   Whenever we use Lucca we find the staff so friendly and helpful, and the wide range of freshly prepared Italian food just wonderful. Despite usually being busy, the staff make time to 'look after' you and make sure that everything you need is there for you.

   We had a great time there as always - this is our favourite restaurant and has been for several years! The atmosphere was lively and fun and the staff gave us a warm welcome. The service was particularly good on Saturday even though it was really busy and the food was great as always, simple but delicious - thank you Lucca!

   Once again a delicious meal at Lucca. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Lucca is cosy and welcoming, it is unpretentious yet the standard of food is consistently excellent. It is always a pleasure to dine at this restaurant, whether with my partner, friends or my young daughter, I always come away satisfied and looking forward to the next visit.

   My husband and I love this place! We booked a table for Valentine's Day and the service was wonderful. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff was friendly and there wasn't a long wait for the delicious food. They were very helpful in getting a high chair and bringing out our toddler's meal as soon as it was ready, so she didn't have to wait long. We also requested a table downstairs, as my husband has mobility difficulties. They provided us a great table, not far from the door and no steps required and plenty of room to store his walking sticks. I would recommend Lucca to my friends and family, anytime.

   Excellent meal good starter plate of cold meats and bread and then pasta and pizza of the day for our party of 4. Good service and at the end of meal the staff still had time to let us have quick inspection and talk through the workings of the wood burning oven. All made for enjoyable evening. Restaurant was busy on Sunday evening and we will visit again soon.

   We booked for a Friday night having heard of it as we very much like the Mistley Thorn which is another of their food outlets. Ambience was good and restaurant is so much bigger than it looks from the front. We were seated and served promptly (we had an early sitting). The shared platter starter was good, it was one of our pizzas which let the side down. Husband just didn't like his, far too salty and he left a third of his. Mine was ok my daughter didn't like her base (I realise these are cooked in a wood oven). Decided against dessert, at over £5 for ice-cream we thought the dessert prices steep - my daughter was ordering from the children's set menu so was served the vanilla ice-cream she had requested. It was just that, one scoop of vanilla, no fruit, wafer or coulis - she was disappointed. We happened to know the party on the next table who were seated before us however, we were served our starters before them (they asked if we'd pre ordered). We watched as they were served their mains - there was over a five minute delay from the first main being served and the last person having theirs put in front of them - not good - there were only 7 of them. Would we go again? I don't think so which is a shame as we much prefer to support independent businesses however we shall return to the Mistley Thorn.

   This was my first visit to Lucca Enoteca and certainly won't be my last. I took my sister for lunch as a birthday treat on Saturday 2nd January and immediately felt comfortable with the lovely atmosphere. The staff were all extremely friendly and attentive and there was a steady flow of happy customers dining there ranging from couples, young families and larger groups. The service was prompt without being rushed and the food was excellent. The mushroom starter was delicious and the pizza was the best i've ever eaten! An absolute must for all diners and especially pizza lovers.

   We have previously eaten at Lucca a number of times and always been very impressed. This time was very different, for a number of reasons. Prices have gone up - £6.30 for an Aperol Spritz cocktail is ridiculous considering the price in central London is below £6. Worse than that, both were made using slightly flat Prosecco! Prawn/Calamari starter had only two prawns and was overwhelmed by the calamari - it was also pretty bland. Mussels starter tasted really odd. Pizza main course and desert were really good as usual. Service was poor with salads ordered as starters not arriving and having to be asked for. Also other items being forgotten eg coffees and again having to be asked for. We were a large family group and on the day it didn't seem worth complaining as overall the meal was just about acceptable. However, it certainly didn't delight and was a lot of money for an average experience.

   We visited Lucca for our staff Christmas meal. They were very accommodating to our party's size and needs and the food was excellent.

    I eat here regularly but have not written a review in the past. I am usually accompanied by my six year old daughter when visiting. She loves the food from the kids menu and the fact she is always given crayons and a colouring sheet to occupy her creative mind between courses. I like the range of authentic Italian dishes on offer, the pizza and pasta dishes are always delicious and made using high quality ingredients. Desserts are good and include a mix of English and Italian. This place has a laid back vibe but the service is always friendly and attentive. I thoroughly recommend to all lovers of Italian food.
