Absolutely wonderful food and wonderful atmosphere. The food was so fresh and so delicious. It tasted like something your mother made! We will definitely be back!
Great food and service- we needed a phone charger, and they even accommodated that, too! The short ribs were amazing, and the scallops were divine. Would go there again. And again.
Food was great. Service was equally great. If we return to St Louis this will be on our list of of must eats.
First time at this awesome restaurant. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. The ambience was relaxing. We are from Chattanooga and WILL BE BACK!!!
All five of us enjoyed our meals. My chopped salad with grilled chicken was the best I have ever had. Wonderful service and I look forward to go back for dinner.
Great food! Great service.
The food was exceptional. The waiter was good even though he forgot 1 of my sides. I thought the meal for 4 people was overpriced! ($280.00) Our steaks were cooked to our liking, but was lacking flavor.
Great time and great service at Lucas Park Grille. Had a group of 8 and food and service were appreciated by all. Wine kept flowing and dessert was excellent too. Will be back...
My husband and i were traveling to St. Louis to visit our SLU student son. We’ve been on a clean eating program, and wanted to find a great restaurant that could meet our needs. This was a great find! We each had a different kale based salad. I know- doesn’t sound enticing; not the kinds of things we used to order- but they were excellent. Ordered tea and got an array of options plus extra hot water without asking. We plan to come back every time we are in town.
The food was great. Service was awesome. I recommend to all friends.
The service, food and other staff were great which made the whole dining experience amazing.
Hadn’t been in quite some time, and happy to say it’s still a great place to go! Some say it’s a bit pricey, but the overall experience and atmosphere make it well worth it!
Staff was very courteous. Food was delicious, unique but not overwhelming or pretentious. Will come back when we’re in St Louis.
Great location. Delicious tastes. Comfortable atmosphere. This place is perfect for a date night, other celebration, or night on the town! It has definitely made my list of favorites in St. Louis!
We had the most amazing evening at Lucas Park! Very neat and attractive building and decor, very welcoming and attentive at the door, the service was great, we asked for a quiet table to celebrate valentines a little early (eve of Mardi Gras ha!). I had to try the house salad, it’s one of my favorite kind, it was delicious! Loved it! My husband had their crab cakes and was pleasantly surprised at the unique fusion flavor. I had the filet with port wine reduction, it was very good, cooked exactly as requested, sides we also very good. My husband had ribeye and he was equally as pleased. Our server was a pro, they checked on us, took good care while giving us quiet time we wanted. Really can’t say enough nice things. Must try if you haven’t been!
Great service & delicious food. Highly recommend the short rib.
On a busy Saturday night, we went for a pre-show bite to eat. I want to thank everyone from the manager who nicely sat us in a quiet corner to the waiter who was attentive and got us our meals quickly. We had enough time to enough our food and still make the show with plenty of time. I never knew LPG had a quieter back room and was thankful to be seated there! Great service and good food... as season ticket holders, we will be back again. Thank you for a nice dining experience.
The food was very good. The rest of the restaurant seemed pretty loud. There were number of large parties and a variety of seating styles - hi-tops, regular tables, booths. My only complaint is that we had a reservation and yet we were originally seated directly in front of the kitchen door (why do they even have a table there?!). We asked to move, and we were seated one table over - better. But we were in a dark corner with three other tables. The others were both empty for most of the night. Three different parties turned down the same table. It was fine, but we just felt like we were off in some forgotten leper colony. It was quiet, which was nice and the manager was super nice. He stopped by to check on us and offered us a free dessert (we never said anything about the table.)
Lucas Park grill never disappoints. This was my 5th visit with friends and everything was on point. Great service, venue and food!
Awesome Place. Good food and good service, had great options
Service was excellent, food very well cooked and flavorful.
This was disappointing from the door to desert. Not a disaster, but disappointing. Host staff was disorganized and not welcoming. Server stepped in and got us to our table.
First disappointment was completely different menu than posted online at Open Table. Almost a completely different concept. Several inviting vegetarian options online: zero on menu. We had a superfood salad and a modified Scallop pasta with no bacon. Salad was good, Scallops were way too salty, and not very good. Nutella crunch bar desert was difficult to eat (frozen?) And the white chocolate "mousse" was chalky and bland.
