   Awful service. We arrived just after 4:00 on Sunday. Despite a largely empty dining room, e were seated at a table with very ti hh t seating. The waiter told us "no substitutions" when we didn't ask for any. When our oil crust leaked, I tried to ask him for a new one one, but he interrupted me with his "no substitutions refrain. It took over 45 minutes to get our entrees. Food was just ok (note oo the chef: chicken filets in chicken piccata are usually rounded somewhat thin. Waited a long time to get our check, despite many waiters and a light crowd. Dine elsewhere. Lucca does not wan your business!

   We all had pasta dishes. And all felt it was good, but nothing spectacular. Portions aren't very large. No bread or grated Parmesan cheese given or offered. I had expected something more noteworthy for the price.

   Service overshadowed the food in a very bad way. Worst service I've experienced in my life. Waitress spilled water while pouring. She passed our table 5 times before I had to remind her about the water on the table. We ordered drinks and again, I had to remind her about the drinks we ordered. I ordered meatballs for an appetizer, a half of spinach salad and for the main course, seafood risetto. Waitress brought everything out at the same time and it was no longer hot.

   Service was terrible. It was not crowded but server wasn’t very attentive. Food was good but not amazing. I thought the prices were really good.

   The service was good, and most of the dishes were wonderful. Unfortunately, the tagliatelle was not prepared properly . It came clump together and very tough.

   We wanted to like it, really we did. We were excited to hear everything was from scratch. But… …the calamari was good that would order it again, but the portion was small. …the romaine in the Caesar Salad was less than crisp… …and it took over an hour to get our entrees although other tables received their entrees much more quickly. The mushroom ravioli was the best; the rest was somewhat less than expected for “from scratch”. The food took so long we could not sample the desserts. If we found ourselves back in Pittsburgh we might try it again. I really want it to be better than our experience.

   We were welcomed and brought to our table outside and I was very excited about the food. Unfortunately the Bread was old, to start. I had chicken parm with pasta and the spaghetti it came with, were so hard I thought there was another piece of chicken underneath. I’m Italian and I eat pasta ‘al dente’: that was raw pasta cooked in advance and warmed up before served. It was impossible to eat. The chicken was very dry even with the sauce on top and burnt on the side. My son had the pappardelle Bolognese and had the same issue with the pasta. My husband had the mushroom ravioli and he enjoyed his plate very much. We also had the burrata as an appetizer and that was well prepared and abundant for an appetizer. The service was great as well.

   We had a wonderful dinner last evening at Lucca. Our server, Amber, was terrific and she made great suggestions that were very helpful. My wife had a huge caprice, chicken pasta that was delicious and my salmon was perfectly cooked. The highlight of the evening was a berry tiramisu. We will definitely come back
