Great Italian birthday meal for my mom and dad. A St Louis favorite.
We were celebrating a birthday which turned out great. Everyone raved about the dishes and the service was fast and friendly as well!
This was our first time at Lorenzo’s and we were very happy! Jennifer was an attentive server who took great care of everyone in our party of six. We brought our own wine and the corkage fee was very reasonable.
Highly recommend Lorenzo’s for an enjoyable meal that is delicious and a great value!
All enjoyed the food immensely. 9 different dishes, all wonderful!
Whenever I am in St. Louis, I like to try a different restaurants on the Hill. This experience has been the best so far. Despite a full house, the service was personable and efficient. I had the Veal Piccata which was the best I have had anywhere. My dining companions had different types of Risotto which they savored and took home a large leftover portion. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. This is not a secret so be certain to make reservations!
I highly recommend Lorenzo's. It is a classic example of good Italian food on the Hill. Service, food, and ambience was excellent. Would definitely go back to this gem of a restaurant.
Great medal. Goat cheese ravioli appetizer was awesome. Special of the day pasta was good too. Loved the laid back atmosphere.
It was my first time at Lorenzo’s. The waitress was great. I just didn’t like where we were sitting. It was in the middle of tbe restaraunt. The food was good also.
Great service and food.
Very good as always.
Always great food and service. We love coming here for dinner.
Great meal and service. The food was great and our service was very good. One of the best places we have eaten on " The Hill "
Wow! Great Italian cuisine done right. The server was a neighborhood guy who directed us to the right things to order
Always a great dinner and this visit did not disappoint. Seafood risotto was a hit along with the chicken speidini.
The food was absolutely delicious! Loved the linguine!
Celebrated a belated Valentines Day dinner. Have been coming here for years and always lives up to its reputation for fine food. Had the osso bucco and risotto and the sea food risotto. Both were excellent. The wait staff were very well versed on menu options and offered help on wine selections. All in all a very good evening and we will be back once more
Valentines Day Dinner
I truly have never had a bad meal here.
Excellent all around.
Our dining experience was very good. My wife had the seafood pasta and I had the Chiecken Spiedini which was fantastic. This was our second time at this restaurant and we really enjoyed ourselves.
Thank you to Lorenzo's for making my husbands 60th birthday so special. We were placed in the Board Room for privacy. The food was fabulous, price is right and service was excellent! This restaurant is a hidden treasure and we highly recommend for just a night out, special occasion or whatever your occasion may be.
Service, ambiance, and food was mediocre. Compared to the other restaurants on the hill, I would not choose this.
We were served cold bread with cold packaged butter. Normally, I would expect to be served olive oil with hot bread. Our main dishes were good. However, the bread pudding was just Ok. I probably wouldn’t recommend this place for a special occasion.
We went to Lorenzo’s for my son’s birthday. The food was delicious and the service was great! They brought my son a sundae with a candle. We will go back soon
The food was good , as was the ambiance! However, we had a reservation for 12 people and told them we we’re celebrating my father’s 80th birthday. Instead of offering a free dessert for booking our event w them, without telling us, theycharged for bringing a cake, $24.00 !! They didn’t mention we would be charged and all the candles were burned down to the bottom by the time the cake came so the specialty candles weren’t visible at the presentation. If you’re gonna charge for bringing out the cake , make sure you light the candles righ before presenting! Do it right for 24$. That was an unfortunate, unexpected and disappointing end to our meal.
Lorenzo's is our go to special occasion place. The food and service are always outstanding and they offer dishes that are unusual, not just the usual Italian menu.
We arrived at 5:45 in time for our reservation. We had to leave for symphony concert by 7:30. We thought that with a 5:45 reservation, we would have plenty of time to dine and get to symphony in plenty of time. We received one appetizer timely. However, it was another 45 minutes before the salads came. We had to tell our waitress that we had to leave by 7:30 and needed our entree soon. She was able to speed up the arrival of our food. The quality of our food was delicious. The problem was not with our waitress as much as it was a problem with kitchen getting food out timely.
We have been to Lorenzo many times. This time was disappointing. Don't think we will have dinner here again before a concert.
Amazing food as always, their muscles are more than fantastic. Service was great, we told the waitress we were going to be there for a while and talk and take our time between courses. She was more than happy to accommodate us. It is one of my favorite places to go on dates. A little pricy, but worth the occasional date when able to.
The Gorgonzola spread and bread sticks are outstanding. I would like to buy a pint or two and bring it home. Both the food and service was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We tried this restaurant based upon its reviews, and we were not disappointed. Excellent food and good drinks and wine. We’ll be back there in the future.
Appetizers were fine — bruschetta was tasty, but a little heavy on the balsamic vinegar, arancini were a little heavy. All 4 main courses were excellent. One person had the fish special (parrot fish with couscous), one had the beef special (filet with a cheese and mushroom topping), one had linguini with shellfish ( a large and beautifully arranged dish), and one branzini with olives over polenta. We ordered a bottle of Riesling and it was delicious, but the waitress did not mention that it was the last bottle until we were ready for a second do we had to choose something else. She interacted with us as little as possible— reluctant to describe dishes very much or to suggest anything. She did not pay attention to getting us correct utensils, so after each dish arrived we had to wait for someone at the table to be given the fork or spoon needed to eat whatever was just served. The meal was delicious and prices reasonable. Would be happy to return, but would request a different waitress next time.
This restaurant is a favorite. Food is excellent and service friendly. The menu offering is a good value.
Great food-great service! Would recommend to anyone who enjoys delicious Italian food.
Very good and quite authentic Italian fare. The veal osso bucco was tender and prepared in traditional manner. Gremolata on top and served with a bone marrow spoon. Recommended.
I had the lobster ravioli and it was very good. You could tell it was home made past and the taste of the lobster and the sauce melted in your mouth. Highly recommend. Oh the service was excellent, she was great!
I went on New Year's Eve with my son and my husband. My son had the special, which was a halibut over garlic mashed potatoes. It was delicious. My husband and I had risotto with seafood and it was good, but could have had more seafood. The atmosphere was lovely.
We walked right to our table on New Year’s Eve, no waiting. Very prompt service and food was yummy!
Wonderful meal. Service a little slow, but the meal was delicious!
We love the food and their staff is very friendly and attentive. I have yet to have a bad experience.
The food was drowned in sauce and the salad was swimming in dressing. Some of the dishes were okay, but nothing outstanding. If you go, stay away from the pasta and gnocchi...unless you like having a little pasta with your sauce.
