We really enjoyed the atmosphere and prices. The manager came over and talked to us and was very warm and inviting. The only thing that was a bit of a downer was the brisket was pretty dry but luckily I only had one of those in my taco lineup. However the pork belly tacos were absolutely outstanding.
We love everything - Chingones is our favorite DTC spot
Terrible service and the queso was gross!
Birthday. No special arrangements from the restaurant.
Good but overpriced for what you get.
When we arrived they told us they no longer accepted reservations, so our Open Table reservation was useless. I had made the reservation over 1 month in advance. It would have been nice if they had called everyone with outstanding reservations and informed us, rather than having us show up without one. I would have made a reservation elsewhere, as we had a concert to go to and limited time.
the restauurant was good- noisy and basically a taco and margarita hot spot- very loud and energetic. They do not take open table reservations or any reservations- so even if you get a confirmation -do not trust or use it. open table is confused.
Always a treat and always good! Also, their peach margaritas (when available) are incredible. Too bad that they don't take reservations any longer - better get there early.
Los Chingones had great food! However, due to a glitch they lost our opentable reservation and we ended-up on a table barely big enough to hold our chips and salsa and drinks at the same time. Service was ok but felt rushed.
All that said, the food was excellent as were the drinks. Would go back just not on a Friday night.
Happy hour was good value. Rating would be much worse if I had to pay full price for the tacos given how small they are. Also, every item seemed very saucy and more salty for our tastes but "each to their own"
We have gone to Los Chingones a LOT, it is one of our favorite places. I a, there almost every other week. So, for my birthday, eight of us decided to meet there. Maybe there were too many of us, but this was the only time our experience was crummy there.
Took a half hour for server to take our order, and anything special got messed up. I added eggs to my order, didn’t happen; girlfriend asked for no spicy peppers on anything, didn’t happen, so she only ate chips; another couple shared two different entrees and asked them to be fit in half, didn’t happen. Three of us never got our drink order.
Don’t know what to say - I guess we will be back? Maybe this just isn’t the place for a group of eight.
Great street tacos. Especially worth mentioning: Pork Belly with Citrus Salsa and Chicken Leg. Also guacamole and salsa trio. Don't miss the Chipotle/Pineapple salsa.
Some of the best Tacos in Denver, salsas are top notch as well! Great drinks too!
Higher end street tacos with that classic Troy Guard touch. A little expensive for a traditional 'street taco' but worth it for the integrity Troy brings to all of his culinary experiences. Highly recommend for any occasion.
Smaller serving sizes and very loud overall experience. Would have liked to have heard my conversations much easier.
Definitely small plates. Expensive, and not a lot of food in return.
Their guac was fantastic as was the cocktail I had!
We love this restaurant! Amazing food&staff. Ate on the patio. Love it!
Second time here since we live nearby. First time was quite mediocre and this time even worse. Waiter never came around (so I couldn't even get a fork). Tacos came out cold. Other restaurants owned by this company (tag, tag burger, g&g, etc) all great, and so this one is a big disappointment.
Shrimp taco was fantastic. Pork belly was delicious. Citrus salsa was interesting on this taco. A little much. More like a citrus salad.
Always terrific Happy Hour - fantastic ginger pineapple margarita! The brussel sprouts are always excellent!
We sat in the booth closest to the kitchen. There were no other tables available or we would have moved. The wait staff made no attempt to keep things quiet. There were loud bangs the entire dinner. The skinny margarita was way too tart. The waiter was not attentive. The pork belly taco was almost entirely fat. We have been here many times or I wouldn't return.
I like it but husband complained that it was not enough food with meals. Great chips & salsa!
Fun vibe and great menu options. Fresh, pretty healthy and very tasty dishes. Share plates or have your own. Outdoor space is inviting; some is covered. Great as an after work gathering place. Lunch is only Thursday and Friday which makes it even more popular those days.
The food was outstanding. Rich flavors they have you savoring every bite. The math was solid and smooth. This is a very fun restaurant and a good place for an exciting meal with friends.
Fantastic service. Delicious food.
Always a good decision! Food, service, atmosphere are always on point.
Fantastic food and service! So delicious !!! The waitress was very informative and honest about the spice level and different flavor options offered. Can't go wrong with any of their margaritas either!
Great food, service and location! Oh yea and Margs!
We had been here before when it first opened and had a good experience. We brought our elderly father to dinner and it was so loud that none of us could even hear anyone but the person sitting right next to us. The food was good, but over priced. The margarita's were great!
Food was delicious and service was great! We will definitely be back!
The server brought our main courses before the appetizers. They took them back and 60 seconds later, brought both the appetizers and main courses together. They acted put out when we told them to take them back! It's too millennial for me.
In all fairness, the manager got us a new server and came over to apologize.
Loud and crowded. Make a reservation, for sure! Even on a Tuesday. Food was good for casual Mex.
Great fusion on Mexican cuisine. Excellent service!
We have never had a bad meal here. Fun atmosphere best waitstaff in Denver.
Fun restaurant, good food, lots of fun margaritas. It was crowded and quite noisy though.
Echoing other reviews, but WOW is it noisy here. Music is too loud, and a very active bar with lots of folks enjoying their libations made for a rough outing for our family. Server was unfriendly and pretentious. Food was very tasty, however.
Food was good, but it has definitely decreased in quality since it first opened.
Service was terrible.
We went on a Friday night (Cinco de Mayo to boot!) and were seated even earlier than our reservation time. Our server greeted us quickly and was friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to answer all of our menu questions even though she was super busy. She made great recommendations and the food was great. We will definitely be back.
