Really uninspired food, dirty silverware, and ridiculous Italian pop music. Never again.
As always superb food, excellent service in a delightful setting. A charming place for a pre or post theatre meal.
LUCE is a good restaurant close to the subway stops and our apartment. The food is always consistently good and the ambiance is okay. It's fun to go to a restaurant where the movie Music & Lyrics was filmed at!
Had another enjoyable meal at one of our favorite local restaurants. Fish is always fresh and nicely prepared. Their salads are enough to share. It is moderately priced for a white table clothed UWS Italian. enjoy!
The food was fantastic as was most of our experience. My only disappointment was that we were 8 minutes late for our reservation and our table was given away! We waited an additional 20 minutes to be seated.
A really comfortable attractive restaurant with reliably good food and service.
Enjoyed dining here! Ambiance was very nice, food was quite good and staff was very accommodating. We came here before going to a movie and we weren’t rushed at all. Thanks
Had grilled salmon...very nicely prepared and presented. Reasonable pricing and for NYC more than reasonable value/quality/portion size. The vegetables were bland at best. They got us in and out very quickly because unfortunately we we had a show to be at.
I would definitely return.
We were running behind schedule and had a 7:30 show at Lincoln Center. The extremely friendly and helpful staff had us on and out in 45 minutes without once feeling rushed, with appetizers and wine. The veal scallopine over porcini mushrooms was perfectly done, as was the fettucine with smoked salmon. A very pleasant experience, we will go back next time with more time to stay and enjoy the neighborhood atmosphere.
Nice restaurant , but I got there at 10:00 and they were rushing me even before I finish eat, but the food is good , the price are acceptable and the ambient really nice
Nice place--quiet, good food, service. Tasty pastas especially and reasonably priced.

Fair service, great food.
Wonderful meal near Lincoln Center. We found the waiter to be quite charming — a nice blend of professionalism and friendliness.
Two of us started with appetizers — the asparagus wrapped in prosciutto with peppers and drizzled with balsamic vinegar was fresh and light with just the right amount of saltiness. A modification of the mussels on the menu, as the person ordering doesn’t eat tomatoes, was perfect.
Main courses ordered were the shrimp and pasta dish, chicken in tomato sauce with pasta, ravioli with mushroom sauce (that was my dish — delicate ravioli in a creamy sauce) and two specials of the night — osso bucco and a pasta dish with vegetables and filet mignon.
Even though we have some picky eaters in our group, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. This is definitely a restaurant we’d return to.
Ate here before the opera Saturday night. Was our first time here and we definitely intend to return. The three of us enjoyed everything we ordered. Pastas were excellent and the chicken Luce was delicious! Tiramisu was excellent. Very nice wine list as well. Look forward to eating there again.
Good Italian food in close proximity to Lincoln Center
The ambiance is poor because of the lighting. Check out your neighboring Italian restaurants: Fiorello’s, Pomodoro, Pappardella. They are much more upbeat. The bread was stale. Had to ask for butter four times. I was given a fork that was totally dirty. Waiter was inattentive. Food was very good; total experience poor.
Service was confused and delayed. Either we got offered two side dishes of the same kind or not brought at all until we asked several times. Too many waiter served the table.
we have frequented this restaurant a few times, but this time the noise level was HIGH and the quality of the food was not as tasty as the last few times. disappointed
