1 Pico was recommended to me by a friend and it didn't disappoint. The sunset views were spectacular. The service was spot on. The atmosphere was California nautical and nice. And the food was very good. I had the Hamachi Crudo (excellent) and the Pork Chop which also was excellent. I highly recommend this place. More

Receptionist were a little nonchalant when coming in. The food was amazing as always. Waited for a table, for about 10-15 minutes after my reservation time so ended up sitting at the bar. Was told by the host that she would come check in when a table opened up but she never checked back. Not a major issue but did find it rude. Bartender was friendly but only checked in on us for the order and then when the food was placed down. Seemed to care more about his regulars and talking with them than making sure everything was good or that we needed anything else. Was wanting to do coffee and a treat but decided to just go elsewhere for it. Overall the food was delicious, the service could have been better and the ambiance was beautiful as it always is. More

I’ve been dining here frequently for a while now. We had the guacamole that comes with the spinach tortillas and I about died! I’m sad I never ordered that from the start. Service was to be expected. It’s was a slow Monday which was nice because I was on a date... They placed us inside which was fine, but my preferred seating is on the front patio. Not the end of the world. See y’all soon:) More

Great food and great service. The uni that they serve are the best that I have EVER had. Three different varieties and each tastes different. A special place for sure. Each item that they served were delicious and fresh. You are there to experience the taste of the fresh fish and ingredients rather than 'soy sauce' over fish. More

L’APPART

Contemporary French / American | Downtown, Downtown / South and East LA

L'APPART by AIR FOOD is above all two passionate visionaries, Marc and Thierry. They have come from two completely different paths.
One was a contractor in logistics the other a chef in London and Paris.
What they both have in common besides the love of good food is the love of street culture. Years ago they met in Paris during a regular sale of shoes at the Place de la République…
From this meeting, the pair launched into a collaboration of sharing their passion for food. They started with pop-up restaurants with the aim of offering gastronomic street food to all, from a range of mixed recipes from different cultures and from gastronomic food to street food. Then, they had a brainwave…. Resulting in to transforming their Pop-ups into a real restaurant in downtown LA. From PARIS to LA come and travel with us.

Discover Los Angeles

Think Los Angeles is a one-industry town? Think again. From the micro-Seoul of Koreatown to unexpected fusion cuisines (take Chinese-Mexican, for one) and strip malls that house destination restaurants, the city’s restaurant scene is notably experimental and diverse. Ask locals where to find the best taco truck (or lonchero) in the city, and you’ve struck a match. These mobile microenterprises are a part of the city's lifeblood. With L.A.’s own Pulitzer Prize-winning food critic, Jonathan Gold, describing the city as “less of a melting pot—more of a glittering mosaic,” we’re seeing L.A.’s vast palate show up on the plate.
