Was able to make last minute reservations while staying at the hotel as a guest. It was not very busy so we were able to be seated right away and against the window. While the spinning is not so slow that you don't realize it, it's also not fast enough that you feel it. Your view changes as you sit and it's fun to have the city view change without having to move. Drinks are priced about average for hotels, and the menu is a bit limited (though I do think they let you order from the LA Prime menu if you'd like a full meal). Two cocktails and a shared dessert was 65.00 before tip. More

My son and I are in town for vacation so we wanted to try some place cool. This fit the bill, cool atmosphere for sure. I got the feeling that they were a bit understaffed, it was a very busy (I thought!) Tuesday night and the server, bartender and food runner were friendly the service was slow and we had to ask for drink refills and wait 15 minutes to pay the bill. I’d go back and hope the turn was a little quicker. More

Sushi | Simi Valley, Ventura County

Me and my girlfriend have had several omakase’s throughout the San Francisco Bay Area but Sushi Tanaka takes the cake for the best we’ve ever had. We have been twice already and are making it a tradition to go every year, we live in Sonoma so it is about a 7 hour drive for us but well worth it. The chef really takes the time to put amazing flavors together, just perfection in every bite. You will be left speechless, trust me! Their omakase is only $100, we are use to the $250+ omakases in sf which don’t leave us nearly as satisfied as Tanaka. Service is great as well. Our favorite restaurant that we will continue to rave about. Thank you sushi Tanaka for another wonderful experience ! More

This will be the best review I write for any restaurant by far. I went to Polo Lounge Saturday for the first time and had to return the next day Sunday for more! The Polo Lounge has become my most favorite restaurant in all of Los Angeles! I love the Pink Hotel, I love the souffles and the service is amazing. Everyone is very nice and welcoming and treats their customers with the highest quality service. I love Polo Lounge!! A++++++++++ 10 out of 5 stars. :) More

Japanese | Torrance / Carson, Beach Cities

Great Izakakaya full of Japanese salarymen fresh off the plane. All the small plates are traditional and authentic, they also have extensive sashimi and oyster h/s choices that went perfect with my pitcher of Asahi draft. Can’t say enough about the service, Japanese girls for sure but no name tags like next door at Manpuku so I can’t give out any names.......in conclusion, I totally overate and overdrank but it was all well worth the Hachi experience!!! Discover Los Angeles

Think Los Angeles is a one-industry town? Think again. From the micro-Seoul of Koreatown to unexpected fusion cuisines (take Chinese-Mexican, for one) and strip malls that house destination restaurants, the city’s restaurant scene is notably experimental and diverse. Ask locals where to find the best taco truck (or lonchero) in the city, and you’ve struck a match. These mobile microenterprises are a part of the city's lifeblood. With L.A.’s own Pulitzer Prize-winning food critic, Jonathan Gold, describing the city as “less of a melting pot—more of a glittering mosaic,” we’re seeing L.A.’s vast palate show up on the plate.
