At Lorenzo's the atmosphere is classy and laid-back. It is the type of restaurant where you can have a nice business dinner or enjoy a meal with the family.
We offer two beautiful private rooms, The Boardroom, which seats up to 14 or The Chefs Table which seats up to 8. You may choose to enjoy our patio on a beautiful day and savor one of the great Italian wines off our extensive wine menu. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable no matter what meal or day you visit. We look forward to showing you all we can offer at Lorenzo's Trattoria.
Once again, Lorenzo’s provided consistently good food and service in a friendly atmosphere.
This was my first time to Lorenzo's and they were very flexible about accepting a large reservation (we had 22 in our party). There was something on the menu for everyone and the price points for a large range of people was perfect. Our server was amazing. I'm not sure how she handled all 22 of us and also waited on other tables but she was very attentive and on top of it all night long. There are many good spots on The Hill in St. Louis but I highly recommend this one for great food and outstanding service.
We’ve been here numerous times and are always impressed with the food and service. The owner or manager is always present too which is nice. We had the barramundi, ribeye, chicken spedieni, calamari and grilled shrimp. All outstanding. They also accommodated my two young children very well with chicken tenders and fries.
The food, drinks, and ambiance were great. Service was a little too fast.
Requested a quiet table if possible due to hearing impairment and was most pleased at being given a small, private dining room for my party of 5. Thought we might be forgotten being tucked away but the server was right on the spot for every need. Great food too.
Excellent food and service. Would recommend to everyone to try it out.
Third time eating here and as usual, everything was perfectly executed, food was outstanding as was service.
This place is great for any meal and the food is fabulous and delicious. Never had a bad meal here.
Second visit within 4 months as an out of towner. The first experience was outstanding. The second was equally outstanding. Service, ambience and food top notch.
Thank you to Mae for adding immensely to our evening.
Nice comfortable dinning room with attentive service staff.
Best on the hill. Good as the north end! Except they need a mikes pastry somewhere
We have been to Lorenzo's many times over the years. Each time we enjoy the food and atmosphere. For a second time we had the back room and loved it. Our server was fantastic (second time we have had her - Josephine ??). She was friendly, upbeat and accurate, yes, highly attentive too.
Excellent northern Italian food at reasonable prices. A nice departure from the usual tomato-based, heavy sauce, Italian fare that is typical of St. Louis.
Nice dinner prior to a Blues game, party of ten. Service was great and so was the food.
The food was very good. The service lacking. The waitress was unhappy and brusque. Although we had in advance indicated it was a birthday and mentioned it again at seating, it was not acknowledged or recognized. Another table got a birthday dessert and recognition. We were ignored. I would definitely eat here again, as the food was very good and reasonably priced. I hope we would have a different Waitperson.
Nice environment reasonably quiet and nicely decorated. Food was excellent but limited choices. Great service.
I had my the reservations for my birthday. I had my daughter go in to Che k in while I searched for parking and the hostess was rude when my daughter requested a bench table. The waiter didn’t mention the specials of the day and when we had asked for a substitute for the wine sauce he tried to tell us it all cooks out, and when I told him it was for religious reasons he asked what religion! My daughter then mentioned that it was my birthday celebration and you could tell the waiter didn’t believe but provided the table adjacent to us with two desserts with candles! I guess if you don’t fit into the crowd at Lorenzo’s you should go there.
Lorenzo's did not disappoint. Jennifer our server was so good, involved just enough without hovering. Rave reviews from my dining partners, but I have to say the Calf Liver special (I can hear some of you shrieking) was the best dish I've eaten in at least 4 months, absolutely amazing.
Our college age son enjoyed the cannoli, and his mother and I really enjoyed the amazing wine list. Not so large that it required an hour to peruse, but both of the wines we selected were absolutely stellar.
A Pinot Noir and a Barolo.
While this is not value dining by any means, I must say you get what you pay for at Lorenzo's.
Plenty of restaurants charge these prices but do not deliver, Lorenzo's probably goes a little overboard on entree pricing especially specials but it was a memorable dinner.
