About

This restaurant is permanently closed. Permanently Closed - Jimmy Shaw opened the first Lotería! Grill in the summer of 2002 at the Farmers Market in Los Angeles, and ever since has been serving our guests a menu full of regional Mexican specialties as delicious as what he grew up enjoying in Mexico City.

The service was uneven, the staff seemed confused and untrained. Bottled water was just left at the table, shared appitizers were just dropped at the table and we had to move glasses around to make room. The rest of the meal was delivered in the same haphazzard manner. We've been to the Hollywood location and they are night and day different...

The food was pretty good but they load most dishes up with raw onion and cilantro -yes, I know it's a Mexican restaurant. But we requested No onion or cilantro and it was clear they put it on, re-read the order and then removed it by hand. Very disappointing. raw diced onion isn't something you can easily avoid once it's on the dish.

We wanted to eat here and made a reservation and when we arrived it was CLOSED. No explanation, the tv was on inside but the door was locked and no one responded to knocking. It would have been nice to at least put a note on the door or something. They've lost a loyal and once happy customer.

This restaurant is going downhill. They used to serve real champagne and excellent quality food. Now it is like a glorified Taco Bell.

Some of the most disorganized service I have ever experienced, but not unexpected since no employee older than 21 years. Worst service I ever had at any Loeria grill. This is to be expected due to over expansion of this much respected restaurant. Will it be the next daily grill or gaucho grill. Worsening food due to lack of control at too many spots

I realize they are trying to be "gourmetish" with the mexican food; however, I believe it was a bit too much on that end. I expected a little more mix of some traditional mexican food. I did not quite enjoy my meal. I'll give it another try some time.
