Lucia Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We have a yearly tradition around Christmas to spend a few nights in the city with our kids. Our go to restaurant closed 5 yrs ago, so we have been searching for a new spot ever since. We think we have found it at Lucia! And our server, David, was a huge reason why! We will definitely be regulars!
I've been to Lucia's a few times. It's one of my favorite North End restaurants. It was a quiet Monday night so noise level was quiet, usually when it's full it's a bit noisier. Service as always was excellent. We started our meal with a delicious antipasto with Barretta (sp?) cheese. Loved that cheese! Then we had veal saltimbocca and melanzane parmigiana. Both delicious. Unfortunately we didn't have any room for dessert.
I was in college the very first time I ate at Lucia's Ristorante and have continued to eat there.
The food is awesome and since my mother and father are from the Sulmona, Italia area, the food speaks to me! Our meals on Sunday night were amazing; beautiful presentation, generous portions and so tasty! We will definitely be back with more friends soon.
We dined at Lucia’s on a snowy Saturday night in December. Our waiter, Josh was delightful, knew the wine list and dinner menu very well, and when asked he offered excellent recommendations. Every one of us loved our dinners and the anti pasto and salad were great and just right in terms of not being over filling before dinner. Wait staff were attentive but unobtrusive. Dinner was excellent. Price was about $180 with appetizers, entrees and drinks before tip.
In short, Lucia’s was very enjoyable and would definitely recommend.
Amazing staff & food. We had Billy as our server and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back for outstanding service and food. Loved the ambiance. They also have a liquor license so having an espresso martini to end my meal was the topping on an awesome night. We will be back!!
Excellent dinner. Even though this was a quiet Tuesday night, Lucia’s had their chef set up in the dining room, where he made the most delicious snowflake pasta dish! Perfect to celebrate the holidays with family and friends! Our waiter was attentive, very personable and we were treated so well! I can’t recommend Lucia’s enough. So many tourists miss this little gem because they pick a restaurant located earlier on the street. But Lucia’s is just a little further - opposite the park near the Old North Church, and is so worth the few extra steps. We’ve been coming here for years and it never fails to delight! And the ambiance is warm and romantic! Love this restaurant!
Nice meal for a group of 4. We sat downstairs which we really liked. The food was delicious. Especially enjoyed the Pollo Lucia. It was my daughter's first time dining in the North End. She and her friends loved it. Nice wine list too. I must also comment on our waiter Lewis. He was a very pleasant young man who provided top notch service. Thank you for a wonderful night!
Took my girlfriend here for our anniversary and everything was amazing. Our server, Christiano was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the specials. Everything we had was very good including dessert and cappuccinos. I will definitely be back due to the authentic menu, friendly staff, and cozy restaurant.
The restaurant had a nice vibe. The food was mediocre. I had the chicken marsala and it was absolutely Bland. My date had the four cheese pasta and that was good, but very single dimensional flavors. I would not put this as a top restaurant in the north end for Italian
We arrived for our reservation and were seated immediately. Our dinners were excellent... the service, not so much... although I won't say it was poor or the waiter did anything in particular wrong, however, you rarely saw him.... it was a busy Friday night but not packed.. We had to ask for grated cheese three times.... drinks ( other than water ) were not offered again... we definitely would have had another wine with diner. Overall, the food was excellent, the service was less than average but, we would try it again.... maybe not on weekend.
We went to Lucia as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. The service was slow and poor and the food was "alright at most"/poor in comparison to any other of the many the North End italian restaurants we have been to. Would definitely not recommend in general.
Food was very good. Only complaints for our group of 8 was very crowded tables in lower level. We were stuck in a corner table and it was a bit too tight. All meals were great except for the chicken parm. It was pounded very very thin (which is generally a good thing) but it was over cooked and had too much breading. Could not taste chicken at all and was dried out. Sauce & cheese were good though so possibly just bad luck. All the other meals were very good.
My friends and I went for dinner for a college reunion. The food was descent, but some of the sauces were kind of bland. Our waitor was nice but clearly drunk, which we felt was inappropriate for a nice restaurant, but he did manage to get all our food correct without writing it down. Overall, the food was fine, the service was fine, but I wouldn't go back.
Ristorante Lucia was a wonderful experience. First off, unlike many restaurants on Hanover street, it wasn't super noisy and jammed with tables. The atmosphere was quiet and there was plenty of room between tables so that you didn't overhear conversations from other tables. The food was excellent. The Amazzafame is a must-try! Terrificly spicy with plenty of veggies and sausage in a delicous white wine sauce. We also enjoyed the more delicate flavor of the Scaloppine Abruzzese. The wine list has quite a good variety of types of wine and price levels. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Boston.
Delicious food! Obviously authentic Italian cuisine, and our server was attentive and cared about our comfort and thoughts, even taking the time to learn our names and a little bit about where we were from. Only complaint is that we didn't have bigger stomachs to finish our meals - but that meant we could take home the leftovers for another night! Would recommend to anyone who loves Italian food.
We went for an early dinner before a hockey game so the restaurant was not terribly busy. We had a wonderful meal!! We ordered the eggplant parm, fettucine alfredo w/ chicken, veal saltimbocca and (the best) stuffed veal chop. The portions were very large which made for great leftovers. They had a very nice wine list and made a nice manhattan. The only slight disappointment was that we ordered a shrimp scampi appetizers to share that never appeared. The waiter felt terrible and of course, we were not charged just disappointed not to try it!! I will defintely return to this restaurant and recommend to friends!