I'll start out with the positive. Lorenzo's house salad is wonderful! However my husband's dinner had zero flavor. Mine was ok, albeit the meat was a bit chewy. Aside from the food, I couldn't wait to finish eating and leave due to the overwhelming bathroom deodorizer smell that filled the entire restaurant from the moment we entered the front door through finishing our meal. (if we weren't short on time, we may have looked for another place to dine) Luckily I feel this is a simple fix that would definitely help with the experience we had for the next time.
Amazing food and service!! Definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends! Eric is an amazing manager and really made our night special. Thank you again!
My Gnocchi was slightly undercooked but the flavor was great
The service was excellent from the hostesses to the table service. We had a fabulous time for my birthday. The food was excellent. The service just gets better every time we come. Keep up the excellent job!!!
Molto buono, mille grazie. Perfect evening. Outstanding!
We loved it. Food was delicious. Enjoyed the experience very much
Authentic Italian food....not Italo-American.
One of the best in St. Louis!
Everything was just fantastic. Larry and his staff do an outstanding job of making you feel like family, serving great food and having great wine. I was totally impressed. This is the best restaurant on "The Hill" for sure.
We came on a Monday night. They were ready for us when we arrived. Party of 7. The food was pretty good. I got the portabella mushroom tortellini and it was awesome. The bread was good but the butter was too hard to spread on the bread 😖 The server was not attentive. He brought drinks and we ordered appetizers. But then we waited 40 min before we could ORDER our main course. Then we waited again to get the main course. Our server seemed too busy to even look at us. I had to flag down another server to take our order. She said she didn't know where our server was but she would take our order anyways. We were late to our next appointment. Maybe our server was having a bad day. Everything else was a good experience. If I'm back in town I would try this place again.
Four of us went out to eat here as we wanted to go somewhere authentic on The Hill. The atmosphere was very cozy yet upscale and the food was very good. Lots of choices that all sounded so tempting. Breadsticks in middle of table were fun and tasty. Prices were reasonable for a finer dining experience. Both people who ordered Caesar salad said it was the best Caesar they had ever had hands down. Great first experience on The Hill for our newbie friends.
We had a nice experience, service was very good. I asked a question about their dishes and was given her recommendation which I took. We felt the food was good but not great. For the money spent it was a good value.
My only real complaint was the toasted ravioli appetizer. It was too crunchy and bland tasting to be a great appetizer.
Food is always great. Did not find our server very engaging. Didn't seem like she really wanted to be there. First time we experienced that at Lorenzo's.
Early reservations, great food. I forgot my glasses on the table and when I called, it was like pulling teeth to get info.
The restaurant was bright cheery and clean. The food was terrific and the noise level was relatively low. It was a great evening to share with friends.
Food is incredible every time we visit. Our server had an off night I guess because she seemed to have a bit of an attitude at times. That is NOT the norm here at all. It won’t keep us from returning though.
This is very good Italian-American food, done well, in extreme portions, served by friendly, competent staff. If you are wondering about the hyphen, above, it is to try to correctly identify the cuisine. Italian inspired American cooking is what this is, and the kitchen knows its business.
Our server was very nice. That’s about as much as I can say
Had an enjoyable evening with great food, only wish I had saved room for the tiramisu.
Always delicious! A great dining experience with a small group or large group. We always make a point to eat at Lorenzo's when we are in town!
First time at the restaurant and was impressed by the good tasting food and excellent service
It’s always a pleasure to come in to this welcoming restaurant. The front-of-house folks made us at home, our server (Antonio) knew the food like the back of his hand and didn’t laugh at our schoolroom Spanish, and the kitchen staff made my 80th BD joyful with an off-the-menu spaghetti aglio e olio that was as good as any we’ve enjoyed this side of the Atlantic. Thanks to everybody, especially our brilliant daughter, who picked up the tab.
My wife and I enjoyed the evening meal. Food was great and large portions.
I will highly recommend this restaurant to others.
