Lucca Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
A very disruptive man was being billigerent and constantly disrupted my dinner and other around by asking our table to take photos of him. The staff was well aware however failed to escort him out of the building and only said to me, “thank you for putting up with him.” I don’t get paid to deal with rude customers, I was only trying to enjoy a nice dinner.
I was there with reservations, but many were not. There was an event nearby and the restaurant did not know about it, so they were suddenly lined out the door with customers. They handled it well. Everyone was seated quickly and diners were all accommodated quickly as well. I was impressed. And my service was just as good. The restaurant stood up to the sudden rush with grace and good will.
I had high hopes for this place. They not only put us in the back of the restaurant but quickly forgot about us. The "flatbread" is a flour tortilla with cheese on it. The Sangria was red wine and limes and I'd give you a review on the dessert but the waitress gave us the dessert menu and forgot to come back. After 10 minutes with empty drinks and a cleared table we decided find someone to pay our bill with and left.
Not the same place it was in the past 3 - 5 years! I use to love this place...but this Thursday night.. service was horrible! I actually had to go to the bar for our 2 glasses of wine because the waiter forgot about them. He was hard to find until the check was requested. The food was just average. I had the shrimp & pasta and she had pappardelle. Although it came out in timely fashion it was fairly bland and a little over cooked.
We have come here a couple times in the past year and both times the service was less than average. This time it was terrible! Plus it was noisey and felt rushed ...just not a comfortable experience for $$. Too many other good restaurants in the area so,.... I can not recommend this place anymore.
The roasted chicken risotto was fabulous! My husband was disappointed in the short ribs, meat was tender but the sauce lacked much flavor. Server forgot to bring us bread but when we asked for it, she apologized. She was very friendly, had a great smile! Definitely will go back!!
Very disappointed with service. Had excellent food and service a month ago, so I wanted to bring my husband. Had to ask for water and then remind the waiter again when he didn’t bring it. Bread was brought to every other table but ours. Felt very rushed by waiter who did not tell us the specials and we had to ask. Waiter took our left overs to box and then stopped at the table next to us and got their plate to box as well. He then carried them past a waitress who unknowingly whipped her long ponytail over the plates the waiter was carrying uhg! Needless to say, my husband was NOT impressed and Unfortunately, not with worth the drive from Lodi.
Excellent Restaurant. I have been going here since it opened and its consistency of professional service and delicious food across the board is a benchmark of its popularity. This one time my service was less than the usual standards of professionalism and friendliness. I chalked it up to a possible miscommunication and/or to that server having a bad day. I will definitely be back.
The food was great and our waitperson did the best they could. We went to dinner before a concert. We had a reservation and were seated outside. Not what I was expecting with a reservation. I took over 30 minutes to get a cocktail and over an hour to get our food. We ordered our food when we ordered drinks. We had to wolf our dinners down to get to the concert on time. The restaurant was not staffed to handle a pre-concert crowd.
Our party of four arrived at the restaurant on time for a 6:15 p.m. reservation. We were seated promptly in the "mirror room," which the least impressive part of the restaurant. Although we placed our order by 6:30, the food did not arrive until 7:55 - an hour and 25 minutes later! When we arrived we told our server we were attending an 8 p.m. concert nearby. Needless to say, we missed the beginning of the concert -- and were stressed as we watched the clock waiting for our food. The food was good, but not worth the wait. To its credit, the restaurant reduced our bill. The server told us the bill was reduced by 50%, but in fact it was reduced by only $50 (much less than 50% of our bill).
