The food was amazing.
Great food. Service exceptional tonight. Lots of personal touches!
Order to ribeye steak. I never get that cut and it was amazing. Way more flavor and very little fat.
Great. I took the whole family, my husband & 2 kids. They all loved it. My husband wants to come back for his birthday.
Delicious 30 day aged beef.
Next to Gaslamp sign.
Excellent people watching.
Food was absolutely worth the price; excellent, knowledgeable staff, and a great location! Highly recommended.
Our first time there. The air dried 45 day porterhouse for two was the best steak I’ve ever had!!! The service was top notch. The best steakhouse in San Diego hands down!!?
Love this place! Special occasions, date nights, it's fabulous! Watch out for teriyaki tips, very spicy! We were treated royally!
Over priced for the quality. ——————————/—-//——————-
Our service was outstanding and the night with business associates was awesome. Thank you.
The location, food and drinks are great. If you want a happening place this is it, but don’t expect a lot of value for what you get. Steaks are outrageously priced and sides are extra. For the cost of one ribeye, you could buy 5 ribeyes yourself.
Need to be very specific when you want each course...our soup came out with our salad and then the entree came out before I finished either :(
The minute we entered we felt like welcome guests. The choices were explained in detail, the waiters were attentive and friendly.
The food was delicious and just the way we ordered it. Definitely a must return on our list.
Waiter knew his stuff and the kitchen pushed out a steak that was well worth the price. Great location and ambiance.
I was so disappointed with every aspect of this dining experience. There was obviously not enough staff working so the waiter did not greet us for at least 10 minutes. The poor guy looked as though he was taking care of 20 tables. It took another 10 minutes to get a glass of water. Finally we placed our order and the food came out in relatively good time. We ordered the garlic shrimp, mushrooms, artichoke and scalloped potatoes. The ONLY edible food was the shrimp. The artichoke looked and tasted as though it was dipped in oil. We couldn’t even eat it. The mushrooms had such a funky taste we sent them back. The scalloped potatoes also had so much oil on them we were sick to our stomachs. It was such bad service that nobody could tell we were unhappy until we sent the items back. What made matters worse was the table next to us was so disruptive and drunk. The poor manager had to go back 50 times that night to make sure their disgusting demands were taken care of. All in all it was the worst experience I have ever paid $100 for. So sad because it was a very cool looking place.
Great place to eat!! We were celebrating my wife's birthday and had a great meal with excellent service.
My medium steak was overcooked. My son's medium rare steak was undercooked. Not what you would expect from a high-dollar steakhouse. The butternut squash was undercooked. All-in-all, fairly underwhelming. The young lady who was our server was fine, but a tad familiar. The whole meal was about $250 with tip, which would've been fine if the experience was spectacular, but it more closely resembled a visit to Steak and Ale or Red Lobster, not a signature steakhouse that touts its legendary, world-reknowned reputation.
I went to Lou & Mickeys on Saturday night while in the Gaslamp District. I had made reservations, but we arrived 15 minutes early and were greeted by Nilton, who was super-friendly and since I'm from Las Vegas, recommended that I try out their new restaurant in Vegas. If their restaurant in Vegas is anything like this one, I will be frequenting there for sure. We were immediately seated and our server was Brian. Brian was excellent, knowledgeable, attentive, etc. He was just great. The food....we had baked mozzarella and crab bisque as an appetizer....which was phenomenal. Then came the 45 day aged ribeye with mac n cheese and creamed spinach. It was way more than I can eat and taste was exquisite. Their chimichurri sauce is the best I've ever had. If you're in the Gaslamp District, Lou & Mickeys is a must try. On Sunday night, I overheard people in the elevator at my hotel talking about where to go for steak. Of course, I had to tell them about Lou & Mickeys and they asked how to get there. I can't wait to come back.
We always come here when we come down to San Diego. It is so awesome
Mike Malicdem and his crew have everything down to a science! Recommended perfect appetizers (seafood plate was amazing!) and just the right amount of steak to keep our mouths watering throughout! Wine selection is right on target too. Wait staff was attentive yet not overly so. We felt pampered throughout our meal. Thank you to all and Lou and Mickeys is definitely our place for "go to" steaks!
