Service personel are so helpful but didnt listen. I changed order 2 times because she listen only first word. We are muslim so we dont eat pork we said that she said no meat include food but first apetizer has pork meat. Also we gave order they add the reciept but we didnt eat.
We asked the table person4l said it is not able. I entered open tabl4 make reservation only minute. Show there they accepted. I understanf reservatiob is important but they didnt listen or check anything
This was my 2nd time in 2 months. First experience great!
This one…server was not!
Very nice we got outside seating thanks to Mgr.
Food was very good. Gnocchi; shrimp scampi on spinach; lasagne. Side salads dripping in dressing n I took onions off.
The server took our order. That was it! Til I asked him about cannolis. Then til I had to ask hostess to get him to bring check; the Mgr did. After waiting again! I got up to go pay n oh boy the server came up to me then. I only tipped him 15%; he did virtually nothing.
Other servers very attentive; checking to see how food etc was. At the table next to us they asked for more bread…the busser said they didn’t have anymore🤷♀️Later the guest asked same busser you usually do have bread don’t you? She said no we never have bread😳They do too!!!!!
What the heck happened in 2 months?!
Ty to the Mgr tho for getting us outside seating n my check.
The Mgr. Frank is a key person for this location. He is the most gracious and accommodating food manager I have ever experienced. We will back ....Thanks....Frank !!
Waiter. Failed to bring us water, napkins , silverware, and bread even after acknowledging us. Had to ask for all of the above 15-20 min after sitting down. Manager non responsive at time of seating to issues. Called us later to apologize but too little to late would not recommend. Plenty of other great restaurants in the north end.
service mediocre. Salmon was dry and overcooked. asparagus was steamed without flavor. white beans were not good. Mushroom pasta was great.
The food was cold. The service was terrible. We really tried to like the place, but they just wouldn’t let us. We expressed concerns to our server, but they weren’t addressed. I recommend Olive Garden.
Had a new waiter who was "shadowing" another waiter, but neither was attentive or showed up together. Had to flag down the manager several times, waiting for the two waiters to get our drinks and order. Food was okay.
Food was delicious !!
Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Hold onto those employees.
Service issues were our biggest problem. We got drinks, bread and water promptly but waited about 30 minutes for a waitress to appear and ask about appetizers and later for entrées. They made a mistake on two sides (it happens) and took the plates to correct it. It never returned or nor was acknowledged when our meal was over! Also, when our table complained that it had gotten hot and stuffy (on the 2nd floor) we were told that a woman at the opposite table didn't like the air blowing on her and so they turned off the unit. We skipped dessert and left uncomfortably hot. Food was decent but unremarkable.
Always have a great meal at Lucias. Lobster
Ravioli was super
Service was not that great. Pasta dishes were mediocre. The lobster ravioli, had 4 tiny lobster slices on top of the cheese ravooili. Vodka pasta was too dry and when we asked for sauce, it was watery.
My best friend was visiting for her first night in Boston. We walked around the North End and ate dinner at Lucia's. The staff was wonderful, the service was great, the food was even better and the ambiance was perfect for a tourist who wants to see the city. There were parades going down the street while we ate. We ate outside in the beautiful courtyard. Definitely recommend.
I have been going to Lucia's for years. However unfortunately I think their staffing situation was impacted by Covid.
Last nite there was no bartender and the new waitresses were trying to make drinks without the knowledge. It took 20 minutes to get a drink and then it was spilled on to the table. One drink was made totally wrong. There was a bug in the water. When we complained to the hostess there was no action. I think a complementary round of drinks would have been appropriate.
Visiting Boston with my family, and bringing my daughters to the restaurant that I first took my wife to almost 20 years ago, when my wife and I were first dating.
This was a beautiful restaurant and we loved the outdoor seating!
Excellent food and wonderful service
Excellent food and service in an authentic North End Italian restaurant. Enjoyed the entire experience and will visit again next time we are in Boston.
The food was OUTSTANDING! Restaurant was pretty busy at 1:00 pm on sunday.
The staff was wonderful and the food delicious!
On vacation in Boston, had one free night. We were excited to goto Little Italy. Service was slooooow, had to ask for every, little thing…utensils, olive oil three times after they served us dry bread, they were out of the dessert we ordered, pasta tasted bland, like a kids meal. No utensils, salt, pepper, olive oil, Parmesan. When pasta came we lifted up our salad and appetizer plates to make room and he plopped the pasta down and walked away, leaving us holding extra plates in our laps. Waste of a nice night. First review I have ever left on Open Table. Took the time because it actually was that bad!
Old school Italian restaurant. Great food, service, reasonable prices-always a positive experience dining here!
Food was cold and not good.
Amazing food!!! We couldn’t decide what to order so we decided on several dishes to share. The wine was excellent and the sugar cookie martini was over the top! We are visiting from Phoenix Arizona and will definitely be back for this delicious Italian food.
We had a reservation and had to wait ten minutes because they were so confused on tables. Then they sat us upstairs and it was freezing! The calamari was good, and so was the chicken Marsala. The other pasta dish was horrible. The pasta was not cooked at all. We also had to ask for utensils then again for bread. Service was definitely not good.
Maybe they're still getting back up to speed post-pandemic but nothing was particularly good, except for our server who was friendly and professional. In an almost empty restaurant the host seated us next to the wait station and seemed confused and annoyed when I asked for a different table. The food was bland and not especially well prepared. The tomatoes for the caprese weren't ripe. No butter or olive oil served with the bread. My chicken dish was served over pasta that, I suspect, hadn't been drained well and was watery. Plus the interior of the restaurant is very dark without many windows.
Excellent food, kind and courteous service. We will definitely be back.
To be perfectly honest they were very busy and several things came out wrong or not at all. But
Service was not good and food was just ok. Very loud inside. Our waiter acted like we were a bother and we hardly saw her. Will not go here again
The food is always delicious and the service was excellent!
We reserved outdoor seating for 2 but between the time reservation made and time of reservation rain started to pour down. When we arrived it was clear outdoor seating was washed out for the evening. We approached the hostess prepared to scramble to find a new place but the hostess made us feel welcome and found as an indoor table right away. In a world where service has vanished it was really refreshing to be welcomed under less than ideal circumstances.
We ordered a special mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer along with some fried calamari. Entrees were veal Saltimbocca and gnocchi. FID was delicious and ambiance had a nice feel of a special neighborhood restaurant- great experience
Not a great experience. Much better restaurants in the area.
Not as good as it once was before, the service was good but everything else was subpar for a North End restaurant.
A wonderful "North End" experience while in Boston! Our waitress was amazing and the food delicious!
The food was not good enough for the price it was very mediocre and I would not return
We were very disappointed with this restaurant. Just ordinary, sitting among many terrific restaurants. Very noisy, food only average and service slow.
We had a group of 8 people and the staff was very good about organizing everything for us. Food was great.
Excellent experience. Very good food. Great service . Beautiful ambiance
Very nice authentic Italian. Everything we ordered was perfect.. including our drinks. Very very good! We will be going back to try more dishes. Carlito was a wonderful server. He made sure we had everything we needed. What a great time we had. If you are lucky enough to get a visit from Frank.. we’ll he made the night even better. Fun night! Great atmosphere!
