About Luceti's on 25th Avenue
A taste of Tuscany and local treasure that is simply delicious. For over three decades, Luceti"s has served Italian cuisine created by world class chef and awarded San Franciscan, Roger Bertola. Founder of the legendary Doro's, Ruggero's and master chef of Fior and the Iron Horse. Mr. Bertola was also the personal chef to generals Eisenhower and Paton. Today, Luceti's owners carry on the same tradition and cuisine that was started by Dr. Ron Luceti in 1984. Luceti's is a great place for private parties and business meetings. Full menu is available at bar.

Luceti's on 25th Avenue Ratings and Reviews
Scallops were terrific as usual. The French onion soup was so lacking flavor which probably confirmed the lack of onions. Thin watery soup. Used to be very good. Will return for scallops meunière but no more onion soup. Would have ordered another scotch but never saw the waitress again.
The only reason I rate the value as poor is because the food was subpar. Granted, it was Thanksgiving and they don't serve turkey year round, but it could have been tastier (especially for $40 . Also, $8 dollars for a rather slim piece of pumpkin pie is just absurd. Service could not have been better though. Will try this again and get Italian food next time.
I eat a Lucetti’s very frequently and enjoy meeting with friends for a wonderful meal. Last Saturday night I enjoyed my dinner very much. The only problem was the service. We were seated nearly one half hour after our reservation time. The dinner service was unusually slow because they were over booked to a very large crowd. The dinner was excellent but service was unusually slow.
Was able to book a last-minute table for 10, and the family dining experience was memorable. The entire party ate gnocchi in pesto sauce for appetizer, also the cioppino as an appetizer with ten bowls so that each person around the table could partake. The atmosphere was fun and convivial, and the service contributed to everyone having a good time. Paired all of the meals with a California sangiovese, it was acceptable but would have preferred an Italian alternative that, regrettably, was not offered.
I shall return.
The acoustics leaves a lot to be desired especially for us Seniors whose hearing is a bit challenged.
No doubt that the atmosphere is very energetic...
We loved our dishes. My husband said it was the best calamari he has had for a long time. I had the Veal Scallopini and the sauce, while rich, was very tasty.
We are frequent diners at this restaurant. When we arrived, I told the hostess it was my husband's birthday. However, while another patron was given dessert with a candle, nothing was done for my husband, which was disappointing.
The restaurant was crowded and service was extremely slow. Perhaps they need to hire more servers. After we asked for the check, we waited a long time before receiving it.
Fortunately, the food was delicious which saved the day.
This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. They offer a very delicious spaghetti and meatballs. It is a small restaurant, but cozy with the white table cloths and red roses on each table. We will definitely go back again to try their other Italian dishes.
I've been to Luceti's a handfull of times and only return because my friends like it. The food is good, but expensive if ordering something other than pasta. The tables are packed into a small space and it's noisy......making it hard to hear conversation. The place was packed on this Friday night so obviously it's popular with the locals. On this occasion I ordered Salmon Piccata with sauteed veggies. I must say it was tasty. My cocktail (a Makers Mark Manhattan), on the other hand, was not made well. Service was particularly slow. More than likely due to the heavy volume of customers. Gave us time to catch up while we digested between courses. Ending on an up note, the flan was delicious!!
Pleasantly surprised. Waitress very helpful. Very personable, as was rest of staff.
Oysters Rockefeller was excellent! Cioppino Friday night special was great.
Martini came out small....Waitress had it filled in moments notice. Thumbs up!
Had 2 at 9 a piece. 3 drinks, Oysters and Cioppino came to $74 and a 18% tip..
Lively place. Will be going back!
Went to Luceti's a few days ago for a bday dinner. We had never been even though we've lived nearby for 10 years! We had a reservation and we were seated after a short wait. We waited a while more before we were given our menus and then it was quite a while before we were brought bread and then we waited even longer for the waiter to take our drink order! It was very busy for a Tuesday night! After all of that waiting, everything else went much smoother. Our appetizers came out quickly as did the food. Everything was delicious! Not a soul complained about their meals. We drank wine, had desert, and overall, had a great experience. I will definitely be back!
Don't get turned off by the slightly tacky appearance of the neighborhood or the lack of parking. Once you walk in the door of Luceti's you'll feel like you just stepped into a restaurant in Italy. The food is authentic Italian, well-presented, and very tasty. Our faves are the calamari appetizer and the calamari steak - both are very tender and far better than the usual quality on the Peninsula. Mangia!
We had a great time! The food was delicious, service was very nice and polite and from the minute we walked in until we left we very happy with the service. We went to celebrate a birthday and brought a cake and they were nice enough to put the candles on, sing, cut the cake and serve it.
