Lorenzo’s never disappoints! The best value on the Hill. Excellent food and the price is right.
Excellent Beef Tenderloin.
We love Lorenzo's and come here often. My kids LOVE the pizza so it's great for the family. We like to sit in the kitchen room if it's available so the kids can watch their pizza get made. The food is always delicious and the portions are generous. You can never go wrong with Lorenzo's!
We had wonderful food, wonderful service. Everyone was happy with their meal - I had the seafood risotto and it was delicious. Be nice to the waitstaff - you get what you give! Kelly was delightful.
Very good with a great wait staff. A little more expensive than some other restaurants on the hill.
Excellent northern Italian food, prompt and amiable service. Well worth the visit.
Best Italian you will find in St. Louis!
I enjoyed Lorenzo’s. The food was great and the service responsive. The ambiance was a bit loud, but it was Mother’s Day, so I am not all that surprised. I had the Veal Piccata. It was delicious!
Mom couldn’t have been more happy with her Mother’s Day dinner. The Tortellini is the best on The Hill.
The dinner was wonderful. The service provided by Jennifer was superb. I enjoyed the Veal. It was delicious. I would recommend the House Salad over the Cesar Salad. If you are looking for basic spaghetti and meatballs, this is not the place. If you are looking for Northern Italy food - you cannot go wrong!
Booked online for my birthday dinner and not one mention from staff or our server - who by the way was about as unfriendly as anyone I’ve met. The food was good but not worth the drive or fighting to find a parking spot within 5 blocks of the place. First and probably only visit.
Spinach gnocchi was best that I have ever tasted. Breadsticks are exceptional. Angus beef with potatoes and mushrooms were delectable. Calamari needed some dipping sauce. Spimoni made for tasty shared desert. Never get tired of this place.
We prefer that the servers take our order and pass by the table and make eye contact to see if we need anything ...rather than interrupt our conversation, repeatedly to ask “how is everything?” “Is everything tasting good?” Everything is great which is why we go back every month— if something is not we’ll stop them as they go by
Always a winner!
My boyfriend and I made last minute rezzy's here for our first visit after our plans fell through- although it was a little pricier than what I expected we went all out and were not at all disappointed! Upon our arrival I noticed an empty table on their (small-ish) patio, the staff kindly and promptly set it up for us after we asked to be seated outside if possible. The arancini appetizer was beautiful and the portion was perfect for a couple or party of two. We both got an entree special, for $30 per entree we each recieved a beef fillet, steamed veggies and au gratin potatoes that were out of this world. I asked for n't steak cooked medium abd it was perfect. We also ordered a couple of bottles of wine that were reasonably priced, a 2014 Lagaria pinot grigio at $26 a bottle I believe. Our waitress Maureen was pleasant and informative, and the rest of the staff made sure our plates were always cleared quickly after finishing and that our waters were full. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to someone looking to celebrate a special evening or try something new for date night!
Great experience and food. Will be back for sure.
Awesome place; great food, nice ambiance, good wine and excellent service :-)
I'm not sure if this is the best Italian restaurant in town but, I cannot think of one better!
Have never had a bad meal here. Never disappointing.
Delicious food, unique dishes, nice presentation, friendly service.
Restaurant week was our original reason for dining at Lorenzo’s and it never disappoints! Food was fabulous!!
A perfect evening. Food was awesome, as was the service, and the wine.
We went for Hill Restaurant Week--great 3 course meal at a fixed price. Nice variety
of selections on the special menu. Best restaurant on the Hill.
Very good time food and service were very good glad we found a real gem
The food was really good. The food took quite a while to come out, though. And not that busy at the time. The gnocchi was delicious!
We were a bit disappointed with food quality. We had been once before and enjoyed it, but with so many good options for Italian food, we're not likely to return.
Our food was wonderful and delicious. The service was fantastic and our waitress outstanding (Jennifer). Will definitely go back!
The restaurant is Brett nice, excellent service. Wine wasn't great, app was delicious, food was OK.
Went here for my birthday with my family - I wanted to try something new. I was very pleased with the service and the food. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered the risotto and veal - it was great. My husband order a filet and it was cooked perfectly. The decor is a little bit dated, but we were going for the food. I would recommend Lorenzo's to family/friends and I would go back again - there were a couple things on the menu I'd like to try.
Very nice decor. Good menu. Alrhough we did the $25 menu for Restaurant week, with a glass of wine and 2 beers our bill with tip was over $100. This would have been a fantastic $50 meal but $100 busted the budget. We'd go back though. It was lovely.
Great food reasonably priced wines neighborhood gem. Area is outside city center but worth the trip. Many other choices on the hill.
First timers at Lorenzo’s for the Hill Restaurant week. We had options from the special menu of the week. Shrimp ravioli appetizers were fantastic. Entrees - chicken speidini had good flavors but chicken was pretty dry. The risotto was too heavy and one dimensional. Gelato was delicious! Standard Chardonnay was good and reasonable. Service was perfectly paced and our server was delightful! We were seated in the bar dining area. Atmosphere was ok. No tablecloths. Didn’t feel like a high end Hill restaurant. There must be other dining areas but we didn’t see them.
We were early for our reservation. We were seated at 640. Not one person waited on us. At 655 we asked hostess to see our server. Waited another 5 minutes without being helped. Parties that were seated after us had drinks and food orders already taken. It wasn’t until we walked out that someone asked us if we were helped. We kept on walking out. Very disappointed in the service as this is supposed to be top notch restaurant on The Hill. We will never return or refer.
Tried for the first time during Restaurant Week on The Hill 2018. Great food, really liked our menu choices. Would certainly recommend and will be coming back again !
The food was delicious. Wait staff in hurry to remove China and wine glasses from table. We were still eating!
Had a super enjoyable family dinner here! Staff was wonderful and menu offered a wide variety of original dishes. We all left full and happy!
The food was great! I had the gnocchi with gorgnozola fontina cheese. I would have chosen a different meat to accompany it like prosciutto or chicken, but it was outstanding! The service was fast and they brought out bread, butter, drinks and refills on drinks in a timely manner. The tiramisu was extremely well done and the cheese with breadsticks was awesome too. Only thing is we didn't know the breadsticks were breadsticks and that the cheese was there until the end of the meal. It was also pretty dang cold in there and clear that they were focused on turning tables, which in a nice restaurant like that, I don't want to feel rushed. All in all, it worked well because we had two children with us, so we didn't want to stay too long.
One of our favorite go to places. Love the variety of Italian fare
The food was very good as usual and the service by Kelly was outstanding! She is definitely an asset to the restaurant but we always like how all the wait staff helps each other out no matter who is assigned to the table. We definitely recommend the restaurant as our favorite on the Hill.
Love this restaurant, food is always amazing.