Service was good, but we had to grin and bear it when asked how things were tasting, etc.
The glass of wine was very good and the extensive wine list is worth noting for oenophiles.
Food was cold. Service was very slow. I watched a bouncer remove an unresponsive girl who had been drinking outside the door in the cold. I was concerned about her health, but this restaurant was only concerned about their liability. Shameful. I will never return.
Ladies night including a show at the Fox Theater, so we were all dressed up and felt Lucas Park was the perfect place for dinner. The food was amazing and the service matched! It was a little pricey, but worth every penny!
Very quiet. Couldn't get reservations the week before but this week we were practically the only ones there. Not complaining...it was nice for us.
Amazing dinner on Saturday night, love the menu selections from small plates to larger entrees. We arrived early and enjoy drinks with appetizers at the bar, great selection of wine. Then moved to a great table in the main dining room for an amazing dinner. Menu is very diverse, offering numerous of gluten free options (which was important to us), service was great and the food did not disappoint. Can not wait to go back again, many things on the menu left to try. Don't miss Lucas Park.
Went here to celebrate my sister's and brother's birthdays. Their dessert menu was a bit disappointing (we aren't gooey butter cake fans). The service was good as was the food.
Great food and atmosphere! Had the salmon, delicious! Martinis were also great. Our waiter was wonderful. Manager stopped by our table to check in. Great dining experience. Will definitely return!
One of my guests said it was the best steak he'd ever had. A good comment from a Nebraska guy in the middle of beef country.
Lucas Park Grill was pretty much empty at dinner time. The food was good but not exceptional.
Whenever we stay in downtown St. Louis we make one of our dinners at Lucas Park Grill. Perfect menu size and offering that changes just often enough. Always have a wonderful dinning experience when we go there. Inside or out the atmosphere is always appreciated and the service has always been great. Highly recommend!
Was in town for my daughters cheer competition. Had never been in St Louis and saw great reviews for dinner. Glad we came. Great food. Nice layout. Great service.
Last minute reservation for my family. So glad we chose Lucas Park! The food and service were fantastic. Definitely recommend for a business meeting or date/special occasion.
We had two large dinners and were not easy patrons -- lots of late arrivals and questions -- but the staff were wonderful. They accommodated everyone and even produced a burger for a guest with a picky palette.
5 friends went before Lady Gaga. We had a bunch of apps and drinks. Our server was very accommodating and efficient. She did a great job getting us taken care of and on our way. We’ll go back!
I like LPG for business meals because we can walk from work and eating a little early it's rarely crowded. Service is always excellent and attentive, but not over bearing which is the sign of experienced servers and appreciated. The food choices and variety are excellent. Delicious and interesting appetizers, too. Recommended!
Went with a friend and found a revamped menu, I had a rib-eye as I do semi-regularly, my friend had the pork shank and the meat fell off the bone...I'll have that next time. Both very flavorful. A great restaurant downtown near convention center and hockey.
Friday night at 7:30pm so it was pretty busy and noisy. We were placed at a table by the bar with a bunch of TVs so there was a lot of distraction which I am not fond. There was no other place so we sat there. Freezing cold night in Saint Louis and we had reservations. Service was prompt and pleasant. Our server, Michael, was quick with our drinks. Nice menu, but when I looked at the menu on line it was their summer menu and now they on onto the Fall menu, so nothing I planned on having was available. Call ahead and I will send a note to the restaurant. To be honest it did not matter. Several excellent choice from appetizers to salads to entrees to dessert. Extensive wine list as well. Pork belly and soup appetizers and elk chop and large house salad were very nice. Nice size servings. Really enjoyed ourselves. It was loud, but not boisterous and we could easily carry on a conversation even though we were feet from the bar. I would not hesitate to return and highly recommend while in the Washington Avenue area or if you are a local as we are, nice before the Blues or Cardinals or the theater or symphony.
Location is good for a date. Bar is spectacular when you first walk in. there was a speed-dating event when we dined here. Definitely was the reason for the review. The food was fun and interesting.
Great dinning experience, food and service, outstanding.
