Luciano's - Charlotte Ratings and Reviews
We had dined At Luciano’s in Duluth , Georgia and loved it. On this trip to Charlotte I saw on open table that there was a Luciano’s there. We were not disappointed!! Great food, service and atmosphere! A wonderful dining experience!! When in Charlotte I definitely recommend Luciano’s for a great dining experience!
Overall great Italian restaurant. The chicken picatta and rigatoni entrees were wonderful along with the meatball appetizer. The tortellini missed the mark as it was more like a dumpling and way way too much goat cheese. The shrimp fra Diablo had no heat whatsoever so that was more like shrimp and spaghetti sauce. Dessert was the small doughnuts with nutella, very yummy. Still a great restaurant choice.
Our waiter Daniel was AMAZING!! He took great care of us as we hung our for our anniversary. We werent rushed or hurried even though there was a line of people before we were finished. The assistant GM was there hustling along with his wait staff, helping clear tables, serve ect, he was doing everything he asked his staff to do. Staff was very kind and friendly. Food was superb. Only complaint was the noise level was quite high, but that goes along with a busy establishment. We will be back!!!
Fantastic fine dining, I consider it one of the BEST Italian/Seafood restaurants in Charlotte. We’ve dined there several times and have never been disappointed. Excellent service, entrees and extensive wine list. Great location in the south end of Charlotte and the valet parking is a plus.
I was disappointed in Luciano’s. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary but it was just an okay experience. The waiter seemed to be rushed, even though we were there at 5:45 (the only time we could make a reservation thru Open Table) and there were only a few tables occupied. The food was okay, nothing special. The night before I ordered a glass of wine for $12/glass at an upscale restaurant and that same glass of wine was $19 at Luciano’s. There is no reason to ever return.
Had he halibut fettuccini which was a special that evening. It was finished tableside by heating the fettuccini in a stir pan on a portable stove and then pouring it in a wheel of Parmagian, so it was creamy and delicious. The drinks were fabulous, the service a bit slow and not as attentive nor as articulate as I like and the ambience is a bit more open and brightly lit than I prefer. But all-in-all, a great evening and delicious food.
This was my 3rd visit to Luciano's and they were terrific again. The food was great, Lorena was attentive and personable. I had the tomato basil fettucini with blackened chicken and my husband had the gnocchi. Both dishes were delicious. We'll definitely go back.
We went there for my birthday and it was absolutely fabulous. The food was out of sight. I tried carpaccio for the first time and it was delicious. I got the house special of lobster ravioli and they were the best lobster ravioli I’ve had in years. We sat outside because the weather was perfect and cool. I would’ve given the atmosphere five stars, but we sat outside and there was plenty of traffic of course. Had a lovely romantic evening for my birthday with my husband!
I celebrated my birthday at Luciano’s. Server was great and food was delicious and well prepared and presented. It was 4 of us. Only thing we noticed is the Chicken Picatta was low on flavor for the chicken itself. We never use the salt shaker but unfortunately had to this time. Other than that it was great as always.
Great job as always. We have been coming to Luciano's since it opened in ATL and followed it to CLT. Menu still remains spot on and the carpaccio is a standard that hasn't been met anywhere else for me. This visit we had a bit of a hiccup in the order however Luciano's addressed it and "turned a tragic moment into a magic moment".
Good food, the wine is overpriced for the selection. The live music was a little loud for how empty the restaurant was. If the restaurant was packed, the music volume would have perfect. The food was solid. We got the Rigatoni, Gnocchi, wedge salad, and calamari. Would defiantly go back, we would just avoid the wine selections.
A group of us met to celebrate a birthday and it was so fun! There was a musician duo that provided perfect background music. I go a few times a year but none of my friends had been before and I have a feeling they'll all be back. The service and food was fantastic (as always!) and everyone loved the goat cheese pomodoro as much as we do :) Thank you!
Our second visit and most likely our last. Sested directly in front of a duo providing loud off key music making it nearly impossible to have a conversation. The water delivered to the table tasted like sludge and had to order a bottle of Pelligrino just to be able to have water. Between the musical racket and the nearly impossible to understand waiter communication was challenging at best. The food was marginal and both my wife and daughter became ill after eating the veal. $220 for 4 people, with no wine, was definitely not worth it.
