The best deli style family restaurant in town.
Fresh delicious home style food.
Amazing breakfast and made to order salads.
Sandwiches and matzo ball soup delish!
Consistently tasty, good service, a neighborhood staple!
The restaurant is great...family friendly, good food very nice menu.
What happened to Lovi's? Loved Lovi's when they first opened. But it has all gone down hill!!! :(
Sat in the bar on a Saturday night because other section was deafening. Now that they have Happy Hour daily from 3pm - 10 pm, it is crowed with a big DRINKING crowd. Loud, obnoxious drinking crowd.
The server appeared to be on uppers. Rushing around like a character from Alice In Wonderland. I was intimidated to ask for anything else. She would appear and disappear like the Cheshire Cat.
Then came the food. Matzah Brie was worse than ever. Tasteless, gluey concoction! Turkey burgers were tough. Needed an electric saw to cut through them. Could we report this to our server. Heck NO! She did not stand by the table long enough for us to finish our sentence, before she was off and running...literally. Only came by at the end with a big smile asking how everything was... you know...the end when all they are thinking about is a 3 letter word. Lovi's - OY!!!!
I enjoyed a great birthday meal. We were a party of 9, and Lovi's was able to seat us comfortably. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious! When our server found out it was my birthday, he put a huge fire stick in the middle of the cheesecake. It was pretty wild and very fun. Really nice evening.
It was our first time Lovis. My husband was looking forward to the Sunday night prime rib. BUT, they were out of it by time we got there. He was very disappointed. He ordered the skirt steak as did the rest of us . Delicious and at $25 a great value.
Lovi's is a place you will frequent due to the consistency in food quality and taste. Great service as well. Treat counter is delicious as well.
Polite and friendly staff, great food and good service. Menu offers a huge variety of food. Breakfast served all day! Love this place.
Always a pleasure to eat there after a film or shopping
The food was good, modern surroundings, great ambiance. None of the waitstaff seemed to be particularly thrilled to be there, though.
Always a pleasant enjoyable occasion eating at Lovi's.
usually I go for breakfast ...this time was birthday weekend 18 yrs ahh..packed always recommend a reservation always///corn beef hash is good soup is a great value the cup was the size of a bowl and a bowl of soup was a meal
One of the best diners you will ever go to . It has a great menu ( something for everyone ) , wonderful service and delicious food . It is why many of us like diners . I would call this a diner supreme !!!
Food was good but brisket had too much fat. Waiter was very nice.
Love love Lovi’s!!! Such good fresh food. We drive from LakeBalboa. This is our favorite restaurant.
Lovi's offers a really nice range of food over and above just typical Deli fare. Mario, our server, was excellent, there when you needed him but not intrusive, and the food for both my wife and I (her a pastrami sandwich, myself a 4 item omelette) was delicious. Lobby staff were very friendly. I have been here when it was much busier and this was a nice change being a more quiet pre-dinner afternoon time.
PLUS we made our Open Table reservation when we pulled in to the parking lot (we got off the 101 due to traffic and decided to eat at Lovi's)) so it all worked out.
Will definitely return so my wife can have her own omelette instead of stealing 1/4 of mine...
Ordered a salad, asked if a roll came with it like Agoura Deli, was told no... disappointed.
Great food, great service by Zach and good ambient ....
Very good deli somewhat in the old style. Pleasant service, big portions and a relaxing ambience.
We got off to a rocky start and I had to return two omelets...one wasn't mine and the other was burnt. Third one was perfect. Staff was very nice.
Great food, good variety and outstanding service by Paul. The best delicatessen in The Valley.
Have been here several times and am enjoying trying out different offerings. Their NY pastrami is so lean and seasoned just right. Loved the stuffed cabbage I had on another occasion. This time I tried the Romanian seasoned skirt steak sandwich. Loved it. There's plenty of variety so everyone should find something to enjoy. The service is very good, the servers are amicable and helpful. Can't wait to go back.
Service was fine. What I was disappointed in was my corned beef sandwich. It was loaded with fat and gristle. When l complained they did nothing about it. I will stick with Brendt's in the future.
Overpriced, portion size on smaller side and poor quality pastrami. Do yourself a favor and drive to Brent's Deli. This place is not in the same universe as Brent's for quality of food, portion size and service.
Going solo at Lovi's in Calabasas and loving my blackened Wild Alaskan Salmon. This is about as good as any Salmon served anywhere! I might also add the servers here are wonderful, friendly and as good as you will find at any restaurant.
We regularly eat at Lovi's and enjoy feeling like we're visiting at a friend's place. Tasty food, good and friendly service.
I had a reservation for 8pm. My entire party arrived about 15-20 minutes early. They refused to seat us until 8pm even though our table was available and ready. The lame excuse that was given to us was they had another large party that just sat down and didn't want to overwhelm the server. Instead, they kept us standing in the waiting area until 8pm. Seating us and informing us that the server wouldn't be available would have been sufficient. I would fully understand waiting if the table wasn't available, but that was not the case. I have been a frequent patron of Lovi's and didn't appreciate waiting. I will frequent Lovi's less frequently. Other than that, food and service was excellent.
Just like New York deli without the attitude!
Great location, food and service!
We enjoyed a lovely meal with our friends. You need to know going in that the restaurant is crowded and very noisy. However, if you come knowing and expecting that, you will have a great time. The menu is extensive and offers lots of variety (and many vegetarian options). It was fun and we will be back again!
way too loud in there can't hear youself think . wait even though you have a reservation
Love this restaurant! I never leave having a bad meal. The food is always cooked to perfection and the cocktails are very good. Great selection of food and there is something to satisfy everyone!
Food was very good, ordered a deli platter to share, but didn't get enough potato salad or Cole slaw. Also no pickles were served. An extra charge of $3.00 added for ordering meats to be lean. Paid over $30.00.
For the most part everything was great. The only thing is....I wish the matzo ball soup had a little more flavor
Great place. Managed very well. Great menu with selections for just about anyone. Drinks are also good and an overall good food and good ambience. We love going here.
Found this through Open Table but not thrilled, as matzo ball soup below standard and very loud environment!
It is a pleasure to eat at Lovi's. Extensive menu with late night snacks. Service was very good. We felt well taken care of.
For what you get, this place is WAY over priced! For lunch, for two people, it was $75.00!!
We get better quality food at Noah's Bagels.
Really. I know that it's in a well to do area, but this is just highway robbery.
Jerry's Deli is high, but not like this.
I could see it if it was closer to fine dining, and/or the price justified the product.
The fact of the matter is, if just doesn't.
The server did her best to make sure that we had everything we needed but the disorganization in the kitchen was impossible to overcome. Food arrived at the wrong time (appetizers with the main course, some dinners arrived while others came much later), and much of it was cold as if it had been sitting waiting to be served for quite some time. Even when it was remade, the quality was adequate at best. The matzo ball was mushy, not fluffy, and my husband's pastrami had a lot more fat than it should. Its prices are also high for a deli. I have been to Lovi's several times now and I'm not going to return. I've given them plenty of opportunities to show me that they can improve, but they haven't done so.
