation was made through OpenTable and I indicated it was a birthday dinner. Between the wine cooler, bad service, not checking on us, and no desert we are not going back to Luciano’s. Too bad that the staff doesn’t have the best attitude towards the end of the day and just want to leave as soon as they can. It’s not fair for clients that arrive for a late dinner and get the worst service.
It was wonderful as usual.
Cirque Show pre dinner.
This is the perfect place to dine before attending a show at infinite energy center. We will be back!
Great food good times
We started with an appetizer of Burrata which we felt was very good. However our main courses failed to meet the mark. My wife had the chicken parmesan which she said was just ok and I had the mixed seafood Zuppa di mare which was very smelly. I had sand in my mussels so I stopped eating it at that point. I love seafood and am almost never putt off by smell so was really disappointed.
Not one of our better visits. We frequent Luciano's at least once a month with pleasant dining experiences. This time, the service was terrible (we finished our water and drinks but no one came to refill; we finally had to hunt someone down. Our salads came right out but then we waited almost 30 minutes before the entrees were served), the music was so loud we couldn't carry on a conversation (I saw 2 different managers ask the singer to tone it down before it actually happened) and the waitress tried to compensate by delivering a chocolate cream pie to the table when we asked for the check. Hint to waitress: If you want to make amends for terrible service, say so and offer the customer a choice of options, rather than choosing what you want them to have. (Neither one of us likes chocolate cream pie.) We will go back but hope the restaurant was just having a bad night.
For the prices, I would expect at least a couple dishes with fresh made pasta to be on the menu. The $21 Antipasti Board didn’t include anything I couldn’t source at Costco. Presented nicely but...meh. Service was outstanding.
I have celebrated my birthday at Luciano's since opening and I never consider another restaurant. Menu offers something for all diet preferences, the service outstanding and the ambiance makes the experience special. This year I brought friends, one of whom was also celebrating her birthday, and they were pleasantly surprised. And those delicious donuts with the birthday candle were to die for! See you next birthday!
Great service, great food, great ambiance
We always enjoy dinner and great service. Perfect place for catching up with a friend.
We had a lovely time. It was our first time at this restaurant and our waitress helped me in my selection. She knew the menu completely and was able to make recommendations. I cannot wait to come back. Top quality food, great wine selection and reasonable prices. I might have to become a regular.
I had been to Luciano's before and it was quite good, so I had expected to have a great dinner and an ambiance that allowed for conversation with my date. We were seated initially next to the "band" which consisted of 2 people singing off key to recorded music, giving it the feel of a Karoake bar, only really loud.
We asked and were moved to another table, so a bit better. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was fine, and took our time to order appetizers and dinner. Our server was clearly new, did not really know much about the food or wine (she told us she wasn't much on wine). We ordered the filet and lobster ($45), and asked to split it. We were unpleasantly surprised when the food came. Good presentation, but one of the "steaks" (about the size of an apricot, with the bone) was cooked medium the other medium rare, we asked for medium rare.
I am comfortable eating in a fine dining restaurant and paying higher prices for quality food and service, but in this instance the total bill was $187 for 1 meal (split), 2 bottles of wine and 2 after dinner drinks. With tip $215 (I didn't short the waitress because she was put in the wrong position, she did her best with the training she got).
Overall, there are better places to get good value for your fine dining dollar. Not on the list for future dates.
Food is always great, service is usually an issue unless you eat at the bar. It’s taken me 5 months to return after my last visit because of very poor service. This time once we finally got waited on, service was okay but the waiter ignored us for 15 minutes while he cleaned and reset tables. Honestly if he had just acknowledged us it would have been enough but a greeting and giving us drinks would have greatly improved this experience. Table cleaning could have waited until our orders were in especially since no one was waiting and no one was dat there while we were there.
great! Love the live music especially when the African American gentleman sings think last name is Callahan? food is always great
Our server gave us excellent attention and the meals were delicious as always!
Luciano’s is our “girls night out” favorite spot for a lovely leisurely dinner! And.... thanks for the birthday desserts!
Lucianos is one of our faves for special occasions or just for a nice night out on the town. Food is good to great - consistently. All your favorite Italian dishes and more. Love that they give you a free dessert for your birthday - my wife enjoyed the fresh donuts with Nutella filling - and there were enough to share. Prices are reasonable to high but worth it for what you get. I know some are put off by a restaurant in a strip mall - I have no issues with that as they make it super nice inside. Highly enjoyable
I have written about 4 reviews and have deleted them all trying to convey my thoughts. Simply put - the food was good, the service was exceptional but when dropping $250 for dinner I would like to be able to carry on a conversation with the people that I'm dining with. We were placed next to the live musical duo and eventually just quit trying to carry on a conversation. This isn't a sports bar nor an eclectic, flash in the pan, jam packed, fashion hot spot. I understand that when dining at those types of places, the noise level will be high - but not at a fine dining establishment.
We went for my boyfriend’s birthday. I ordered a pizza, I think it would’ve been good but it needed about half the cheese on it. I sent it back to try to get it Chris beer because it was so soggy from grease from the cheese I couldn’t pick it up. They brought me out a new pizza but of course everyone else was finished with dinner when that came. My boyfriend ordered chicken Parm very large portion but he said it was kind of bland tasting . Their bread and dipping sauce is delicious. I would try again with a different dish. Very courteous staff very clean environment. Just wish they take some of that cheese off the pizza. I even love cheese but that was too much for me.
