Luca Bella Fine Foods Ratings and Reviews
This was my first visit to Luca Bella and I will certainly return. It is quiet and relaxing with a gracious staff and delicious food. I wanted a place for a quiet discussion with a friend and this is perfect for that. I do recommend the place in Glendora highly.
Have had dinner there a few times in the past. This was the first time there for brunch! Outstanding! Three flavors of mimosas. The chicken sausage was very flavorful, without being overpowering. Great blend with the pancakes. Very large portions. Took half home for the next day. Love this place!
Brought friends there for the first time; they all loved the food. I have eaten lunch there before several times but this was my first dinner experience. I found it to be a bit noisy. Two members of my group preferred gluten-free alternatives and were thrilled with the entrée choices AND the fact that our server brought them gluten-free breads immediately upon taking their orders. Normally, restaurants take forever to bring out the gluten free items so this was a huge plus for them. The server was great; the food hot and delicious and prompt.
Met a friend for dinner on a Wednesday night. No crowd, got right in. Split a salad, which was plenty for two women and we shared the cheese and fruit plate. Both were delicious! Also, they were having a bottle wine sale. Enjoyed a bottle of 14 hands merlot for $13! We have now made this our official meeting place when we want to met up for dinner.
The food is beyond good! Makes up for the crazy service this past Sunday. I don't blame the server because I think he was the only one for the entire restaurant. I don't know if s bunch of staff called off, or they were just ill prepared for a busy Sunday brunch scene.
Met a new colleague for lunch, and had a very good conversation with plenty of space and time. Unfortunately the restaurant got slammed and they seemed understaffed; it took about 40 minutes to get my iced tea refilled on a hot, hot, hot day--kind of a bummer. My friend ordered soda water with lime, but they didn't seem to have lime (at least not at first--they came up with one later). My Caprese panini was fine, though a bit dry and low on basil. Overall, though, Luca Bella is a great place with fantastic food and generally good service.
This is the third time we've gone and it seems every time they are understaffed. We waited at the front from 15 minutes even though we made reservations. We sat at our table for about the same amount of time with anyone stopping and asking us if we wanted anything. Finally a bus boy stopped and gave us water. Just not really happy. Not sure we'll go back.
Went for the first time on a Saturday night with reservation at 7:45 PM. It was the evening before Easter Sunday, so that may be why the restaurant was so quiet. Two tables outside had diners as did two or three inside. The ambiance is nice, and the waiter was very informative and helpful in choosing our dishes. Meatball appetizer was phenomenal! We enjoyed our meal and will return.
The staff was friendly, courteous, attentive and gracous. The only glitch was my brother-in-law's order which was incorrect, however, our server was quick to apologize and inform the kitchen. The food was delicious. I would come back to try their breakfast and dinner menus.
It was so nice to find a place close to home with exceptional service and fresh, attractively prepared meals and a solid wine list. Our waiter was Caleb and he was very knowledge about the menu and the wine list. Try the pear and walnut salad, the garlic fries, and the skirt steak! So delicious! We will dedicate be back.
A bit disappointed with brunch...the eggs Benedict were on a very hard piece of toast, too hard to cut even with a knife. The eggs in the El Rancho dish were atop a corn tortilla which was very tough, the knife didn't cut it! Perhaps they need better knives!
We have been to Luca Bella a few times and this was the first time without our kids. The food is very good and we have not been disappointed. I got the sea bass, which was excellent. My wife normally gets the steak, but opted for the chicken. She said the chicken was good, but the steak was much better. Our waiter gave us recommendations on wine and he was spot on. He knew his stuff, which was a nice treat. We also got an appetizer (bruschetta) - it was wonderful and dessert (lemon tart) was great - I can't wait to have both again. If you are looking for a nice place to go in downtown Glendora, this is the place.
