Great birthday dinner. Brown sugar pudding was mind blowing.
All of the food was delicious. We really loved the meatballs to start. The fennel salad was a delight. We tried 2 of the pizzas and both were delicious. If you're a gnocchi fan, you'll love the gnocchi here. Our host who is a wine lover raved about the wine list. We had three bottles. All amazing.
This restaurant is way too noisy. It is almost impossible to hear the servers or your dinner companions
Food was good and original. Service was outstanding. But the noise level is out of hand. We could barely hear each other from across the table. It didn't help that we had an obnoxious group next to us.And the tables are very tightly packed. So you are basically sitting with the table next to you. Seems to be the place where 20-30 somethings like to go in groups and be raucous/loud over dinner.
Crazy busy fun place! And here's why: Fantastic food, great cocktails and wine list, and really knowledgeable servers! If you haven't been here yet, it's one of the best restaurants in the South Bay area!
My wife and i went here for a "Date Night" and had a spectacular meal. The food is rich, but delicious. I would highly recommend the meat balls and bone marrow pasta.
Everything is meant to be shared. We had the endive salad. If you like anchovies you will love the salad. My husband orders octopus whenever it is on the menu. The octupus was grilled with a nice char. He said it was one of the best he has had. We then split the steak. Served over cripy potatoes and creme fraiche. So good!
This is my fav brunch spot! I always have a wonderful meal and lovely time. They could turn the music down just a bit, but other than that 10/10! :)
My birthday dinner wasn’t great due to our servers lack of attention. I said I was gluten free (allergy) and she continued to serve items that were clearly not OK. I don’t expect all servers to keep up with all allergens in this day and age, but her ignorance (she could have asked me necessary questions, or double-check with the chef) was NOT cool.
Pretty sure this is the first written review I’ve given in any type of channel but I felt this strongly to submit.
The loudest restaurant I've ever been in in my life. My ears are still ringing. Could not hear a word said at my table without screaming repetitions. So sad as I was seeing old friends who were passing through town.
Service was not great -- at one point we waited for 20 minutes for someone to stop by. Server had an 'attitude' as well, although front people were super-nice. Food, nothing we loved or worth remarking on.
Everything was excusable but the noise, though. The noise level ruined the evening.
Incredible restaurant! Great food, great environment!! Definitely a must! We’ll be back.
First time there. Creative, good, friendly, hip. Also loud, and as much as the deal is many small plates to be shared, still the mall plates seemed a bit small. Would definitely go again.
Love and Salt is one of my west side favorites! I always take friends visiting LA or use this spot as an excuse to head to the beach afterwards. The food is always delicious and the menu has a wide variety of options for every palate. I love how cozy the decor is and how we can always grab a reservation, even at the last minute! Definitely give this place a try. PS. The bacon is to die for!
Simply outstanding! I can’t wait to get back to Love and Salt.
Food was not great! Not everyone loves parm cheese! Wierd flavors with a very high price.
Miss Cafe Pierre.
Simply great food and great service.
Food was ok. Given the noise level and the crowded space it was not worth the price. It was a poor dining experience.
Amazing service and hospitality. Delicious food
Fun atmosphere. Awesome food and drinks. Very nice staff just a little busy at times.
Every thing we have ordered, time after time, is delicious . Excellent service.
Great food, great service! Def recommend this place to everyone!
We thought the food was average but enjoyed the ambiance.
Had a great time, great waitress, great food... will definitely go back.
Love the new rosemary ham and shishito pepper pie!!
Sharable plates/meals for a great price. Friend and I ended up splitting two appetizers, one pasta plate and a personal size pizza with drinks without breaking the bank. Food was good, but the pasta wasn't as fresh as I hoped it would be. Had 8pm reservations on a Monday night and ended up waiting 15 minutes to be seated and got drinks at the bar. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even giving my friend a free dessert for his birthday.
Delicious Sunday brunch. Beautiful open kitchen. Really enjoyed the experience!
Great evening. Food was really good. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back again soon.
My family was visiting from out of town and I took them to Love & Salt for brunch and they LOVED it. Everything we had was delicious. A special treat was the pancake with lemon curd and blueberries. And that was just a side dish.
Delicious food, great service. Very loud, difficult to hear the conversation at your own table
This place never disappoints! Foood seems to be better on each visit. Love it! Service was great as well.
If you make it to Love & Salt, you must try their meatballs! When you order the bone marrow pasta, they will scrape it tableside, which is such a treat. I highly recommend this place to foodies in the South Bay.
Have dined at Love & Salt for Dinner before (always excellent), but first time for brunch. Great experience! As always cocktails were delicous and the food was top notch. We had the Homemade English Muffins, the Cacio E Pepe (eggs on rye toast), a Rocotta Pancake, and the Duck Egg Pie. Everything was spectacular. Duck Egge Pie was probably our favorite, and the Ricotta Pancake is insanely good (and great bang for your buck!). One of the best brunches in the South Bay for creative food.
Incredible food. Very loud but great experience
We Love it here!
This was our first time at Love and Salt - we LOVED Cafe Pierre, the precursor to this restaurant, and thought we weren't ready for such a radical change. This is a restaurant for younger people. Our daughter loved the experience. The pudding might be worth going back for, and the pasta was quite good. The pizza was interesting.
Not what I had hoped for. Food is served on 8” plates so VERY small portions at regular prices. $14 for an 1/8 glass of wine. Everything comes at once, not appetizers first, and everything is scooped away by people who will move your glass if you don’t move fast enough. One plate taken away while other people are eating is rudely rushed service, not good service. Clearly, they fed you and it’s time to get the next table in and eating. The lamb pasta is boring and quickly turns cold. The pizza is heavy handed. The (2) meatball appetizer provided a nice zing with a side of buratta cheese.
The place is fashionably loud but more so.
It was a cold and windy night and it was absolutely FREEZING. We had to leave early and had drinks down the street to warm up... certainly a rare occasion and typically not an issue, but it was that night.
The food and service was simply fantastic. My colleagues couldn’t stop talking about it.