The service was great. The steak was amazing. The restaurant is scheduled to close at 10 PM and we were there until 1015 or so, and never felt rushed. I will definitely be back again.
Worst service I’ve ever experienced at an expensive steakhouse.
Food was excellent! Steak. Crabcakes , Seabass perfectly done! Unfortunately our outdoor table 6 adults , 2 children was left very unattended, empty dirty plates left on the table for a long time water not refilled, drink order forgotten and there were 2 non drinkers of alcohol that love water! The Birthday cake came with the table full of dirty plates pushed to the side and no one was asked if they wanted coffee or dessert in addition to the 1 piece of bday cake. It was very odd, the Manager came over we had already gotten up to politely mention the situation but nothing changed he only asked if we wanted a different waitress?? We all understand miscommunication but no one even took some accountability with an apology or something. Communication by the staff with action followed would have been great, especially from a high end restaurant like L@M☹
We had an excellent experience here! The wine our waiter recommended was perfect. The flavor of the steaks were incredible. The only issue we had was both steaks were undercooked. My husband and I both ordered our steaks Medium. I still thoroughly enjoyed mine even those it was about Medium Rare. My husbands steaks was much more red, and while the flavor was delicious, it really was much more undercooked than he prefers. Aside from that, the restaurant was great!
Pricy, but not unreasonable. Best salmon I have ever eaten, on the expensive side, but worth every penny!
I recommend Lou and Mickey's all the time! It's our go-to restaurant for any event at Petco Park.
Large menu, great appetizers, salads or full entrees. Desserts are yummy too! One block from the ballpark.
Oh, and no corkage fee on wine!
We have been a few times before - the food was delicious but the service let it down
Excellent food, service, and ambiance!
The server was awful. Food was cold and it just felt off.
The bar has TINY TVs
Food just average, very pricy, crab cakes served cold ( supposed to be at least warm). French onion soup had too much bread. My husbands steak was good and cooked exactly as requested. Service just average.
Consistent quality and service with every visit! This trip was disrupted by an intoxicated person who was allowed to stay a little longer than reasonable IMO by management (they stopped serving after the party closed the tab). Unfortunate disruption when spending $$$ for higher-end dining. The manager was very nonchalant when encouraging departure, and the exit was discrete and not what it could have been, given the person’s condition.
Celebrating recent engagement.
Great ambiance but way overpaid for a bland steak. Ordered a porterhouse steak to share and paid $127 for a perfectly cooked but flavorless steak. Overall, we were disappointed with our over $300 meal for two.
We had a beautiful afternoon as the sun set right behind the convention center. Our waitress Brittney was super attentive and with a friendly, cool attitude and demeanor. All the food came out in perfect timing, was hot and tasted delicious. We ordered the 8oz. Fillet Mignon with the wild caught South African Lobster tail. It was amazing. I highly recommend a date night or special occasion dinner and sit on the patio enjoy the San Diego weather.
Tardaron en atendernos...pocos meseros para el horario, 2.30pm. Mesa estaba lista...los únicos en el comedor.
Tardo en llegar bastante la comida.
Not the first time i've been to Lou's. Stick to the steaks at this place made the mistake of ordering the Macadamian Halibut and it was almost unbeatable. Not macadamian crust and extremely dry . 3"×3" little square $45 .
The coconut shrimp appetizer was delicious along with the Calamari. New York Steak good.
We've been going to Lou & Mickey's for 20 years. It's always been excellent. Their new dry aged steaks are awesome. We had a few service issues this last time, but that's a rarity. Great place with a variety of food options.
Owned by a seafood chainBobby the waiter didn’t say which one. Out of 2 fish on menu. Made reservations for 4, sat us by very noisy bar, main dining room remained nearly empty our entire meal. Bobby not the friendliest waiter, since we weren’t drinking. The guy who brought us all our appetizers and main food was great! Filet was good and reasonable. Broccoli I and Caesar’s average at best. Waiter 3, overall food and atmosphere 3.75....
