We had such a good time and the food was delicious, a nice yet casual atmosphere, moderate noise but it did not make conversation difficult at all! We try a new place for brunch every month and this is by far a top fav now!
Exceptional friendly service
Great variety of wine options and a knowledgeable staff. Love the Sinatra Burger with fries! My wife is a fan of the fish and chips. We recommend this Waldo gem.
Loved the cocktail Drink With No Name!
Service was great. The food was very good. We were early for our reservation and were seated right away. Everybody was very polite. Ordered a bottle of wine and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the wine list. Definitely will be going back.
We have always loved the Brussel sprouts, however this time they weren’t cut into as small of pieces so they weren’t as thoroughly cooked as usual. Not sure if this is a new thing being tried by the kitchen but hopefully you will go back to how you used to prepare them.
Love being able to get a nice glass of wine without having to splurge on a whole bottle. Love the variety and quality here if food and wine. Superb.
We go to Louie's Wine dive in Waldo about every 6 weeks or so. Always enjoy it. We had a great waiter named Dave, this time. Wine was especially good. Recommend it to those who like a nice dinner and a good glass of wine.
The food and drinks were great and the wait staff was excellent. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed.
My husband took me here for our anniversary and now it is one of our favorite places to eat. I had the shrimp and grits here and it was the best shrimp and grits I have ever had! I was hoping when I went to Charleston that I would find a restaurant that could match it and I never did! Their menu changes but I like that there is always something new to try. They took the shrimp and grits off the menu and I'm praying that they will add it back soon. One thing that is always consistent and amazing about Louies Wine Dive is the service. The service is always fantastic! Even when it is super busy they always make us feel important and make sure we are taken care of. It's the perfect place for a date or just a get-together with friends or family.
I've been to Louie's once before and really like it. This time we went for restaurant week and the food was definitely subpar. The service was fantastic, though, and I am hoping it was a one off experience. We'll definitely give it another shot sometime!
It was very noisy for a brunch!
We had a very good meal and the service was excellent.
Great food and service. When make reservation Open Table app askes if you want high top or a booth/table. Louis’ does not get that info, so call ahead to let em know which you want. We did not get our preference.
Nice, helpful server. Food was okay...ordered the street tacos and they were pretty bland. Server said they kept them mild due to client preference. Didn't have a selection of hot sauces to offer or pico de gallo. Tabasco sauce was the only option. Place was EMPTY for lunch on a weekday. Went for a birthday celebration. Instead of dessert for the birthday girl, they brought a bottle of wine w/a candle in the cork for her to blow out. FUN!
Great place for friends to have lunch, and catch up with good conversation. Service was just right - prompt, but not pushy. Really enjoyed it.
We love this place. Great wine selection. Good for date night or dinner with friends.
Great brunch!
I love Louie's! The wine list is fantastic. Not only do they keep standards on the menu, they have rotating selections available on their big chalk board. Always ask your server for a recommendation, everyone there know their stuff. Plus, they will open *any* bottle as long as you commit to buying two glasses - this even includes the super-expensive, super-tasty wine!
The food is bang-on. Joe, the chef, has seasonal selections on the menu that change monthly. There is delicious comfort food, fantastic salads, pasta made in-house, creative foodie selections, just about everything you want out of a restaurant - is sure to please a group.
Great ambiance, too - just an all-around awesome place to eat, drink, and be merry!
Stopped in with a few girlfriends for happy hour and we had a great time! Server recommended a great wine. Food was delicious and received quickly. Can't wait to go back!
Hands down the best place for brunch in Kansas City!
It was our anniversary and we switched to a table outside on a beautiful night. Drinks were fantastic (my Old Fashioned and the wife had a wine flite), food was good and service impeccable --- really enjoyed our first time here and will be back!!
Louie's Wine Dive is a pleasant place. We liked the waitress. They had a decent gluten free menu. I had the fish and chips and it was fine. But all the servings are way too big. We don't like to waste food or encourage people to overeat.
Good menu, great variety of wine, and good service. Love the wine flights to get a variety of wines. Had dinner with friends and had a great time.
The high top we sat at had a cold blower aimed at it. My guests were miserable. We literally pleaded with the waiter and then the manager. They went over to a thermostat and fiddled with it once, but nothing ever changed. The cold wind continued. We just couldn't enjoy ourselves.
Food and service were excellent! Waiter offered great suggestions. We all had something different and everyone was pleased. Great options for people with celiac dz or gluten intolerance.
Excellent food with incredible variety of wine options. Great place to meet friends or go on a date!
Always so good. Special wine selections. Great appetizers, and always outstanding service! Love Louie's Wine Dive
Unfortunately there were flees that were a constant nuisance. The wine was warm and when mentioned to server he just shrugged his shoulders and moved on.
Great neighborhood place. Service was really good. Food was good, and some unique offerings. On the down side, parking at that location has always been a challenge.
Great Mimosas's!!!!!!! Food was excellent and our sever was excellent. Definitely would recommend this to anyone.
Took my brother to lunch for his bday. Great service, nice lunch menu and meal.
After our server learned we were too full for a birthday dessert, he brought a wine bottle with candle on top and birthday greeting written on it! Very fun memorable touch. We will be back!
The food was delicious, but the portion size was ridiculously small. It was very expensive. The service was mediocre, and the restaurant was beautiful but extremely loud. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Our waiter was able to recommend some great wines, based on our preferences. Food was unique and tasty!
A little noisy a little funky but great. Chef creative
We've been for brunch, and don't get us wrong, that was great, but dinner was not as good. There are a lot better places in KC to have dinner. We had the crab poutine, shrimp flatbread and pork gnocchi. We like to consider ourselves "foodies" and didn't care for any of it. It wasn't bad, but just wasn't great. We would go back for brunch, just not dinner.
Went to Louie's for the first time last week for my wife's birthday. We had the cheese flight, blue fin crab poutine and a few of their signature cocktails. Every bit of it was incredibly delicious! Our server was very friendly and attentive and when a different server delivered the cheese flight, he took the time to explain everything that we were getting rather than just dropping it off and leaving. I was very impressed by our first visit and will definitely be returning.
Our waitress was exceptional!! Very knowledable about both wine and food. Excellent food and wine experience! Will definetly be back.
Great food, great service and greater wine list! The wine flights give you an opportunity to try wines you normally wouldn't have the opportunity to try!
The fish and chips were greasy and in excess of breading . Deviled eggs and pork tacos great.
Was our second time. We were generally disappointed.
