Fried calamari served with marinara dipping sauce
Melone con Prosciutto
Fresh melon wrapped with prosciutto
Amazing family owned Italian restaurant. Same owner for 45 years! Like going to Nonna’s for dinner!
Our waitress was accurate but abrupt. No casual conversation and while requests were met - it was with "obligation" . Our appetizer was amazing and my husbands dinner was delicious. Mine was so so ... The manager was very sincere though, listened to our concerns and apologetic. Would still recommend.
A family favorite, can’t go wrong in the North End but this place is just special! Excellent food and atmosphere - a must stop every trip back home to New England.
Food was excellent and service was good. Place was extremely busy.
We were originally sat in the basement, but it was so hot and stuffy so we requested to move outside. They were ver accommodating and moved us outside where the ambience was beautiful. The food was also delicious and the front of house were the stars. They were definitely short staffed as is most places these days, but they were trying as hard as they could. Highly recommend and will be sure to go back! Neighborhood staple.
Food and service excellent. The noise level was high. The $16.00 house salad was mostly lettuce-not a good value.
The charcuterie special appetizer was delicious. Barratta, eggplant, prosciutto were all fresh and tasted excellent with their fresh bread. Fried calamari was also pretty close to perfect. Gnocci were a bit chewy on the exterior and dry inside - flavors were terrific. Scampi was wonderful.
Food was FANTASTIC - next level delicious - HOWEVER- We were seated downstairs and asked to be moved because it was crowded (yes, I know that’s annoying). Once upstairs, staff did not seem to want to serve our table. Unfortunate.
Great service, but unfortunately the food is quite bland.
Awesome food, great patio seating! Wish they had a little music on in the background, but overall very good.
Lovely outdoor courtyard with great food and service!
The food was really good, but the service was so incredibly bad. The appetizer arrived before our drinks; once our pasta arrived, we had to wait around 10 mins just to get Parmesan cheese; our server was never in sight for us to ask for things. Additionally, halfway through our meal a bunch of the servers were no longer wearing masks. It’s so sad that the restaurant is so beautiful and the food is great, but the servers were horrible.
We had 7:30 Sunday reservations and had to wait 10-15 minutes for our table. When we were seated it just all felt so rushed even though the restaurant was clearly emptying for the evening. We got our food in a timely manner but it seemed they did not want us there. No one ever checked on us for refills or asked about our food. At one point another server removed the condiments from our table because they were cleaning up! The food was fair. Overcooked salmon but the pesto tortellini was fresh and quite good.
It was very nice
Our waitress was sloppy and not attentive. We ordered an appetizer which was never served, gave us an incorrect meal, spilled water all over our table without apologizing, did not return to check on us for a 1/2 hour, and when she did she informed us she gave our check to another table and we now needed to pay their check! It was about the same cost but that’s besides the point. Needless to say she wasn’t tipped. We will not return.
Unfortunately someone took our reservation and we were put downstairs in the corner. Not ideal.
Very disaapointed with my visit to Lucia's. Wanted to give a new restaurant in this area a try but I think it might have been smarter to stick with tradition. Lucia's dining overpriced and bland. For an Italian restaurant I'm willing to pay higher prices for taste, but here it wasn't worth it. The service from the waitress was rushed and rude and she outright spilled my friends drink on our table and carelessly walked away to do other tasks. Will happily not be back. Not worth the visit sadly.
My friends and I come here at least once month! We love the staff and the food portions are great both apps and entrees.
Took my parents here because I loved it the first time around. Disappointed with last evening, the servers barely came over to us, it took 45 minutes to get our pasta dishes. I asked for cheese for my pasta dish and it took the waitress 15 minutes to bring it out (when my dish was gone). I took my parents here because of how great the service and food was the first time around but maybe last evening wasn’t the best.
Went for a dinner with the family and our nephew. Wine selection and cocktail selection were great. THe service and ambiance was nice, as were the menu options. I do have to say that I was disappointed with the food. Everything was watery and didn’t have as much flavor as it should. We ordered more sauce on the side, which they brought out to us with a smile.
Maybe it was on off night with the food or maybe we didn’t order the right things.
Visit to our college freshman. Had to eat in the north end for some good Italian. All 3 of us thought the meal was fine but not above average. Had a reservation but waited 20 mins anyway for a table. Just bust these days I guess. Happy servers but took a very long time to get our food.
Some dishes were good - lasagna and chicken/veal pasta mix. Gnocchi was bland and cold. Took an hour to get our food. Server did not check on us, offer bread or give any status once in that time.
Terrible service. We waited over a half hour for someone to come over to take a drink order, then another half hour to order. Waited at least 45 for the worse food ever. Had chicken mushrooms in a lemon wine sauce over penne. Chicken was not browned as a franchese should be and the wine was not reduced. I drank my meal. Husband had a seafood medley over pasta for 44.00 came cold. Never will go back and will never recommend this place.
Was not a fan of the carbonara or the Italian margarita. The carbonara was very bland and the margarita had way too much lime in it. Our waitress was not very attentive at all.
Restaurant was crowded and not well spaced. Food was not flavorful like most authentic Italian food.
Great North End Restaurant with authenticity and great service!
I can’t say enough about this restaurant. Going there was like going home to your long lost Italian family. We were greeted so warmly and attended to with such kindness and the dinner was a knockout. My husband had the stuffed veal chop - not on the menu, so you have to ask - it’s incredible. My chicken with artichokes was fantastic and everyone else loved their meals. Our server recommended an outstanding wine- not an expensive one at all but amazing. I wish we had more time in town because we’d go back and will for sure do so when we visit again from California!
We seated quickly at our reservation time which has great! Lots of other restaurants in the area had lines out the door, but we didn’t have to wait. The bread was a bit stale and dry. We asked for olive oil to dip. The food and service was solid but not excellent. It was noted on our reservations that we were celebrating a birthday, but nothing was mentioned. All in all, we had a good meal.
Despite making reservations over two months ago we were seated in the basement which did not give the same ambiance that I wanted. Food and service was excellent!!
Very much enjoyed our dinner here. Very friendly service and delicious food and wine. I would go back even though there are so many choices in the North End I’d go back again.
Very good service and food. Our server Ricardo was great.
The food and our waitress were spectacular. She recommended some drinks and food for us and they were spot on. Would definitely come back again.
This was the loudest restaurant I’ve been to. Very difficult to hold conversation. However, food was good and our servers were attentive.
Great food service and ambiance. Loved it.
Spectacular yet homey, for 45 years.
Outstanding food & perfectly mixed cocktails. Very cozy atmosphere and service was on point. By far the best Italian food I’ve had. We will definitely be back & recommend to friends.
Fabulous lunch outside on a lovely day. Inside looked great as well. Can’t wait to go back!
Ive eaten here before and had a fantastic meal which i why i booked again for a special occasion . The food was good but service was not as good this time. Had to chase waiter for silverware and to clear dishes.
Good was very good. Our server, Andres was very helpful and professional. We left our credit card, and Hiba was so nice to call us. A great experience!
Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Experience was excellent.
