Lucca Back Bay
Book your next event with us
I planned a corporate group dinner at Lucca Back Bay that was held last night. Unfortunately we were not quick enough to book the private party room however Natasha, the Operations & Events Manager, was able to arrange for our group to be seated together comfortably and was very patient with me as our headcount kept evolving even up to the day of the dinner. To top that off I was thrilled to open emails from my bosses this morning raving about the success of the dinner (the restaurant choice, the table arrangement and the food). Everyone had a great time! Bravo to Natasha and the Lucca Back Bay staff!
En general todo estuvo bastante bien aunque en nuestra opinión el servicio un poco lento y la comida demasiado especiada pero entendemos que acorde con la forma de cocinar aquí
Lucca is elegant and the food is excellent- very unusual combinations and fusion for example my Halibut steak had spicy popcorn sprinkled but was outstanding. Service good, quiet and nice location near Copley. Slightly pricy but so is everything in that area.
Very good meal, we had a great time. We have eaten numerous times at Lucca North End, first time here (in its current incarnation...we ate here when it was Sasso, Ambrosia & Blackfin:)). Definitely recommend. Beautiful space.
We love that there is a North End option in Back Bay (albeit at Back Bay prices). The food is great and Lucca's is very accommodating on special requests.
Dinner was truly exceptional! Everything we had was delicious and Cesar's service was outstanding! Highly recommend!!!
Exceptional pasta, calamari dessert and extensive wine list.
Really enjoyed the entire experience. The food was great, the staff was knowledgeable and the atmosphere was just right for a quiet dinner.
One of our favorite restaurants in Boston
Food is fine and atmosphere is really good...but not good enough to justify the prices. I know it’s in Back Bay, but really overpriced for what you get.
Great food and service. A great place to go for Restaurant Week.
Great Atmosphere and terrific food.
The hostess, Lisa, is welcoming. Waitress was delightful.
Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
Excellent service and food. Our server was very attentive. The menu offered many dishes that it was difficult to choose but our choices of the rigatoni and linguine was perfect. Both excellent. Will be back next time in Boston.
Long gone are the days where great service is found. However, we found a restaurant that not only had exceptional food but the service was outstanding as well! We had the front entrance door opened for us where we were warmly welcomed by, I am assuming, the managers. We were promptly seated. The ambiance was very nice and warm. The food was creative and absolutely delicious!! The chef has an incredible creative sense of textures and spices to make any ordinary dish, extraordinary. I had a halibut special over creamed corn with, yes this is true, spicy popcorn. It was fabulous! The flavors and textures all seemed to compliment one another. Great selection of wines and cocktails and dessert was excellent.
We had a wonderful meal amidst a friendly and attentive waitstaff. Would highly recommend if you like great food. A little pricy but at least you feel like you got a fabulous meal for your $$$.
Our first visit to a Lucca on the recommendations of a family member. Turned out great and my wife and I were extremely happy with the choice. Will visit again.
Great food, friendly and efficient service
Rigatoni was a bit too salty
Service was surprisingly slow and inattentive given that the restaurant was nearly empty
Food was good! Service was adequate. Brought a dirty decanter for the wine to the table, so we sent that back and asked for a clean one. Have been here a number of times, and this time it was not as good as previous visits.
Food is good. It’s a comfortable restaurant at a convenient location.
Drinks were fabulous. All the pastas were amazing especially the one with lobster! Brownie with espresso ice cream was decadent. Service was very attentive. Everything was so good we went back 2 night later!
Good food, nice atmosphere,
Only complaint was the fly in the drink and then they didn’t comp the drink!
This place always is just right, 2 at the bar for informal dinner or large special occasion in the main dining room. The food is always well prepared, the menu is innovative and yet safe for a variety of preferences., The staff is very professional and friendly. One of our favorites!
Excellent menu! Had a hard time choosing between so many delicious sounding options! Sister-in-law and I split the beet salad, lamb carpaccio, mussels, and squid as well as lobster pasta - all exceptional - well seasoned - beautifully presented- good portion size. Dessert menu looked amazing, but positively no room. Total bill higher than I normally spend, but only because I don’t frequent this caliber restaurant- it’s a treat - and one to which I would happily return. Back Bay locale made it convenient for post work dinner. Great restaurant - beautifully decorated- high ceilings meant private conversations even in full restaurant- service was knowledgeable and attentive, yet discreet .
Loved Lucca and will return!
We totally enjoyed the food and we would repeat for occasions with friends when looking for a place where you can talk and laugh...
A lovely upper scale Italian restaurant. The food was cooked to perfection, and our waiter was impeccable. Highly recommend for a celebration that deserves a bit of a higher price point. The price is certainly worth it.
We had a lovely time at Lucca Back Bay. It was wonderful; food was impeccable. Our only criticism is the the menu is too limited.
This restaurant can always be counted on to deliver high quality food and great service. Their oyster preparation is special and the tagliatelle never disappoints!
It's been a year since we visited Lucca Back Bay and although the greeting and friendly staff seemed unchanged, the food quality was very poor. Everything was either over seasoned or of general poor quality. The Sulami appetizer was made up of poor quality meats and the accompaniments were best described as jar variety supermarket quality products.
One of our favorite places for dinner. Lisa is outstanding!
The resturant was very nice and the wait staff were great. I got the rigatoni and it was amazing! Highly recommend.
My wife and I had 9:15pm reservations this past Tuesday night. We were very impressed with our Justin, who was our waiter. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and he made us feel welcomed. It is evident that the Lucca has high standards for the appearance of the restaurant regardless of the time of day. We also liked that the TV’s were only at the bar.
The food was incredible! We had mussels and burrata for appetizers; rigatoni and linguini for entrees. The food was fresh and had the perfect amount of seasoning. We will certainly make another visit. I highly recommend Lucca Back Bay if you are looking for a quiet, clean restaurant with good food!
Good food. Service is excellent!
I've been to Lucca several times and it never disappoints. The food is as good as it is creative, servers are attentive and informative, and the room is lovely. A bit overpriced, but to be honest, it's the best restaurant in its class for the area.
Very pretty interior, excellent food, good service. It was a last-minute decision because it was close to the hotel but we were very pleased with the experience and I would recommend it.
Great service. Wonderful food. Good wine. All around good experience.
After the wedding party, wonderful dinner with my niece and her husband.
The good was overpriced and not good. I had the linguini. It was spicy and rather dry. My wife shared it and has the same reaction. Can't you do a simply linguini in clam sauce for $20 and call it a day. I can do a better job at home than what I had. My part of 3 also didn't seem to like what they ordered. I suggest a new chef and keeping it very simple.
Nice place, 2 of the three meals were fantastic . One, the fish was dry and cold. The service was excellent.
This was our first visit to Lucca, and we've been enjoying the experience for days since then. The service was excellent, but the food and the beverages were even better. One always hopes that a fine restaurant will provide you with new taste experiences - like the lamb carpaccio appetizer. But when a common coastal dish, like seared sea scallops, not only respects the freshness and sweetness of the "meat" itself, but also enhances it such with seasonings and accompaniments then the choice seems like a "discovery." Although we no longer travel to Boston as often as we used to, we'll certainly put Lucca at the top of our dining list the next time we return.
