I'll start by saying that the food was really tasty. The portions and prices are right-sized, and they offer a heat scale to customize the food to your taste preferences. We made an Open Table reservation for two, but when I told the host, he said that Open Table reservations never come through. It didn't matter, as there were only two other parties in the restaurant, so we were seated without any issue. I noticed that they had a small bar with a selection of wine and beer, but the Open Table site had them listed as a BYOB restaurant, so we had lugged a bottle of wine with us. The host was accommodating, and only charged us a $5 uncorking fee. From what we could tell, the host was also the manager and also the server. There was one young woman who was most likely a kitchen assistant, bringing out food and handling dishes. They did have a sign in the window looking for help. I hope they get help soon, but I also hope they get more customers! The food is worth checking out.

Being a lover of Indian food, I was glad to find a great Indian Restaurant right on South Street. The food was very good and authentic and very reasonably priced. The decor was clean and bright with an attentive staff. Since it is a BYOB, I was surprised to see they have a full stocked bar...really an asset that you can bring your own beverage. Would recommend.

My wife and I like Lovash a lot. This time, though, we tried the buffet, which we won't do again until they get their act together. They were slow with replacing stuff when it ran out, had entrees that had been warming too long and also ran out of bowls for dessert.

Went to Lovash with friends. Food was great. Love that it's a BYOB. I asked for my chicken tikka extra spicy...and woowee was it spicy. Hats off to the chef!

Great dining experience. My first time eating Indian food and I really enjoyed it. Romantic and relaxing vibe, food was great. My boyfriend loved the bread and homemade pistachio ice cream. BYOB. Will def. go back

Good food--used a groupon. I ordered a meal that had numerous small bowls of various dishes. It was great for me as I like to try different things.

Had a wonderful meal here. The staff was able to handle a party of 20 people which included some children. One of the best garlic naans around...they put red pepper flakes on it for a little kick. Offer not only traditional indian but will cook anything requested for those in your party unable to handle heat. If you are a true Indian lover, make sure you ask them to kick up the spice some on certain dishes since many Americans are not used to traditional spice levels. The owner even offered to make anything I wanted for my children who are 4 and . When dining in small party, request a table by the window, break open a byob wine, and enjoy the scenic view of all different types of people walking by on South Street

My husband and I dined here on Monday for his birthday and we had a wonderful time. I like that it was BYOB. We were able to bring our own drinks and hey served them like they were bought at their restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was great.

Lovash is a great value, esp with out groupon. I think it is authentic Indian food, perhaps not the best in the city, but certainly reliable and local for us. Good portions, great flavors, good service. Nothing to complain about, maybe nothing to rave about either.
