Lou & Mickey's Ratings and Reviews
The service was SO SLOW - and granted we had a large group, it was ridiculous. Our server kept forgetting things he said he would do, and it took us hours to get through the meal. The food came out lukewarm and was average at best. I would not recommend it and would not return.
Food was delicious. Had a great menu with a lot of variety. Fairly pricey but worth it. I had the filet Oscar and it was perfect. We got chocolate cake and Key lime pie for the table for dessert and the Key lime pie (one of my favorite desserts) was really good and a nice big piece for the table to share. We sat outside on a beautiful night. The only downside was that the service was very slow and it wasn’t even that crowded. But overall, I’d definitely go here again.
wonderful bar area for before dinner drinks and friendly bartenders. Restaurant is great for special occasions. Steak was wonderful with a great wine list. Romantic atmosphere, dark wood but the bar is open to the outside which is nice. Server was wonderful and very friendly.
First of all the service was absolutely first rate excellent I have to tell you I heard that the seafood was better than the steaks. I was told they addressed that and him got a higher quality of steak. Bottom line is the seafood is still bette. steaks were just not that good thought I'd let you know
A disappointing 2nd visit to this restaurant. Our waiter all but disappeared after taking our order. My husbands steak was not cooked as he ordered, but the waiter didn't come check on us for around 15-20 mins after our entrees were dropped off, so by that point, there was no desire to even send it back. He just didn't eat it. It's a shame, for the cost, my expectation is the service would have been better. It was a total 180 from our first dining experience. Very disappointing meal.
The food was hastily prepared, not very tasty, overspiced (New Orleans BBQ shrimp) . French fries were on the cold side.
There was no pacing of serving...it was obvious the waiters were instructed to just "move the customer through fast". The entrée came prior to finishing the appetizer (soup).
Overall a very disappointing experience. My friends at the table had the same experience....they each had fish and chips - Long John silver makes a better version.
It was a brisk night so a heat lamp was needed for dining outside. We had to share a heat lamp with another table but as soon as one came available we had one brought over to us. Over all it was a good night, can't control how many people will be cold at the same time!
The food was very nice, but the service was bizarre! I had to go and find the waiter and ask him to come take our order! One dish was wrong, and then I had to go find him again to pay, which also took a while. They were nowhere near busy, either, so I have no idea what the problem was!
A+ for the excellent food and for the waiter. The food took longer than usual to come out, but luckily we weren't in a hurry. The only unfortunate part of our experience was the hostess. I had a reservation for 3 people at 8pm on a Saturday. Arrived 5 mins early, she said if we wanted to sit inside the wait would be less than 10 mins. So we waited... sat right in front of her podium, never left her sight. Over the next 20 mins, while we waited, many customers came in and were seated right away, over and over. She finally looked at me and said "have you put your name on the list?"... ummm... *sigh* guess she somehow forgot who we were and why we were sitting there for 20 mins... then it was another 10 mins of waiting...
The food, ambience, etc were great however I was a little disappointed in the end. I was there to celebrate my birthday with my wife and even informed the hostess of the event however upon completion of our meal, we were simply provided a dessert menu. I was anticipating a scoop of ice cream or comp’d dessert. Not too far fetched to expect considering we were asked if we were there to celebrate an occasion and considering the bill for the two of us was over $180 (pre tip).
Atmosphere was great. Food was outstanding. However, we were immediately seated next to a large party that had been drinking excessively and were literally screaming their conversation. We asked to move and we're accommodated with that but our server did not show for a good 15 minutes after we were seated in our second location. Very disappointed with the party we were sat next to and the wait for the server. Other than that experience was good and I would probably go back
Unfortunately, this seems to be a common theme based on the more recent reviews that I read. We had dinner there a few years ago and it was fabulous! However, our meal last Saturday was truly awful. It gives me no pleasure to leave a review like this, but this is a restaurant to skip.
