Lucca never disappoints, and is our go-to restaurants when visiting Phipp's or the excellent museums in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh!
Nice cozy corner table, warm and friendly service!
There were three of us and we all enjoyed our meal.
Great risotto loved everything would definitely come back
Recommend to anyone
Went for an early dinner. Met a lovely new waitress and caught up with our most favorite waiter- always impeccable attention to detail from him and a few juicy tidbits of gossip!
We ordered the filet which was done to perfection- very delicious! Can’t wait to go back and sample the cooking genius of the two new cooks- yum!
The beet salad did NOT have fresh beets on it - they were from a can.
Excellent dinner and desserts
Food was good & the waiter was great. Only thing is we were rushed out of our table because there was a reservation for our table. But our waiter was very nice & food was great!
While the food was good the appearance and the furniture were a bit shabby. Peeling leather chairs and beat up tables do not portend excellence and tend to "color" expectations before taking the first bite. Also in need of new menus, including dessert.
Enjoyed the filet special. The calamari was tasty. The pasta was fresh and we all enjoyed our meals.
Good service and great food!
Went to dinner with a friend and had such a wonderful experience here! The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back.
I noticed a bathroom odor on the first floor. It was quite distinct. The food was okay unfortunately not the greatest.
Wonderful meal and service—second time in a few weeks and will be back!
The food was really good, as usual, and so was the salad and the wine. It is a nice intimate atmosphere, too.
Great food. Always consistent.
Didn’t love the cocktails. Maybe wine is the way to go here.
Everything was just okay. The restaurant smelled like a dirty rag and wasn't very clean. The food was decent, but did not impress this Italian.
This was our first time going there as we are not from Pittsburgh. It was for my wife's birthday and it was outstanding. From the food to the service, all wonderful. Great restaurant with great food, service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend anyone to go there!!!
Along with great food and beverages ,our server ,Joy, made the evening fantastic.
5 meals came out together and we had to wait almost 10 minutes for the 6th meal. Some of the originals 5 meals were warm but not hot.
Disappointing compared to last time
Amazing service and delicious food!! I had the short rib risotto and my husband had gf Bolognese.
I ordered wedding soup and eggplant parmigiana at lunch. The wedding soup was so salty I couldn’t eat it plus it tasted like it had been reheated more than once. The eggplant was not cooked enough and was hard to cut even with a knife. My friend had chicken piccata which she said was ok. Plus when we asked for bread, we were told bread is no longer served at lunch.
The wait staff was very accommodating. Stick to the pasta dishes.
Great time and great food.
It was fine, though a little rougher around the edges than I remember. A pandemic will do that.
Arrived early. Very accommodating.
Great service and delicious entrees.
The service was great!
Food was good but nothing stood out as out of the ordinary.
Overall the food was good but not The wow i would expect from a place like this.
Visited on a quiet Sunday around 4 Pm. Pasta unfortunately was too hard, 4 out of 5 guests had pasta and all felt it was too chewy, my eggplant was overdone and needed a knife to cut it. One guest had Risotto dish that she thought was very good. Service was attentive , atmosphere pleasant. Overpriced and disappointed in pasta entrees.
Great food and service! I definitely will return...
It was just okay. I ordered the arugula salad with roasted beets, cranberries, goat cheese and pepitas. I got a pile of arugula with uncooked cranberries (yes they were raw) 5 slices of jarred beets and a light barely noticeable sprinkle of goat cheese. I mentioned the raw cranberries and missing pepitas to the waitress. She did bring some pepitas out but had nothing to say otherwise. My chciken piccata was decent. The chicken was cooked nicely but there wasn’t a single asparagus top, not one, all stalks. Also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts which never came. At that point though I didn’t care. My expectations weren’t very high and I didn’t care to be disappointed again. My husband got the rigatoni fruit de mar. $30 for I think 3 shrimp 2 scallops and two little chunks of crab. Way too much seafood stock in the sauce. The pasta was cooked well which, combined with the cook on the chicken was the saving grace. Our waitress was also just okay. Not very knowledgeable, no eye contact and after I said something about the salad She basically wrote me off as a jerk. We won’t be back and I’m sad to say that.
Always an amazing experience every time we dine here!! Dustin is the absolute best!
We have never left disappointed. Food is exceptional!
My wife has been before but this was my first time. Wonderful experience and food, service was kind and efficient.
Food was decent, but pricey. Service was decent. There are much better Italian places in Pittsburgh though.
The waitress was so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent as was the wine. The whole experience was excellent and enjoyable. Will definitely come back!
Had dinner with a friend and enjoyed a delicious, hearty bolognese with house made tagliatelle. The bread was exceptional and that was great because I like to dab up leftover sauce. Three things kept me from a five star review. 1) the chair I was sitting in was quite creaky and crammed into an alcove near the bar. 2. I had to ask for some Parmesan cheese 3. I felt a little rushed at the end of the meal. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded at the time we dined — which was a bit early — and there were no patrons waiting to be seated. When I said i wasn’t yet finished, the server was gracious and friendly. I will come back and next time, and I will be more assertive about the seating.
Quick lunch before going to the museum. Restaurant was nothing to look at. Some of the chairs very worn. Service was pretty good.
We shared on Bowl of the Italian wedding soup. It was excellent but not served warm enough. We both had the Chicken Piccata and I thought is was pretty good while my wife loved it. I had a cup of coffee and it was excellent in terms of flavor but again served lukewarm.
I normally don’t respond, but the salad had so much dressing it was inedible. The cannoli was not great and the Chicken Picatta with peppers over pasta was “interesting”. I like Luca, but this was disappointing.
The food was excellent
Our server Kyle was very friendly and took care of everyone.
Made INSIDE reservations 6 weeks in advance. Received call 3 hours prior to our visit, we were moved to outside (in December) seating due to a large party. Freezing cold even with two heaters (eight may have helped). No free cocktail offers, asked for manager, never came to see us, said no to free cocktails but never appeared or too afraid to. Left, never ate, never will.. BUT will tell everyone never to go there..
