How perfect — a wine-focused restaurant in the middle of the wine-focused Santa Ynez Valley! Menu is varied and wine list if out of this world. Staff is friendly, too. THE place to dine in Los Olivos, for sure!

In my opinion, the LOWM is the best place to eat in the town of Los Olivos. Besides the very good food, they have a nice wine selection.

Check out Trattoria Grappolo in nearby Santa Ynez for very very good authentic Italian food. The dove has always been perfect there.

Outstanding food and service. I ordered a pasta dish that was excellent, light and full of favor. They make their own pasta and sauce, both memorable and wonderful on the palette. Karen provided first class top quality service. It was so fabulous we went back again the following evening. The food, again, was incredible; however, the service provided by Melanie was mediocre. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Los Olivos. Be sure to secure a reservation and ask to be seated at Karen's station.

We tend to visit this area quite often -- probably more than we should! :) and always make a point to stop in. The ambiance can't be beaten, the service is awesome and the selection offered in both wine and food is stellar!

So sorry, but this was a huge disappointment. There were 8 of us, so we were put in a drab back room with a tv tuned to a fireplace. We were shortly surrounded by a mess of children, who were very loud. They were having a great time, but it was very hard on us. The service was spotty - one of two wines ordered was the wrong one (server probably could not hear over the kids, either); it was a constant guessing game about who had ordered what, with guests receiving plates they then passed to other guests; server refilled a wine glass only when asked, and then only for the person who asked for a refill. And the food quality was average at best given the price point.

We brought a group of 8 to the restaurant after a day of wine tasting and they seated us in a back room that was private. The staff did a great job of waiting on our table. And everyone loved the food! The chicken and orecchiette were the favorite dishes! We had a great experience!

We shared a wonderful lunch with our office group of 15 that had traveled via Limo Bus to Los Olivos. Lunch and the overall atmosphere was a high point in our day of building relationships with new and old friends. The food and wine selections definitely did not disappoint! We were quickly seated upon arrival and enjoyed every moment of our time at Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Cafe. As this was my second time at the restaurant, I am happy to look forward to many more times, as I visit the Santa Barbara area.

It’s a shame that when you buy wine from the adjacent wine shop you still have to pay $30 corkage 👎👎👎 food was great and service too . Love the restaurant 🙏🏻

Traditional, French influenced cuisine. We had the burger (simple, but excellent) and the cheese plate (it was great). We didn’t order wine, but I’m sure the perfectly paired wine would have brought the meal to the next level.

We were seated promptly and within a couple minutes our drink orders had been taken; our waitress (Kelly) gave us time to come up with our order and checked back with us every couple minutes until we were ready. The food arrived for our party of four in good time and was appropriate temperature; presentation was beautiful, and quality of products and preparation perfect. Water glasses kept full.
Kelly was engaging without being the least bit obtrusive. Dishes cleared as soon as each plate was finished.
This was our second time at the restaurant (the other time was a busy weekend day, we sat at the bar to eat).
Not a single deficiency, it was an awesome dining experience. Five stars!
Reservation definitely recommended.

I love this place! I only wish they had a full liquor license since wine after a day of wine tasting is sometimes too much. Food is great, and a good variety on the menu. My sister is a finicky vegetarian and she always has a great selection of things to order as well.

We arrived earlier than our reservation time but were seated immediately at an outside table. The hostess was pleasant and made us feel welcome. Our server was pleasant and helpful. We ordered the Steak frites and the Portobello burger, both prepared perfectly. The bread was to die for. Ordered the Grenache and were each served a generous glass of this delicious wine. We will definitely be back.

To be honest our meals were just ok. My pork shank was very dry. My wife’s Beef Suco was dry. Ok flavors but just not what I would expect after paying $180. Our wine bottle was $45.

I thought it was kind of odd for them not to have enough champagne flutes for our party of 5 (at 530 on a Saturday). And our waiter was a little aloof. But the food and the space and the wine menu were fantastic. I’ll definitely be going back.

We were disappointed being seated in the back room.
There is no ambiance, and it’s like a dungeon. We were there for a special occasion, and the guest of honor was disappointed. We requested to be reseated upfront, but the request was denied.

There were 7 of us in our party and we got to the restaurant 30 minutes earlier than our reservation. The host was very polite and we were seated right away. Our server was great and very knowledgeable. Our food came out and everything was excellent!!! I ordered the lamb shanks with a side of raddichio salad, soooo yummy! My hubby and I were here in June 2018 for our 33 year wedding anninversary and we had a wonderful experience. Your place has become one of my favorite restaurant!

We had a large party, and were placed in the back room. It was so noisy, and you could barely hear the person talking sitting next to you.
While we were appreciative of the restaurant accommodating 11 of us, the accommodations were not good.
