We are locals and regulars and this a Go To for us at least once or twice a month. Our favorite waitress, Karen sees us coming in the door and is ready with taylored wine selections and the specials. it always feels like home. Food is great and the service is always a cut above.

The Cafe never disappoints! There is something for everyone on the menu. We love the Basil Arancini and Mushroom Ravioli...highly recommend sharing unless you are very hungry! A not to be missed stop when in Los Olivos (or surrounding area).

I have come here many times and always have great food! The servers are always kind and professional; however, this time our server wasn’t friendly at all. The server seemed like she/he just wanted to go home, so it made the experience unpleasant. Everyone else seemed happy and pleasant, such as the food runners and other staff. I’m not sure if I will go back. If I go back, I hope it’s a different server.

Food, wine and service have a 5 star. I had a group of 9 and we were sat in the back room where they seat the families with children, I don't mind the kids, but the room was small and very claustrophobic. I wish the room had some windows to enjoy the beautiful views this place has.

From appetizer to dessert, everything was excellent...food and service. The wine list is almost too extensive to make a choice. We had help from Jake, the sommelier, ending up with a nice grenache. The roasted seasonal vegetable appetizer was cooked to perfection. I had the fettuccine special for an entree and the apple turnover a la mode for dessert. Top notch experience.

What a horrible experience at this restaurant. This was my second visit and my last. There was a long hair in my chicken dish. Quite disgusting for anyone. We had left over pizza and asked for a box. The waitress took our pizza and never came back. When we asked about our pizza, they informed us that the threw it out. We ordered coffee for dessert and we were never asked for refills. I believe our waitress was avoiding us at this point. So we spoke to the manager and this manager didn’t seem to care about our ruined dinner. He didn’t even offer to do anything about it. He simply said “ we dropped the ball.”
So I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. It’s a shame because our first experience was the complete opposite.

Business lunch. The waiter was very attentive and both meals were good. The sound level was such that we could have a private conversation even with the next table and fairly close proximity.

How perfect — a wine-focused restaurant in the middle of the wine-focused Santa Ynez Valley! Menu is varied and wine list if out of this world. Staff is friendly, too. THE place to dine in Los Olivos, for sure!

In my opinion, the LOWM is the best place to eat in the town of Los Olivos. Besides the very good food, they have a nice wine selection.

Check out Trattoria Grappolo in nearby Santa Ynez for very very good authentic Italian food. The dove has always been perfect there.

Outstanding food and service. I ordered a pasta dish that was excellent, light and full of favor. They make their own pasta and sauce, both memorable and wonderful on the palette. Karen provided first class top quality service. It was so fabulous we went back again the following evening. The food, again, was incredible; however, the service provided by Melanie was mediocre. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Los Olivos. Be sure to secure a reservation and ask to be seated at Karen's station.

So sorry, but this was a huge disappointment. There were 8 of us, so we were put in a drab back room with a tv tuned to a fireplace. We were shortly surrounded by a mess of children, who were very loud. They were having a great time, but it was very hard on us. The service was spotty - one of two wines ordered was the wrong one (server probably could not hear over the kids, either); it was a constant guessing game about who had ordered what, with guests receiving plates they then passed to other guests; server refilled a wine glass only when asked, and then only for the person who asked for a refill. And the food quality was average at best given the price point.

We brought a group of 8 to the restaurant after a day of wine tasting and they seated us in a back room that was private. The staff did a great job of waiting on our table. And everyone loved the food! The chicken and orecchiette were the favorite dishes! We had a great experience!

We shared a wonderful lunch with our office group of 15 that had traveled via Limo Bus to Los Olivos. Lunch and the overall atmosphere was a high point in our day of building relationships with new and old friends. The food and wine selections definitely did not disappoint! We were quickly seated upon arrival and enjoyed every moment of our time at Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Cafe. As this was my second time at the restaurant, I am happy to look forward to many more times, as I visit the Santa Barbara area.

Traditional, French influenced cuisine. We had the burger (simple, but excellent) and the cheese plate (it was great). We didn’t order wine, but I’m sure the perfectly paired wine would have brought the meal to the next level.
