Shannon and Shannon (GM) are kind of a screwball comedy team and it's a great show! Shannon our server, was amazing and really helpful with menu selections. Drinks were fantastic and it was a fabulous experience! This is a fun place!

I love heading to Louis’. That said, the back room in the restaurant is lousy. It feels closed in and disconnected. Ask for high tops or outside if you want atmosphere.

The service was spot-on, as usual. My cocktail was great. My dining partner’s meal was perfectly done. I ordered chicken piccata and, while it was certainly delicious, it wasn’t the best version I’ve had. The breading was a little thick and mushy, it lacked the tang I expected and the side of peas felt uninspired. I should have asked about other veggie options. Nevertheless, Louie’s is always a solid choice.

Our food was excellent. But that was just the tip of the iceberg of a great experience! I joined my friends for brunch before a matinee at the Civics Center. We had such wonderful service, very attentive and timely. We never wanted for anything. We had a smaller room to ourselves and we’re able to visit well. It was all around very comfortable and I will be back!

Louie’s Wine Dive is always a good experience, but it was “extra special” on June 28. We started with the Squeaky Cheese and ended with Fish & Chips and the Crab Cakes. It was all excellent, but it was the music that made the evening special. Vocalist Avi Gedler and pianist Nate Sparks were outstanding! Louie’s Wine Dive has jazz duos every Wednesday and Sunday and we will return often.

Unfortunately, our excitement quickly gave way to disappointment. Service was a bit slow throughout. Our server seemed new and inexperienced. While he was friendly, it felt as if he was trying too hard to build a rapport with us when we just wanted decent service. Instead, he had to frequently apologize for the gaps in service when all we wanted was less waiting. We ordered a charcuterie plate and requested it be modified gluten-free for my wife. This request was not communicated to the kitchen and bread and crackers were included on the plate. When it arrived at our table, we inquired if it was gluten-free. The server acknowledged it was not and returned with a sad looking bowl of corn tortilla chips!? This was the “gluten-free” option on a charcuterie board? Nothing like enjoying some artisanal meats and cheeses with a bowl of nachos! This substitution felt lazy - especially considering many of the menu items mentioned being gluten-free of having a gluten modification option. We also ordered a bottle of wine to share. When the bill arrived, I gave them my credit card after taking a quick glance at it. I had neglected to notice we were charged for the wrong bottle of wine. Ours (an Australian Sauvignon Blanc) was listed on the menu at $42. Instead, we were charged $54. I brought this to the attention of another server who seemed to be more knowledgeable and possibly a lead role. This created some confusion at the table as she was trying to say they substituted another wine (without informing us). However, we did indeed have the wine we ordered off the menu at our table. We were simply overcharged. They corrected the bill and we left - deciding to skip entrees and cut our losses. It’s been a long time since we’ve had this poor of a dining experience. No effort was made to make things right. Simply comping us the charcuterie board or a round of drinks would have went a long way.

If a restaurant wants to offer reservations then they should let the customer know if their reservation won’t be accommodated. Open Table app continues to let me know my reservation was okay. Showed up to the restaurant and seating was not available where we requested.

Misleading option of outdoor seating when making reservation. Arrived to be told patio seating is first-come-first-served & no patio seating available. Eventually got patio table but know there’s no guarantee.

Louie’s always has great food and service. Especially if you have gluten issues. They have lots of options and are great about avoiding cross contamination and have dedicated fryers.

Went for Mother's Day brunch. Seated immediately at reserved time. Fun menu with all the basics but also some tasty, more unique options. We had crab cake benedict, chicken and waffles, with beignets to start. Full bar. Excellent service by our server who offered great recommendations for our meal. We will be back for more meals and drinks.
