I have been to Lucca three times previously and I have to see this is one of my favorites when visiting Boston. They are always consistent and the food has always been delicious. They have a very unique menu for those you enjoy branching out.
The service was wonderful! The food was flavorful and well done!
Would completly return to Lucca again.
The food was absolutely phenomenal and our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. A great experience!
Excellent food - good service. Quite noisy.
Lucca Back Bay did not disappoint!! Having frequented their location in the North End I was very excited to experience their Back Bay location and it was very impressive. They satisfied and satiated our party of 6 which is no small fete since our tastes are decidedly different. Service impeccable, food outstanding and overall an excellent experience.
We ate at Lucca's the night before the Boston Marathon and the food was delicious, the service terrific and it was so well located. We would recommend and hope to return!
We ate here the night before the Boston marathon. A little fancier than we expected, but delicious!!
I ran the Boston Marathon...so of course I wanted a nice pasta dinner the night before the race...and my wife and I had a great meal at Lucca Back Bay. Excellent food! They had a special runner’s pasta dish (baked ziti with egg and chicken added for protein). Definitely recommend this restaurant.
High ceilings, linen table cloths, plenty of attention from service staff makes the evening feel a bit more special than a casual dinner. I so appreciate that you can actually have a conversation with your dinner guests here. Excellent Italian food that isn't too heavy.
Service was awful. Oysters were really good. I had the rack of lamb, that was ok but the sides that came with it were not tasteful and the presentation was not up to par. For a $50+ meal not impressed with Lucca Back Bay. Won’t go again
Once again a fabulous meal at Lucca Back Bay, even in the very busy marathon weekend, very accommodating, the service is top notch and the food is devine! Highly recommend the spicy shrimp linguini.
I appreciate that they serve late at night but the service was odd, the champagne was warm, and the food was not very tasty.
Lucca Back Bay is great! I was there with a big group for a bachelorette dinner - about 12 girls. Our food was outstanding, our server was VERY patient with all of our requests, we had a perfect table on the second level. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend this place!
Always a reliable choice with well cooked and presented, tasty food and pleasant professional service. the best in the Symphony area
Our dining experience was exceptional. From the valet upon arrival, to coat check, to the waiter and hostess, the service could not have been better. The food was delivered with appropriate timing (not delivering the main courses immediately after the appetizer). Our waiter (Cesar ?) was perfect. Just the right amount of attending without coming across too much. We will certainly return. This will probably become our special occasion location. Much appreciated.
Wonderful meal with great service. Highly recommend the tagliatelle with lobster and the scallops. Chocolate hazelnut dessert superb and good to split since very rich. Very nice restaurant with high windows, dark wood, and classy setting. Best meal I had in Boston and would go back if I return to town.
The food was delicious and the mood was calm & inviting, service was great. Prices are about what we expected as the restaurant showed up in the "fine dining" category. dinner and drinks for 2 was about $100. I would definitely go back if i'm in the area again. Got a filet and was one of the best cooked pieces of steak ive gotten from a restaurant in a while. There were two floors, only the bottom was open when we went as it wasn't busy but next time i would like to sit up above.
Did not deliver wine
Charged for wine
Food not so good
Good food and pleasant atmosphere, attentive but not intrusive service. Will come back.
Great service. Welcoming atmosphere and they did not push any high priced or extra items. Really nice place.
The food was really heavy and oily. Did not like it that much
Home-made pasta plates great, liked the gnocchi. Absolutely the most attentive service I've seen in awhile. At least 4 different classes of service people managers kept coming to check we were happy. Lovely Italian choices, but, sniffle, no veal dishes.
We had a table of 7 and we were taken care of efficiently and courteously. Food was delicious and music was not too loud for conversation. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Recommended.
The restaurant was delightful in several ways. Lisa, the charming English Maitre d’Hotel, was most attentive, as was our waitress. The meal was perfectly cooked and presented well. The wine list was ample. In summary, the milieu made for a very pleasant evening.
Food led the experience; very professional wait staff made themselves available with just the right amount of attention & humor
We were not impressed with the service or food.
The staff was very attentive and the location was great. The focus was really on great food.
Excellent food and great wine list.
We come in for Boston Symphony concerts and have tried four or five restaurants in the area of Symphony Hall. Coming back to Lucca now after a couple of years we've realized it's definitely the best.
Service was excellent. The food had so many different levels of flavor. We were greeted pleasantly which set the tone for the rest of the evening. Fine dining but not stuffy.
We had a fine meal, and fine rapid service. We would have rated it even higher, if it were quieter.
Meal was outstanding! Service was exceptional! I am guessing that the person attending to us is a professional and thus is a side job. The waiter’s service skills were notable, memorable, and outstanding! Give this man a raise, a promotion, and an excellent reference so he can use these skills at a higher level. Wish I had asked his name...might be S Asian descent? Was attending tables in center of dining room...was so glad I changed reservation to Lucca’s! Almost went to Brasserie Jo.
Food was excellent. Our waiter was more interested in pushing his likes rather than what we wanted to eat
Awesome restaurant with fabulous food and service.
Will definitely return— hopefully soon!
The food was good and the service from Caesar was excellent. The hostess was also vey pleasant and helpful.
It was a Wednesday night w/a snowstorm so the place was not crowded. We sat in the bar area so it would be livelier. There was a small party in the bar that was being obnoxious. (Not the restaurant's fault.) A group of about 6 people hovered over our tall table screaming so we had to move. We moved to a corner booth up front in the bar area and it was freezing. It got to the point where I was shivering but since it was a business meeting and I had already asked to move once, I didn't ask again. They need to get the heating checked out by the windows!
We had an excellent Mother, daughter dinner, food was excellent, service was perfect. I can say absolutely nothing negative.
We last ate at Lucca in the North End about 5 years ago. Had dinner the other night at the Huntington street location next to the Marriott Copley Square. Great location and very convenient. Have to say it was one of the best restaurants we've ever been to. Food was unbelievable, service great, not to expensive, and atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend it!
Lucca delivered a wonderful experience. We went there before a concert at Symphony Hall and enjoyed delicious food and ambiance. Service was impeccable!
