Louie's is always a great go-to place when you want to be casual but enjoy great food. One of my favorites in Greenwich.
Worth the trip from mid-Westchester. Classic old-time Italian restaurant. Would love to know the history of the building. Bartender made a great Manhattan. Great ambiance though loud. Truffle ravioli was amazing. Veal parm was pounded thin with a great red sauce. Fried calamari was nicely done, but needs a redder sauce, maybe Fra Diavolo. Staff was friendly. Will be back.
Spectacular! Great food and service, super ambiance--feels like an Italian restaurant in a small town in Italy with lots of locals and families. Expect a very fair bill. This place is NOT some silly priced NYC or Greenwich restaurant. This is the type of place you can eat a business meal, or family/friend meal, 3 times per week, all year ,and be very happy and healthy. All the ingredients are fresh and authentic.
Always great, good value/quality, mostly full of locals.
Love the restaurant and the food, but way too noisy. Couldn’t hear the people on either side of me talk, much less the people across from me
I love the short rib ravioli in truffle cream sauce! Italian food at reasonable prices! Great for a casual dinner with friends!
This was a new place for me! The food was very good.. your standard Italian favorites. The service was outstanding. My only SMALL complaint was that our appetizers could have been hotter but, the were still delicious. It’s a little pricey for the type of food they offer but the people serving us made up for it!
Love this neighborhood restaurant!!
Always fantastic. Love Louies.
Louie's saved Valentine's Day! After having a terrible experience at another local Italian restaurant, we left and drove down the street to Louie's. We were able to get right in, the service was attentive and very welcoming, and the food was great! It was casual and cozy, and ended up being the perfect night. Would definitely go back!
Great food as always, no matter what we order. Service was fantastic and fast. Quiet table which we liked.
I have been to Louie's before and been more pleased. This time it was mixed. My seafood salad appetizer was very good. The wrong main course was brought to my table, so it took a bit of time to straighten that out. The right main course (chicken with sausage and potatoes) was on the bland side.
Always a pleasure, from valet parking to smiling hostesses and staff to the delicious meal!
Fine food and service
Delicious and accommodating as always!
Our waitress was so bad that we tired to get other servers to help us and you could tell by their attitude they always have to cover for her. Only 1/4 of our meals was good. My husband had a butterfly steak dinner special for $36 dollars that our friends joked looked like a steak from a hungry man frozen dinner.
I was in the food business for years and actually wanted to leave no tip. I was guilted into to leaving 10 percent. I eat our 5/7 nights and this waitress was the worst I have ever head ever...We will not be going back.
We like a lot Louie’s, the food is very good.
The only problem is the acoustic, the noise is imposible, too loud.
Great experience the other night because the back room restaurant wasn't crowded and we could have a normal conversation. Service and food were excellent!
Great way to wrap up the year! Authentic food cooked to perfection and fabulous service
Went to Louies for Christmas Eve Dinner with the family and it was great. Accommodates families with young children and had AMAZING service. Couldn't have asked for a better server - she was AWESOME!
This was a last minute recommendation from a friend because we were planning to see a band play near by. The restaurant was crowded but our opentable reservation got us in and we had a great time
LI Love Polpo!
Fun place with wide variety of tasty Italian food. Popular with locals and for good reason.
Great atmosphere...really authentic cooking... My veal Marsalis couldn't have been better... Friendly (rare find so lose Tony) unrushed service... Kind of a restaurant, that if I lived in the Greenwich area, I'd be a regular...
It is a store that feels nostalgic. Cocktail is delicious
It is favored for a wide range of age!
The excessive noise made it unpleasant. I do not know how you coul tell diners not to shout
Our kids always request to go here and when I have no energy to argue with them I acquiesce. Then I always ask myself how we ended up here. You can NEVER sit in the bar area. Every time we have come here they tell us the exact same thing “these tables have been booked for two weeks”. The food is par at best. Without fail each time we dine there is something that is forgotten— glass of wine, an appetizer, a side dish. We order a lot with two adults and two teen boys but it’s no excuse for it to happen every single time. The waitresses and waiters just seem unphased that they are at work and have customers.
There are so many other places in the area that are far better
Chicken Louie’s is delicious and they are very accommodating to any dietary tastes or restrictions. A favorite spot of ours.
Food is great. Noise level was terrible the 4 of us left with headaches We could not wait to leave I do not know if we will come back.
Favorite spot in Greenwich/Cos Cob. Welcoming, energetic, solid menu, good friendly service and never been disappointed at Louie's. Recomend the Louie's Salad, Polpo and Beans, Orrechette Bari, Chicken Romana, T-bone Veal Chop (special), pasta specials and Veal Nostro. Other menu items are equally as good!
first time, impressed by the food, loved the burrata appetizer and the chicken parm dinner; italian cheesecake was tasty. service prompt and efficient; get there early, the place fills up and gets very noisy at the night goes on; valet parking only.
Overpriced for a neighborhood place with ordinary Italian food.
Always a great experience meeting up with friends here. Very Accomodating.
Each week my wife and I look to go to a restaurant we haven't gone to in the past...I look on Open Table...this week, we were celebrating my wife's birthday and I selected Louie's Italian Restaurant...we both enjoyed it very much....the ambiance was warn and old fashioned, a neighborhood gem...the noise level was festive ... the food was very good...we liked it so much that we suggested it to my brother and his wife and we all went there this past Saturday evening...again, it didn't disappoint.
Food is classic Italian; well done, no Wow factor. Can get pricey. Chairs are very uncomfortable, particularly for dining at this price point.
We have a great meal here every time we go. The service is excellent - both friendly and attentive, and it's never too loud.
Good service but mediocre food- very expensive for what you get
We loved it! Food was great
My wife & I love earring at Louie's weekly. We have never been disappointed in the food, service or cleanliness. We recommend it to all interested in true southern Italian
Great meal, as always, with attentive service. Love the Chicken Romana and the pastas are generous and delicious. Chicken Louie’s is always a favorite among our group.
